I waited patiently, but no one called, showed up, or followed up. Hours later, Brien finally called claiming it was supposed to be a "phone appointment," which completely contradicted their own confirmations. If this is how they treat potential clients before a job even starts, imagine what happens once money is involved. Poor communication, zero accountability, and very unprofessional. Proceed with caution.

I say all this to say that none of the other contractors were willing to listen to my needs or draw anything up, based on my ideas. In fact, all of the other contractors came back with only price quotes which were more than Serious Leisure Pools, and told me that I would need to"draw up "the actual shape of my pool when they start digging. We chose Brian and Sonia from Serious Leisure Pools based on the fact that they have been in business for over 70 years, their ability to relate to my needs, the fact that they are local in the East Contra Costa County area and they were personable. Also, they were always willing and able to make changes at my request, at every step of the way during construction. I was always informed of every step of the construction from demolition of my existing backyard all the way to the very last day of construction. Also, it was important to me that I did not have to pay for services rendered at each phase of construction until the job was complete to my satisfaction. More importantly, the entire project was completed on time as promised. To say that we are, extremely happy with the service and product provided by Serious Leisure Pools is an understatement. Long story short, the pool sweep is working beautifully again! Joel has 18+ years of experience which is evident from the first time you speak to him. He's friendly, accommodating, and tries to save you money. He also gives you plenty of extra information about the pool and the filter system so you don't get swindled by other pool companies. Aquapro falsely reported that…read moreI needed "modifications" to install the new filter so that they could charge me out of pocket charges of $500. I had two other contractors give me quotes and state that no modifications are needed. Jason at Aquapro admitted that this is how they make money on customers that the home warranty sends them. They add vague "modifications" that aren't covered to the work-order when nothing actually needs to be modified so they can charge out of pocket charges. I told my home warranty and provided proof from the other quotes I received. Both Aquapro and First American Home Warranty are cheating their customers.

Odd/hostile experience working with Dakota and Andrew at Sullivan…read more There was minor damage to the cover of our hot tub on a service call and instead of accountability, Dakota blamed the age of the cover. It was a strange mix of defensiveness and blame on the call itself. We had an issue with the tub draining after a power outage and Sullivan saying that was impossible unless there is a leak or crack. Ok, well if it is a leak and crack then possibly inspect those areas as a service/repair service? I'm not an expert in hot tubs. We purchased a house that had a new hot tub installed, and the continued response of the hot tub being old for the reason why the damage occurred is weird. The middle part of the cover was also ripped apart from the seams and there was minimal accountability there as well. The new Operations Manager had a weird, defensive response as pictured below. You can be the judge if this is an off response to damages in an inspection and repair. The hot tub after servicing is also still leaking. We needed to hire another local servicer to do this repair work who properly described what might be the issue BEFORE coming out to work on the hot tub.
