I think these guys may have grown larger than they can handle. I have been taking my dry cleaning here for almost two years and have yet to have an issue. However, over the last month things have started to change. First, a friend that uses this place said they lost his favorite pair of pants. The very next time I went I had an extra pair of pants in my pick-up that weren't mine (or his..). I also found a 1.5inch tear in one pair of pants that I am fairly confident was not there when I dropped them off (though I can't say for sure). This all coincides with lines of 4+ people waiting to pick-up/drop-off when I used to walk right in/out. I'll continue to use them for now because there aren't any great alternatives, but I'll be keeping a close eye on everything I drop off and pick up from now on. read more

This place is EXCELLENT! The service is incredibly friendly. They always remember my name! Once coming off of two 120 hour work weeks in a row having had no time to get the dry cleaners to pick up my clothes, I called to see how late they were open since I was about five minutes away and it was two minutes until 7. The owner told me they closed at 7 but that if I was on my way she would happily wait for me to get there! They have also returned cash from my suit pocket, replaced a broken button for free and cleaned a stain from a silk dress that I thought was dead forever. I had horrible experiences with other dry cleaners in the area ruining my clothes and charging insane prices. As long as I live in Houston I will not use any other dry cleaner. read more

I have been living in Panama City Beach, FL which lacks drycleaning services. Twice I have traveled to Houston and brought shirts and drycleaning with me. The quality of service at Clean Smart was above expectation and the price extremely reasonable. I love that they send a text when the drycleaning is available for pick up. I also love that folded shirts cause no more than hanging, as I had the shirts done before I left and they were ready to pack. read more

Can't say enough good things about Clean Smart! I took in a yellowed with age wedding dress, with lots of intricate beading/pearls/sequins. I was worried about the fabric (silk) being permanently stained, or the beading falling off in the cleaning process. The manager brought out the person who would be working on it, and they assured me that they had done lots like this before and it would be well taken care of. It was very reassuring. I went in on a Tuesday and requested the dress be done by Friday. Thursday at noon I got an email saying it was ready! When I went in to pick it up, they remembered me and pulled the dress. And it was pure WHITE! No signs of yellowed aging or rust stains ANYWHERE. It was amazing. The manager told me they were so excited it came out so well, and they put it through a special process for me at no charge. The seams were white, and no beading or pearls or delicate lace was harmed at all. The dress looks soooo good, I couldn't be more excited or pleased with the outcome! To top it all off, the total price after tax was only $90! Three other places had quoted me at $200 and up, and I honestly don't think they would have taken nearly as much precautions with the gown as Clean Smart. They lose clothes. You need to be able to list every item you bring them, and be able to tell what's missing when they only return 11 of your 12 items. I dropped off a load of dress shirts for laundering (I'm extremely glad I didn't drop off any suits). My wife picked them up two days later. When I was able to look at them at home, I found one of my men's dress shirts was missing, and I now had a woman's blouse. I returned it and explained the mixup. They had no idea where my missing shirt was. I had to narrow down precisely what was missing- color, pattern, designer, which wasn't easy. They said they'd look. Within a week, I got a message that they would order me a new shirt. I appreciate the gesture, but I knew I hadn't had that in depth of a conversation with them. I drove it to speak with them, concerned they'd gloss over a detail and buy something for me I wouldn't have bought. The employee showed me the receipt for the online order, and it listed all the right details. So I left and waited. Weeks later they called me again. I went to go pick up the shirt. It was not what was ordered. It's not an inconsequential difference; that's what I was trying to avoid when I drove over weeks earlier to make sure they ordered the correct shirt. I pointed out the problem and the workers discussed it among themselves. They told me to leave and they'd call me again when it was ready. Two additional months have passed now. I'd give them credit for trying to make it right, but they didn't follow through. I'm left in the same place as if they hadn't tried at all. Bottom line: they lost my clothing. They might lose yours. I'm not taking my business there again. If it happened to me, it can happen to you too. Update (10/10/16)- I was contacted today (nearly a month after this review was posted) and told they have replaced my item. I went in and picked it up, and the details are correct. I'll give them credit for trying to make this right and will upgrade my rating from 1 star to 2 stars. read more

I started coming here close to a year ago based on the reviews on Yelp. I always see faithful customers come with their giant bags for dry clean and felt good that several customers trust this cleaners. I never ha a bad experience. The last time I dropped of 2 pairs of pants they both had this weird white residue. It was the first time I had issues with any articles of clothing. I went back and explained and they redid my pants for free. I was super happy that they did it with no complaints. I took off one star because sometimes the front staff can be short, but it happens. read more

The dry cleaning seems standard to me, and the prices are more or less in line with the competition. I do like that they clean on site, but so do several others in the area. My issue is that I dropped a pair of jeans off for hemming and asked for original hem - not only did they chop off the unique Paige Denim hem, the hem they replaced it with was 100% amateur hour...I don't even own a sewing machine and I could do at least as well. Then of course, they charge for their shoddy work and insist the only recourse (other than forfeiting my $150 jeans) is to come back in and talk to the manager weekdays between 8am and noon...good thing I have no job and nothing better to do (yes - that is 100% sarcasm) and even if I do manage to get my $12.99 back, my jeans look like crap. Zero stars earned. Tried this place for a few months. Now gone for good. They are unable to press a pair of jeans. They tore a hole in a new shirt. They stole $15 accidentally left in a pants pocket. They burned a pair of dress slacks. Call me foolish for returning, but I simply thought they could improve. Finally, the last straw. A shirt worn 1 time was missing. I reported it on 5/12, gave them exact date shirt was worn, exact date dropped off and exact date should have been included in order picked up. I was assured owner, Alejandro, would call 5/13. No call. Went there 5/14, no owner, no word on missing shirt, jeans pressed wrong again. Asked everyone that owner call me 5/16, he left me a message. Returned the call, still no shirt, said he would call 5/17. He did not. I called late that day and simply said I would go in with a receipt for the shirt and I wanted my money. I did so, and they paid me. Obviously shirt was gone and nobody had the courtesy to say so. I would have been happy to learn that and accept a credit if offered. BAD, BAD , BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! The last time I went, I dropped off four bags with 30+ items that needed to be dry cleaned at around 5:00pm. They had it all ready for me by 3:00pm the next day! All my clothes were in flawless condition and it only cost me $120 (which is an incredible deal, considering there's a place near my house that once charged me $22 for a jacket).
