I chose Guaranteed Gutters because of its excellent reviews; I was willing to pay a premium for what I expected would be outstanding service. The crew was friendly and courteous, but that was the only positive aspect of the experience. Unfortunately, the quality of the cleanup was disappointing, both in removing debris from around the house and in disposing of the leaves removed from the gutters. One plastic bag of debris was left in a corner of my garden, and another was placed in my yard waste bin, which I had to remove myself. Before the work began, I specifically told both Tim and the crew that Evanston does not accept yard waste in plastic bags and mentioned that I had experienced the same problem with a previous company. In addition, none of my garden hoses were used to flush the gutters after they were cleaned, which left me questioning how thoroughly the job had been completed. After I contacted Tim to express my concerns, he offered a 9% discount. While I appreciated the gesture, it did not address the underlying problems with the cleanup. Given the inadequate cleanup, the overall experience fell well short of the company's reputation and my expectations. read more

We had 3 companies come out and provide quotes for installing gutters on our garage and downspout extension. Guaranteed Gutters was the only company that actually took their time and surveyed the property. They climbed on the roof to inspect, properly measured, even found a couple of small holes. The downspout was actually damaged from an ice jam. Some of these are things the other companies never would have caught because they were gone after 5 minutes. We have had Guaranteed Gutters clean our gutters 4 times. In December we switched insurance companies and their inspector claimed something was wrong with our roof despite the home inspection when we bought the house 3 years ago said our roof was perfect and good for 25 years most likely. I asked Tim the project manager to go take a look and if something was wrong of course we would want to fix it. He confirmed the roof was fine. He spoke to the insurance company himself, sent pictures and a letter confirming the roof is in good shape. After receiving three quotes from different gutter companies, I chose to contract guaranteed gutters due to their's being the lowest quote. I hired them to install gutters, leaf guards, to dig a trench and add a pop-up emitter to a downspout location, and some minor roof repair work. They did a fantastic job, selecting materials that match my trim perfectly. Tim, the leader of the project, exhibited great communication and completed the job within a week of me accepting the invoice. Shortly after the gutters were installed, there was a major rain storm here, and I noticed some minor leaks near a couple of the downspout elbow joints. We have tried 4 other companies and this one is the winner! They cleaned the gutters on our six buildings in Evanston by hand and removed the debris in garbage bags.
