Although it's a 15 minute drive, I don't mind it. They take really good care of garments, unlike places I've been to in the past. I love the little note cards they place letting you know they've taken extra care of stains or worn out clothing. On one occasion, they even replaced a button at no extra charge! This place is very professional, prompt, and quick. I brought clothes in early on a Saturday and they had it done same day (might have to be there before 9 but good to check with them first). I haven't had any problems with their quality either. And importantly their price is very reasonable. I definitely recommend it. The only downside is that it is popular enough that you may have to wait in a short line to get to the front desks and pick up (drop off is quicker though as you can just put your clothes bag in their bin). read more

Found Clean Smart highly rated on yelp despite there being several 1 and 2 star reviews and thought why not try it out. It's in a great location for my self and prices are affordable. I was dropping off a heavy load of my boyfriends clothes - 12 dress shirts and 12 pants - so I prayed to god everything would come back clean and brand new. I expected the clothes to be ready in a few days but was told pickup time would be 3pm the next day. Talk about fast! They even took my email to send notification of when it would be ready. At pickup I was told one of the pants had a stain they were working on getting out which is appreciated. No complaints here! read more

I've written very few yelp reviews in my history, all of which have been positive. I've even chosen to not write negative reviews for businesses when their services we're not up to expectations. As the son of a small business owner, I respect that all businesses have off days, thus I truly hope the good ones succeed and thrive. However, I cannot say the for Smart Cleaners after three egregious errors on their part which I just can't ignore and not let my local neighbors know about. We used CleanSmart frequently for nearly a year until they ruined a irreplaceable women's blouse and a men's custom made blazer. Both appeared to be caused by ironing mistakes as well as washing that caused bleeding/staining of another dress shirt. To add insult to injury, they also tried to hide the damage to the blazer by sowing up the battered, shrunken and ripped inside liner of the blazer. After several failed attempts to discuss the issues with management, we decided to take our business elsewhere. It's outside of the Heights, but we've since been very pleased with Oaks Cleaners off of Westheimer. They're expensive but well worth peace of mind for doing business with integrity and transparency. read more

This place is fabulous! I brought in this large (white!) sheepskin rug that my English Bulldog had decided was the best place in the house to chew his bones on. To say it was filthy is putting it mildly. Stains, slobber, crusty god knows what...you name it, it was on there. I got it back the next day - clean as can be! And the cost? $28.31. I was floored. Even though I generally do not require the services of a dry cleaning facility, I was unable to get an oil stain out of my khaki slacks. Clean-Smart not only was able to remove the stains, my pants looked brand new. It cost me about $6 to fix my pants and I was ecstatic. That being said, I picked up my pants a day later than their suggested pickup day simply because I wanted to make sure the job was done properly and I don't like to rush things so I can't comment on their timing. Originally I was very satisfied with the service since it was a quick turnaround and seemed like this business had good reviews.. The next day I decide to wear one of the pants I just got dry cleaned and I got two massive rashes on the sides of my lower legs.. Not sure why this happened since I am usually not allergic to anything and I have gotten these pants cleaned at other places.. When I approached the business regarding the issue - they were hesitant to give me a decision till they spoke to the owner. Finally, I met with the owner and he said that he did not understand why this had happened when all the products he uses are "eco friendly"- which is perfectly fine but that does not mean people won't have an allergic reaction to it. When I asked for some form of credit because overall I was willing to overlook my rashes (see picture) if they were willing to make me feel satisfied - offer some form of credit for next time since I did spend over $100 on my originally bill.. I was torn how I should rate this company. I went there for the first time to dry clean my boyfriend's work clothes and when I went to pick up my clothes 3 days later they told me that the shirt was damaged in the machine and there was a huge rip all the way down the side. However, the owner went out and purchased a new shirt from Brooks Brothers for us within 48 hours to replace the shirt that was damaged. I think this is wonderful customer service and I really appreciate their efforts. That being said, I would not bring one of my dresses or any item of clothing that cannot be replaced to this place for dry cleaning. read more

