We were traumatized by our experience with Loving Pet Care. Our goldendoodle is our fur child, and…read morewe absolutely adore him. I told the owner that our dog had separation anxiety and could only be left for 2 to 3 hours at a time. She assured me this would be fine, and assigned a dog sitter Scott who worked from home. 3 days into our trip, we got a text that our dog was injured (self-inflicted hotspots from anxiety). I immediately asked Scott how long he had left him, and he said just a few hours. This did not add up at all for us, so my husband checked the outdoor security cameras and Scott was gone eight full hours! He outright lied to us. Since our trust had been broken, I had a family member come pick our dog up and take him to the vet. The vet called and said the staff was literally crying - they said they had never seen wounds this bad from anxiety. He had licked himself raw in so many places, it was horrific. We had to come home immediately, and forfeit our entire vacation. We have gone on vacation many other times before with sitters who did what they said they would do, and he was absolutely fine. I took months to write this review because I was too upset to deal with it. Insurance did cover lost expenses after a lengthy process, but our dog is still healing months later. I hate writing bad reviews, but we would never use this company again or recommend them to anyone.

My family and I have been consistently using Hound for Hound's services 3-5 times a week for the past year, and I must say, Matt has been nothing short of phenomenal. Living in East Austin, we've seen our fair share of unpredictable weather, but Matt's commitment never wavers. Rain or shine, cold or hot - he's there, ensuring our beloved Buca gets his much-needed walks and care. What truly sets Matt apart is his reliability and honesty. He's not just a dog walker; he's become a part of our extended family. This was especially evident during our month-long trip out of the country. Austin faced some serious freeze days, and it was over the Christmas holidays, yet Matt was there, braving the elements to make sure Buca was well looked after. He didn't just walk Buca; he provided him with the love and attention he missed from us. He would would share GPS tracking and pics of Buca daily and to the extent of taking off his gloves in the freeze to snap videos while he was walking him to share with us Hiring Matt from Hound for Hound is a decision you won't regret. He's a true professional who goes above and beyond, not just in his duties, but in his genuine care for the pets he looks after. We are eternally grateful for his services and cannot recommend him enough. If you're seeking someone who will treat your pet with the same love and care as you do, look no further than Matt and Hound for Hound. Thank you Matt, Buca & Conway Family

I have owed these guys a review for awhile now. I have been using them for in-home pet-care visits…read morewhile I'm out of town for probably a couple of years. It's far and away the best choice for me: way, way cheaper than boarding, and easier on my little buddy, too, since he gets to stay in a familiar environment. Now, I only have one easy-peasy kittycat with no health issues or complicated routines - but *I* am sort of high-maintenance, in that I tend to be super disorganized and down-to-the-wire when planning my travel. They are not kidding when they say they guarantee availability for repeat clients. They have always been super responsive, kind, and reassuring in communications when I am feeling frazzled and worried about securing care at the last minute, and always ready to come in to save the day! Bella (Isabella) is not the owner but she runs the show day-to-day, I believe, and she is awesome, friendly, capable, and great at responding to messages. Depending on who does the actual service, I sometimes get photos and text updates and sometimes don't, but it has always gone well. Everyone seems trustworthy and like they are genuine animal-lovers. The only slight downside is that in the past they have seemed a little disorganized with invoicing/billing (repeat bills or not getting one at all) but now they have a new system that works very well. It also allows tips, which I appreciate, since I don't usually have cash on hand to leave as a tip. (Note for people new to pet-sitting services: you should leave a tip! I had to learn this.) Anyway as a single person, new to the area, and without a lot of people I feel comfortable asking to do favors for me, it is a great comfort to have this affordable service to rely on. I think I first chose Fur because they were willing to help me over a holiday, when other places said they wouldn't be able to accommodate a new client, and because of a Yelp offer. And I stuck around after using that coupon!

It is difficult to find a doggy boarding/day care that provides such well rounded, holistic approach to pet care. We have used Walk ATX for boarding, day camp with pick up and drop off included, and for in home check ins with walks. As well as their add-ons like baths and fun photoshoots. Mo is a party animal - we are constantly training, working with him and we fill all of his needs. Yet he is an energetic, happy 2.5yo rescue from Austin Pets Alive. He is a foster win actually. He's always soooo excited when he realizes he's about to get dropped off at Walk ATX and he's welcomed with big smiles and a huge "Hi Mo!!!!!" by the passionate and hard working staff. Walk ATX does pack walks, outdoor playtime in their yard with staff assigned to different groups of dogs. I love that there's constant supervision and a structured day. Including rest/down time, which is just as important as to not overstimulate the doggos. It seems as if Walk ATX has only gotten better over the years. They've incorporated training, special add-ons, and cool adventures. Last time Mo stayed with them while we were in Costa Rica, Britton and the team were super attentive (Mo was on limited activity for the first few days per our vet), and even called to give an update, in addition to their daily updates via email and on their app "Time to Pet". I know Mo is cared for and looked after by a group of caring animal lovers.

This review is only based off of my experience/ first impressions and this business may work amazingly for your dog! Once I found Walk ATX it took me a while to get in contact with someone, called a couple times, left a voicemail, sent a couple emails -to no avail! Sent a dm on insta as a last resort and finally got in contact with someone! Yay! Erika helped me set up my account and went over daycare. Dropped my pup off for his first day! First impressions matter to me and as someone who is nervous I would have loved to see them greet my dog. Instead the woman at the front ( not sure her name - mullet - immediately went into a quick " take off the leash. What's his name? You'll get an update at 11" And then I watched her usher him straight to the backyard. No saying hi to the dog, no convo with me, no easing his nerves, no questions about him, no petting him, no introductions, nothing. I didn't love that, especially since it was our first time and it made me much more nervous to drop him off there. Around 11:00 I started to look for updates, none. Tried to call 3 times, no answer. Again this is his first day so not hearing anything on how he was doing and getting no photos - nerves then rose to an all time high. People are allowed to have bad days so will update this after a few more times. Just know the first day is not as informative or warm may not be as warm as you'd expect.

I don't board my dog and never will but I like the idea of him having a place to play and get some energy out. With that said, he doesn't do well with other dogs, or humans for that matter.
