Great dry cleaners. I called them on Friday at 10 am asking them if they could have my suit dry cleaned by the next day since I had a wedding to attend. They told me they would have it ready by 10 am the following day. Price is pretty decent as well. Got a suit jacket and pants dry cleaned for around 10 dollars. What more could you ask for in a dry cleaning place? They also have nice and friendly girls working at the front. It was raining, and they double bagged the suit for me so it wouldn't get wet. I gave it two stars because the owners are absolutely sweet! Which is the only reason I've tried this place several times The girls that work at the counter are very very discourteous. Also each time I've done wash and fold all of my whites have been shrunk. In addition the price is never the amount I end up paying in the end. I always end up paying more. And I never know how many days it will be before my clothes are ready. They even shrunk my favorite shirt :(. And they will not use fabric softener or bleach. I've tried them several times only because the day I talked to the owners they were so sorry and so kind but unfortunately that's not enough to make up for the problems I've had with my laundry so sadly I'm going to have to find another wash and fold service :( read more

I was surprised by seeing only 5 star reviews for clean smart, I usually look for the bad ones to get a feel for a dry cleaning place, and after going there for the first time two days ago, I can definitely say I see why all the reviews are positive! It's right on my way to work, right between shepherd and Durham, so convenience is 5 stars. As far as price, I'm not sure about normal dry cleaning, but I dry cleaned a duvet cover and duvet insert for just over $30!! The place I used to go to for all dry cleaning in the heights charged me $100 last time! The two pieces came back completely cleaned, all (pet) stains removed, and they even bagged it in a nice large bag with a handle on it, Similar to what you'd buy duvets in from BBB. The staff was nice, front office was clean, and it was honestly the best experience I've had in a dry cleaner, which unfortunately isn't saying much. I think they also have free coffee in the mornings. They actually make an account for you, so when you call and give them your phone number they quickly track your order and check if it's ready. Been using another dry cleaners for about 2 years and besides prices being a little high have had nothing but issues. Honestly, I stayed with previous cleaners simply because they were conveniently located closest to where I live. After 1 too many inexcusable issues, I jumped on yelp to see if there were any others near the Washington Corridor that had good reviews. Definitely not enough reviews done for Clean Smart, but still a good score. Took in my dry cleaning for the first time and was amazed at the personal, attentive service vs. the dry, impersonal/indifferent attitude of my previous cleaners. When I came back to pick up my stuff (earlier than they told me too, shame on me) it was ready! That NEVER happened at my old cleaners. The owner even took me back and showed me all their equipment, which is all brand-new and the best available (yes, I did a little research, again, shame on me). Very, very strong service-first attitude and with everything on site, they'll most likely not lose any of my stuff like the last cleaners did. Oh, and the way they press clothes looks like I won't have any of the constantly-smashed-button issues I had with my previous cleaners. If you bring in your clothes between 7am and 9am, they'll also have ready for you the same day after 5pm...no extra costs, you just have to request it...that simple. Here's the kicker...like you needed one...It's all about 40% cheaper than my previous cleaners! Question is, why didn't I switch sooner? Laziness is my only excuse ;-) read more

I liked this place until this morning... I went to pick up my dry cleaning and had dropped off a bathing suit top to be altered. The woman at the counter asked if I had wanted the top dry cleaned too when she handed it to me. I said no. She said OK that's what I thought, rang me up for everything, asked if I wanted the receipt, I said no, paid, and left. She then proceeds to call my boyfriend, whose number is on the account, tells him a "girl came in and left without paying for a bathing suit top alteration, we're going to have to charge your card on file since she didn't pay". As if i just came in LIKE A BAT OUT OF HELL and promptly left only after stealing the top right out of her victimized hands. I called and said I'm sorry she forgot to charge me but it wasn't my problem, and she had no business calling and saying I "left without paying". When I told her we wont be coming back, she said "that's fine". There's a dry cleaner on every corner, so it really is fine. read more

