Re-installed windows and sliding glass door incorrectly installed by previous contractor. Rebuilt pressure treated wood deck with improved layout. While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. The crew was friendly and courteous, but unfortunately, the quality of the cleanup was disappointing, both in removing debris around the house and in disposing of leaves collected from the gutters. One plastic bag of debris was left in a corner of my garden, and another was placed in my yard-waste bin, which I had to remove myself because Evanston does not accept yard waste in plastic bags.
