Very cute mom & pop bagel shop. Went on a weekday, and they had a pretty solid selection of bagels left. Ended up spending about $20. -Breakfast bagel -Pizza bagel -6 bagels (Everything, Onion, Sundried Tomato, Jalapeno) .95 cent each -Small tub of low-fat homemade cottage cheese I was a bit disappointed....I had these bagels when they were FRESH, and they were delicious... but mid-day, they weren't as fluffy. The next few days as I went through my stash, they started to harden up. The WORST...was when I went to cut one and the dough wasn't fully cooked yet. Being that each bagel was .95 cents, and considering how much gas would cost... i figure forget it....I just wonder how many other un-cooked bagels were in that batch. The best flavor is "Everything" - but after the raw bagel situation....idk.... maybe if i'm really craving for it. read more

There were only a few bagels left to choose from and the ones we ordered (toasted with butter and toasted with cream cheese) were barely toasted. The bagels we ordered with butter had butter an inch thick like it was cream cheese. Both bagels weren't edible. When we asked to use the restroom for our child they told us we could walk across the street to Starbucks. We won't be returning and anyone in the area should just go to Starbucks or Panera. read more

I love love love Clearwater. I used to go to Clearwater for late start breakfasts when I was a student at WHS and it gets fairly packed during the morning. Now, when I visit, I usually come around 12 or 1 and there are hardly ever any guests. The shop usually has one college student manning the front and I personally have never had a real complaint about the workers. They may text on their phones, but when my food is ready, they give it to me lickety-split. And I've never had a screwed up order, ever. I prefer to visit Clearwater during the weekends (Friday - Sunday) because the owners run the shop during these days and they're very friendly. They make small chit-chat with you and are extremely nice. My friends and I hung out here close to closing and the owner offered us free bagels I highly recommend the Tuna Melt on a Fresca Bagel. It is to die for. When you buy a lunch sandwich, they give you a card and after ten purchases, you get a sandwich free. I have gotten my free sandwiches plenty of times and each time, it is more delicious than the last. read more

The guy that works here has a lot to learn about "Friendly customer service" he has no idea or simply doesn't care to show a friendly face he is always upset about something and is the total opposite of his female partner she is very nice , this guy should stay in the back baking away from dealing directly with customers or just preparing orders no one cares to see him in his little bakers outfit with his angry face. In business when dealing directly with the customer he needs to learn that its not all about the extra $.25 he wants to charge it's about wanting to make people feel good about this place and that it's a good place to come and buy a good bagel and that the people working here are nice and friendly . This guy does not understand business and he is willing to lose $10.00 to make a dime . Honestly when I think of a cup of coffee or a bagel the next thing I think of is this guys poor attitude and many time I just go to other places instead . I get the sense this guy is always angry at his Female partner and she seems like she is always walking on egg shells around him. I have lived in walnut for 30 years and this is the third time ownership has changed if this guy doesn't change it will probably be a fourth ownership change. I love how close this place is to my school, makes it easy for me to grab a bagel and some coffee before class. The selection is a bit small but I don't mind. My lightly toasted jalapeno bagel w/ regular cream cheese always meets my expectations. The making of my blended vanilla coffee is a bit slow - the cashier usually has to call someone from the back area to come out to make it - but it's not a deal breaker for me. Delicious bagels and cream cheese I have to say. However, I am less than pleased that the owner charged me more then the list price. I watched him ring it up and enter a few dollars more then what the signs say. I think if you change your prices you need to change the signs over all I paid $23 and change for 12 bagels and large cream cheese. Its just far too expensive, I'll have to stick with Panera. Also its a little dishonest to charge more then you list. read more

I've been coming here for years to buy bagels for my staff before meetings. They loved them! Last time I went I asked for a dozen bagels the new owner handed me a card (I'm thinking it's a lunch card!) and said I had to place orders a night before for a dozen. I felt chastised! Seriously? For two weeks, I would go to Clearwater Bagel for bagels in various flavor and have them plain. I found that they still have great bagel like I remembered two years ago. Since I went there in the morning, the people that I saw behind the counter were very nice and always had a smile on their face. I love this bagel shop! Very nice little tucked behind place in this fairly Asian plaza near Mt. sac. Didn't know what to expect but there was a large selection of items and bagels to choose from. Most of them were all out by the time lunch hit. I ordered the California club which was pretty good I have to say. Had turkey avocado and bacon in it. It was around less than 5 dollars which is pretty cheap. The place is really small but it's nice and the staff is pretty friendly. There's only like two workers here. It's funny that it says c rating on yelp because I didn't even notice that. If I had seen it I probably wouldn't have gone in tbh. read more

We ordered and he said it would take about 10 minutes so we kind of waited to the side. He seemed really rushed. I got the lox bagel and my boyfriend got the club sandwich. When our food was ready, we went to pay, and I ordered an OJ and he wanted an iced coffee. My all-time favorite bagel place. I usually come here for breakfast after class. Pretty much everything here is homemade, and I love the bagels and cream cheese here. There are a lot of complaints about the service, and while it could be better in terms of how it's organized, the owner is still very nice to customers and has never treated me or my friends badly. Because of that, I give 5 stars. He also recognizes regulars quickly, and he knows what they usually want right away, which I thought was sweet. My favorite bagels are the subdried tomato/basil, and the spinach/Parmesan bagels. I actually bought a spinach and parmesan bagel with their cream cheese for a friend, and the first thing he said once he took a bite was "THIS IS THE BEST BAGEL EVER."