Seriously - this place is awesome. The people are very friendly and knowledgeable. I've used them a few times now, but the real reason for my great review is my white blazer with a water stain. I had taken the jacket to two other cleaners that were unable to make a difference. The gentleman at Clean Smart spotted the stain right away and let me know that it would be tough to get out, but he said he'd try his best. I returned later that day after receiving an email that my garments were done. The stain was almost invisible, but I could still tell. I asked him to try one more time in hopes that the last little bit would fade away. The next day, I returned to pick up my garments and found a jacket that looked virtually brand new! These guys are exceptional. I called around 10 a.m. to see if I could get 2 suits and shirts cleaned same day for an interview I had the following day. They said they could, and sure enough when I showed up at 5 p.m. they were ready for me. The suits and shirts looked great and the total bill came out to be less than $30 for 2 jackets, 2 pairs of pants, and 2 shirts. The owner was great too - my car battery had died after I dropped my garments off and he came out to help me jump my car when he saw me getting my cables out. I switched to Clean Smart because the previous dry cleaner kept smashing and breaking the buttons on my cuffs. I should have switched sooner. Clean Smart is high quality, uses new equipment, great service, inexpensive and quick! And they email me when my clothes are ready ("Smart"), usually within 24 hours. Btw Clean Smart has at no charge fixed/replaced the buttons that my old dry cleaner smashed. read more

High prices for below average quality. When first dropping off, this place is pretty busy but I don't mind waiting. I dropped off 3 pairs of slacks, left them there for about a week due to being busy. When I picked them up, again with about a 10 min wait, I was happily charged $15- a bit steep for 3 items. I brought the pants home and upon further inspection, I noticed that none of the pants had the little paper tag denoting that it'd been cleaned. The pants appeared to have been only (poorly) pressed and hung back up without any real cleaning. They were covered in dust. I continue my quest for a decent dry cleaners. read more

These guys have done a great job cleaning clothes for me. They call when complete &/or send email to phone to remind you as well. Cleaned and pressed a suit for me on short notice. Also held up closing to pick up said suit because I got caught in traffic. Prices are quite reasonable as well. My previous cleaner had misplaced some of my items a couple times, and their prices kept increasing. So when I needed a morning dropoff for a rush job, they did great and I haven't gone back to the old place. read more

I have been coming to this convenient drycleaners for a while, and I have been very pleased with the service. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I have never had a complaint with how my clothes turned out. When you drop something off it is always ready by 3PM the next day. They even text you when things are ready, and sometimes things are ready early. I have always been very pleased with how my garments came back to me. The prices are reasonable, and while the parking lot is a busy one there is always ample parking. The even have free coffee if you are so inclined. read more

The worst. I don't know how they can have good reviews. They have broken my clothes for three times in a roll. One with entire fabric tore down, and they were questioning me if I treated my clothes gentlely. There was a person called Malixia, who treated customer like garbage. If you ask one more question, she will stare at you with monstrous eyes and look like she's gonna eat you up. She replied any question with extremely defensive and condescending tone. I brought in my nicole miller wedding dress for dry cleaning and minor sewing (some of the seams were coming apart). It only cost me like $11 or $12 doll hairs ;) Super inexpensive and they did a pristine job Whaat What?!! I docked a star bc they told me it would probably take about a week but they would call and let me know when it was done. It's tough to find a trustworthy dry cleaner but Clean Smart exceeded my expectations. I had taken my wedding dress to a different dry cleaners and it came back with a giant blue stain (obviously detergent). Long story short, they refused to refund me and wanted to make me pay AGAIN to get rid of the stain which they couldn't guarantee they could fix. Decided to try my luck at Clean Smart and so glad i did. They charged me literally a quarter of the price the previous dry cleaners did. The guy checking me in was so friendly when i explained the situation and even tested out their detergent on a small piece of the dress to be sure they could identify what was causing the stain. Got my wedding dress back a few days later and it looked perfect, including the removal of some other stains which the previous cleaners did not remove. Clean Smart delivers perfectly pressed shirts, sometimes on the same day! They've never taken longer than next day to have my clothes ready. I was paying twice as much at another cleaners and was always dissatisfied when I got my shirts back with creases and wrinkles all over. As a supporter of small businesses, I have tried many mom-and-pop cleaners throughout Houston, before finally giving up and trying this national chain. I must say, I couldn't be happier! Despite it's super convenient location and high number of patrons, I almost never have to wait to drop off or pick up any items. Upon request, they will take special care of cuffs and collars on white dress shirts, press creases wherever needed (including military uniforms), and pay special attention to removing prior stitch marks after alterations or removing patches, etc. Secondly, their prices are unbeatable in this neighborhood! While this may hurt the profit margin of the small businesses, as a consumer I believe in competitive pricing. And boy, are they competitive! I had 2 business suits and 5 dress shirts cleaned for under $20. And on top of that, their standard turnaround is only 2 days. Other cleaners would charge an additional fee for such a quick turnaround. Lastly, the staff is always friendly and attentive to my requests. It also doesn't hurt that they have several bowls full of my favorite candies on the counters. I will certainly be a repeat customer. read more