I have been a customer of River Oaks Dry Cleaning, but I have gotten fed up with how they consistently charge a different price (not to mention, the prices are ridiculous!). I spent an hour or so calling around to get pricing from other companies, and thankfully I called Clean Smart. After reading their reviews and hearing the prices, I decided to give them a try. I dropped off 5 pairs of work slacks - two that are also lined - and I was told it would be 3.89 a pair (totaling $22 after tax). When I went to pick it up, my total was indeed $22, while I would have been charged around $45 at River Oaks. Aside from the price, the other best thing is that I have 2 cats who shed...a LOT. And I swear that black slacks attract cat hair more than anything else, so my pants are typically covered. I got my pants back and to my surprise, they were hair free - absolutely amazing! When I get my pants back from River Oaks, they still have quite a bit of fuzz on them. Overall, awesome place! Looking forward to seeing how work shirts, etc. turn out from them! read more

Here's why I love this place... They're kind, quick, hard working, appropriately priced, and will go the extra mile to satisfy their customer. I've used this place a couple of times and been satisfied each time. This visit they earned their stars. I brought in an array of clothes most of which had the normal wear of the work week, but a few had their fair share of challenges. I had a dress that a previous cleaners put a few stains on from their press worried this was a lost cause. There were also a couple of items that had the misfortune of wearing my coffee. Let's be honest coffee loves my white clothes. We marked everything from grease to coffee stains. Hesitant to glance at the garments before leaving I take a peak. The dress that I thought was ruined from a different cleaners is now spot free and all but two items were stain free. My rocking white dress was still wearing coffee. They immediately pulled both items from the bag and dry cleaned them on the spot. Now I have a perfectly white dress ready for whatever the work week brings coffee included. This is a fantastic business. I recently had an issue with a linen shirt i dropped off as it was burned alittle from the hot presses that they use. I left it there to be redone and within a few days I recieved a call from the shop saying that it was ready and an apology about the initial job done. I gave this place a try after reading all of the great yelp reviews. I will have to say that was disappointed. As a general rule of thumb, all dry cleaners are pretty much the same and take the garments to same places to be dry cleaned. Thus the actual cleaning itself was fine, as always with most cleaners. My concerns were as follows: I had read several reviews stating that this place was very reasonably priced, this was not my experience. I took four items to the dry cleaners, three shirts and one blazer for a grand total of $16. That is an average of four dollars per piece which is very very pricey in my book. The cleaners was located somewhere with ample parking which was a plus, but it did tend to be a bit busy. One thing that I found useful is that they email you when your clothes are ready and are typically good about getting them done in a very timely manner. However the quality of the service was similar to places where I have paid at quarter of that price. I feel that overall you're paying for the location which is located right on Washington Avenue. Nothing spectacular and certainly not worth the price. read more

This is the best dry cleaners in Houston.. The owners are sweet and lovely and do amazing work.. I did a running job for Kanye west when he was in town. I brought all the stage costumes and some personal things. They went above and beyond on a Saturday. The costumes were all long white robes and came out immaculate.. The wardrobe person complimented on what a great job and those robes get dry cleaned at every city he performs.. They also personally delivered something to the venue I had forgotten to pick up.. They are very reasonably priced and I recommend them to everyone. I live on the west side and take my things to them. It is worth the peace of mind.. Try them once you won't be disappointed.. I love this place! It was my first time, there. Setting up was easy and the woman behind the counter was amazing. She was very friendly and explained everything up front to me from cost to turn around time. Their system is automated (uses a computer system to track clothes) unlike a lot in the area who still use carbon paper and make you hold on to paper to pick up your stuff. They ask for your phone number not you last name so if you have a difficult last name and don't want to spell it repeatedly this is a plus. read more

I've been a repeat customer of Clean Smart. Last week I brought in a blazer and skirt suit set. Over the weekend, they texted me asking if the jacket had a tear on the side, I said no. They repaired it for free. Just now I went to pick up the suit and the blazer is missing ALL 3 buttons. The girl went in the back and brought me some random buttons from their stash, but didn't have 3 matching ones. I asked her to comp the bill since I now have to go purchase buttons and have them put on. They made me pay for the skirt only. Poor customer service in my opinion. Will be going else where.
