I called Clean Critters because my dog was overdue for some TLC from a groomer. I've been scared to take Foxy mama(my dog) to a groomer because of the stories I've heard. When I called I was able to get a same day appointment and had Foxy mama back within a few hours with her nails clipped how I like them and she smelled great! Thank you Clean Critters for the excellent services you provided. We will definitely return. read more

I'm so disappointed with the customer service and the job they did on our 10 month old husky, first of all make sure you ask how much each thing cost because they secretly add on charges for things. When I dropped him off in the morning I expressed to them that I wasn't sure if deshedding cut hair or not, because I don't want my huskies hair cut in anyway especially because he's still a puppy. They reassured me that deshedding doesn't cut any hair and not to worry. Trusting them I said okay and left. When we picked him up, first of all they told me it was $75, when I got there it was $97 because deshedding is an extra charge which I was never told. Second my dogs hair was gone, they can tell me deshedding doesn't cut hair but his hair is literally gone and looks buzzed. When I called to ask about this the girl on the phone was nothing but rude and unaccommodating, completely unsympathetic about how i felt and just kept repeating "yeah I was there this morning and you asked us if deshedding cuts hair and we told you no" like no shit but if you see your paying customer (ended up paying $110 with tip) is unhappy and distressed at least be understanding and not a rude brat. Will never come here again. Do not recommend. read more

I've been bringing my pup in since about March for dog grooming. He gets the regular bath with nail trim etc and I also have them brush his teeth. My pup did not do well with nail trims until I brought him here. Now they trim his nails with no problem! The people here are great. Always friendly and prompt. I highly recommend if you're looking for dog grooming! read more

Kevin did a great job with my 6 month old Goldendoodle Preston. This was his first time being groomed and I very pleased with the outcome. I highly recommend clean critters! read more

Clean Critters - 6 month old Preston just had his first puppy cut! Thanks Kevin! - Pet Groomers Near Me - Austin, Texas

Kevin and Amy are truly wonderful groomers! I have one very old dog that needed grooming but she was afraid of the dryer. Amy worked with her and took the time to use a hand held blow dryer and go very slow to set my pup at ease. Kevin and Amy have an eye for style and take their time to make my fur babies look great! I love supporting a local Austin business and especially to very kind people that genuinely enjoy their work. They are conveniently located on Cesar Chavez. I am usually able to get my pups in to visit the same week and they are reasonably priced. I drop them off on the way to work and they are ready by lunch time. It is so refreshing to know my pups are in such caring and capable hands. I have never been so happy with a groomers. read more

These guys are great. They are always accommodating when I walk in whatever day of the week. I am terrible about scheduling appointments, but they are always happy to see my bed hog dog log Sweet Face. She is extremely nervous and is what some would call a talker. No matter how loud or rambunctious she is, their approach is gentle and kind. Did I mention they do a great job scrubbing her and clipping her nails? From the smell of the shampoo & conditioner to the close shave of the hair between her paws to the little bandana they fit her with, I think they might just love my dog as much as I do. read more

My pup just got a bath at clean critters and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Great location for me, easy parking, friendly staff, and appropriately priced. They even pointed out a few scratches on my dogs tummy that I hadn't noticed, and they put a little bandana on him. They didn't charge extra for grinding his nails instead of clipping them which I really appreciate, and they got him in an out super quick! Will definitely be visiting again the next time my critter isn't so clean :-) read more

Just picked up my dog from her first visit to Clean Critters and it was a great experience. It is obvious from meeting Aimee and Kevin that they care dearly for each pet and treat them as their own. We dropped off our little dog in need of some loving and picked up a little princess. Couldn't be more satisfied and would recommend to all. read more

