I cannot talk enough about how great Clean Slate Pest Control is! We noticed a weird smell in our house and couldn't figure out what it was. After being gone for two days, when we returned the house smelled HORRIBLE, osmething clearly died under the house. I called these guys at like 10 pm in a complete panic about what to do. They were so calm and assured me they would come out the next day. The DID come out the next day and immediately removed the dead animal. ALSO, they sanitized and deodorized the whole area. The price for this service was super reasonable and the whole process was FAST! We did decide to accept additional services they offer - such as sealing up the house (literally the WHOLE house, not just under the house they also did the attic and showed me pictures of the work they did in the attic), and coming weekly to ensure there are no critters in the traps they set. Even though these additional services were more costly, they did such a great and thorough job with the critter removal, and were so knowledgeable about their work, that we felt confident they would deliver on making the service worth it. HOWEVER, I have seen a lot of recent reviews indicating that the company doesn't honor the year-long warranty... so I hope that's not the case, but I guess time will tell. read more

Definitely professionals, they know what they're doing. During the colder days that 2024 brought us and recent remodeling, I had some unwelcome visitors. There were a few signs, but I thought it was my pup causing some issues. It wasn't until my pup stared profusely at a corner of the kitchen cabinet that I realized there was a mouse living with us. Luckily, Clean Slate came over and gave me a quick estimate and started by covering entry ways around the house, mainly crawl space screens and pipe openings. There's a one year warranty with an extension, which is great since It took a few tries to get the tiny mice out of the crawl space. No poison! Just traps with 3 mice. I was originally happy with my rodent proofing and attic clean out. Then the weather got cold and I noticed my newborn sons room and our bedroom were no longer getting heat. I had an A/C Technician come out who diagnosed the problem as a smashed duct, likely one of the workers who cleaned out the attic knelt on it during the job. I've been trying to resolve this with Clean Slate for several weeks. They finally had a technician come out last Friday who said rats damaged the duct when they cleaned out the attic. To be fair there are a couple bite marks on some of the ducts but it would have had to have been a gigantic rat to smash this duct to this degree (picture attached). Clean Slate came back to see why they were back. They did some patch work but this hasn't stopped the pests. We paid them twice to rid of of rodents and they keep getting in. I called to schedule visits in order to see what can be done, but Joey ignores my calls or makes an appointment and doesn't show up. We have lost time from work to be home a meet the exterminator, and they never show up. They started off good and ended horribly. I hate to leave a negative review because I know this is someone's business. Yet, I don't have money to waste so I feel a responsibility to other customers. This company responded quickly, but I didn't feel comfortable with the quote I received. I told the inspector that I'd like to get more quotes before making a decision. Instead of respecting what I said, he started setting down traps which made me feel obligated. I felt that he preyed on my fear of rodents and tried to use that to push me into an amount 4 times more than any other company that came out. The second problem is that the inspector said that he found rodent droppings in an inaccessible part of my house, but two other inspectors from two separate companies said they found no droppings in that same area. Had I just taken his word, I never would have know that he wasn't being truthful. Be careful! After reading the above review, Clean Slate Pest Control contacted me immediately. This company is a sham!! Do not hire them for any animal issues you are having. I called and my mother called for a quote and received two different prices. The "owner" claimed to have mistaken his quote. We hired them to do the work, which was a mistake on our part. They told us they would drop off the cage between 4PM-6PM and they didn't arrive until 8:00PM. No call, no apology, nothing. Their cage was defective which we kept having to adjust on our own and they left very little food in the cage to attract an animal and did not leave any extra food just in case we caught the wrong animal and had to release it. You think for $300 they would have at least left an extra baggy of food. Finally we caught the skunk and we called the company first thing in the morning to come pick it up. They said they would come right over and it took them over 8 hours to come pick up the skunk from my yard. The owner told us our price included the cage to be left for the second round to catch the last animal digging up our yard. Well, it DID NOT, he "misquoted" again and we were charged a pickup fee, which we paid and the company never showed up to retrieve the second animal. We were told they would be at the house between 4:00PM-6:00PM. I called multiple times and the answering center said all technicians get off work between 5-6PM. Horrible customer service. They are beyond dishonest and never show up when they are supposed to. Negative 5 stars for this worthless company. read more