Clean Critters - looking fresh - Pet Groomers Near Me - Austin, Texas

I'm so glad to have found a groomer that I love, plus the added bonus that it's in my neighborhood! The owners are super nice and talked me through how my dog would be groomed. I called a few days ahead of my desired appt date (Saturday). My dog is a collie/aussie mix and is super hairy. Since she sheds A LOT, I requested the de-shed treatment on top of a full groom service (bath + cut). When I picked her up, her hair was super soft/silky. I seriously don't think she has ever felt so soft! And I didn't realize how much hair needed to be brushed out!! The de-shed treatment was definitely worth it. The shampoo they use smells really nice like a natural oatmeal/vanilla smell. And they gave her a cute pink bandana. They told me how well she did during the grooming appointment, which I'm always glad to hear feedback. The pricing is comparable to other grooming places I've taken her to before, but I felt like the quality/care was better. read more

I am new to Austin and called Clean Critters and they got us in the next day. Everyone was beyond helpful and nice and I felt really good about leaving my fur baby with them. A short 3 hours later she was ready to be picked up. I only am giving 4 stars because even for a dog in desperate need of trimming I thought $80 was a bit high for 3 lb dog. She was basically shaved so there wasn't much to "groom" but they did a fantastic job and I will be back and hopefully it won't set me back $100 with the tip next time. read more

We left our 4 month old yellow lab Gus at Clean Critters this past weekend and we were very pleased! We could tell that he had lots of fun playing and being active with the other dogs, and that he received plenty of attention and love with Kevin and the gang. It was our first time to leave Gus overnight somewhere, and the team here did a great job! Will definitely be back! read more

Hands down the best groom my goldendoodle has ever had (I believe Elise did our groom). The owners are on site and very involved with your pup's care. Perfect example of why small business is so important in our community. Worth every penny! read more

I had an interesting experience with another location.. where I wasn't too happy...The process here was great! My pups looked much happier and you can peak over to look at the groomers who are working...so that gave me a sense of ease (the other place was a typical closed door groomer). They were prompt with communicating and I will definitely head back! read more

Have been taking our Labradoodle to Clean Critters for a long time. They are the absolute best. The groomers are friendly and genuinely care about your pet-baby. They are always eager to make sure that you are fully satisfied. It's also been exciting to watch Aimee and Kevin grow their business. Can't say enough great things about them and their staff. read more

We adopted a dog from APA. He had long hair and it was matted, tangled and just all around unkept. You could tell he was not taken care of at all. A coworker recommended this place to me and said he use to take his dog to Petsmart until they dropped his dog off the table and broke his leg. Clean Critters is professional, caring, friendly and I would recommend it to anyone. Elise cut our dogs hair and she took such great care of him and went out of her way with a caring friendly attitude. Elise walked us through what she could do and pricing from the start. Such an awesome family run establishment. It's small businesses like this that make me love Austin. read more

Clean critters has the most friendly staff I have ever encountered! Brought my dog Caroline in for a bath and she can usually be very difficult to handle but they made her so comfortable the whole time. I absolutely recommend this place to everyone! read more

Professional, and friendly staff with a genuine love for dogs. Great atmosphere and location. Not just an amazing groomer but also a great boarding facility as well. I will only leave my family members with people I trust. And I definitely trust Clean Critters! read more

I recently moved southeast from North Central Austin and Yelp helped me find Clean Critters. I cannot say enough about how great they are. My Yorkshire Terrier was attacked by a big dog last summer and basically had his throat destroyed, so he cannot have a neck collar anymore, just a harness. Kevin assured me they had harness style grooming equipment. The crew all seem to be very attentive to specific needs by the dogs and requests by the parents (like grinding nails instead of clipping). My Bichon mix has an unruly 'do and I asked for advice on how to groom him so he didn't look like a poodle. They gave him a great new look! My little guys do not like going, but they always come out looking and smelling great. I love their small business and personal approach. We've been 3 times now. read more

My dog is sick and they gave him (and me) so much TLC and an expert cut. It may be his last haircut so I was a mess...very grateful to this place. read more

I usually groom my dogs at home, but one had a smelly butt situation requiring professional care. The whole experience was very easy and professional, and the owner made my nervous dogs feel comfortable right away. The prices wet reasonable and we had the de-grooming treatment thrown. OMG, I don't know what magic they did on them, but owning two German Shepherd mixes requires bi-weekly vacuuming of our home. My dogs have never shed so little and I must say I'm impressed!!! read more

I will always bring my pup to clean critters! They were able to fit me in the same week that I called. My pup wasn't conditioned to come to the groomer at a young age; the staff at CC was patient and got the job done! I appreciate all that is included in the standard wash: nail trim and filing, shampoo and clip, ears, sanitary cut, glad expression and bows (or bandana). For a bit extra they will brush teeth as well. There may also be an additional fee for especially unruly dogs but any applicable fees seem to be addressed upfront. read more

They do an excellent job, great customer service. My dog is always terrified, but they treat her well. Thank you! Will be returning!

These folks are simply fantastic. Our golden doodle looks great. We make the drive from north Austin and have for several years. Keep up the excellent work, see you soon! read more

Kind lady and reasonable price My princess looks fantastic

AMAZING!! Our two morkie pups have a lot of anxiety and can be aggressive with new people so we've always been super hesitant to take them to be groomed. Kevin and Aimee have such good vibes that our normally yappy, squirmy pups were totally calm. When we picked them up they were happy and clean and wearing the cutest little bandanas! 5 STARS! SO happy to have found this spot! read more

My poodle-mix rescue-dog, Claude, loves these guys almost as much as I do. It is rare to experience the kind of genuine warmth that Kevin and Aimee exude in today's customer service industry. They are astoundingly knowledgable with regards to dog hair and its needs and give carefully detailed explanations, without prompting, about the grooming options and pricing. If I had any friends in Austin with dogs that also needed grooming, I would tell them to look no further. read more

There are not enough stars to give this place. I only trust them to take care of my dogs. I have been going to Kevin for almost 8 years and will not go to another groomer. When Aimee started working with Kevin my dog took to her as well and I have been spreading the word ever since. AG read more

I recently took my dog to Clean Critters for the first time and it was such a fantastic experience! I've been to a handful of groomers in Austin and it has been hit or miss every time, even after multiple visits to the same place. Clean Critters was a totally different experience from the start. I felt like they were way more interested in my dog than many of the bigger and chain groomers around town. They were also very attentive and kept me in the loop through the whole process. You'd think my dog (terrier mystery with wirey hair) would be pretty easy to groom, but Fiona has had some crazy haircuts! Not with Clean Critters, though. She looks awesome and smells amazing! She had an early morning appointment, and even at 8:30 am the Clean Critters team was so friendly and happy to meet Fiona. Highly recommend them! read more

I've been taking my Frenchie, Bruce, here for baths for over a year now and I've been so pleased with everything about the staff & service. He doesn't get shaved since he's a short haired breed, but his nails always looks great and I can tell that his booty glands are expressed well. Kevin has always been a pleasure to interact with, they always let me know when to expect that he'll be ready for pickup, and Bruce always seems perfectly happy to go there and is totally chill when I pick him up. For us, it's a great value for the price. Highly recommend! read more

This place is great! Fast, friendly, and professional... I am very impressed. I brought my giant senior mastiff Matilda in and she is looking fantastic, and was ready in less than an hour. After I wash her at the house there is just so much hair that washes out as well as comes out during the drying process that it is hard not to have tons of dog hair on everything in the house... after her wash at Clean Critters she was completely dry with all loose hair gone and her coat looking the best it has in a long time. She also had her huge nails trimmed and there aren't any sharp or rough spots. Again... just an excellent overall experience! read more

The team was great with my short haired dachshund. The prices were great, and my dog wasn't shaking like he normally does when I pick him up. He has terrible anxiety at any groomers. read more

Can't say enough about how awesome Aimee and Kevin are! This sweet couple own this business and have years of experience of dog grooming. Along with their experience comes an undeniable love for our fur babies and I don't trust anyone else to take care of mine! I have senior dogs, usually with arthritic/medical issues, and they take such great care of them. I don't have to worry about them getting hurt during the grooming process... Aimee and Kevin treat each and every dog as if it is their own. In addition, these two are very giving with their services; they help homeless pets get adopted by offering free grooming to shelter dogs. Such incredible people! Wouldn't consider going anywhere else... ever!!! read more
