Honestly it doesn't matter if you get the mom or daughters, each one is a perfectionist and gives you their full dedication to your comfort and happiness. 3 weeks later my gel manicure is holding up with not a single chip on my left hand and a small one on my right- on a nail that I use every single day doing my job. Pedis are always so relaxing and take a while. The family is so sweet too. I don't ever feel like they're overwhelmed or frustrated. It's also not bad on price. My boyfriend and I were visiting Monterey for my birthday and arrived before we could check in to our hotel. The ladies at classy nails were very friendly and saw us on short notice for two pedicures. The chairs are very nice massage chairs and the atmosphere is bright and clean. The ladies all wore gloves and the tubs were lined as well. I got the 2nd pedicure option which included a lavender scrub and green tea mask, which was very reasonably priced. There was also no pressure to choose a more expensive option which was a nice change from some salons I've been to. My nail technician spent a long time scrubbing, massaging, and in general had a wonderful attention to detail. My nails turned out beautifully. Another 5-star review here! I was in town with two days to kill and having already been to Monterey several times so I came here for a relaxing pedicure. I splurged for the Luxury Pedicure which includes a lavender scrub, clay mask, and paraffin wax treatment and it was money well spent. I had such a good experience that I had to write this review while waiting for my toes to finish drying. This isn't the cheapest salon but worth the price if you're looking to pamper yourself. Very nice and clean with a good selection of colors. They don't use acrylic, they use a hard gel. Feels similar to regular gel, so I hope it lasts as long as acrylic nails do. A fill is $30 which I think is pricey compared to the $18 I usually pay. The gel looks great and much more natural. Happy I stopped by. read more

This has become my go-to nail place since moving to Monterey in July 2018. I get a gel manicure every other week. It is a smaller, family-owned establishment. Bu normally does my nails but sometimes Nina does, too. Everyone here is exceptionally detail-oriented and responsive. After my third or so visit, they remembered me by name and remember other little details about my preferences as well. They genuinely care about customer satisfaction. The salon is also very clean. I love classy nails!! I've been in the area about a year now and have been trying to find a good place to get my nails done that will last! The few places I've been to have been fine, but haven't lasted more than a week, or a week and a half AT BEST! I am so pleased to say I finally found a nail salon that is clean, sanitary, and my shellack nails last over two weeks every time! I also really love that they do not use the strong chemicals that are found in most nail salons! Everyone that works there is nice, and very accommodating! Their prices are a bit steep for me. Usually I pay 25 maximum for shellack, at Classy nails it costs 30. However the fact that I don't have to come in the next week to get them redone, makes it worth it to me! read more

I have many nail salons near where I live, that I used to go to... Thankful for my friend Melissa who recommended this place to me because I will make the drive for the outstanding work they do with my nails, cuticles and overall mani/pedi. I am a painter, and in all the time I have gotten my nails painted (always get gel with a solid color) I have never seen such precision, smooth and seamless gel job... Until I came here. Disappointment! I rarely do reviews, but this place deserves some of my time to save some one from not only ridiculously priced work but crappy at that! I called to set up an appointment for yesterday morning with Nina for a full set after reading many reviews saying how "AMAZING" she is, this is the worst job I've ever received I told her one of the nails she put on was lifted and she said "don't worry about it, I'll fix it" well I've attached pictures of how she "fixed it" and then told her my index finger nail was crooked she said it was my finger (this isn't my first time Nina, no one has ever had trouble with it). When I got my pedicure the man that was doing it cut my toe nails so short! I honestly have nothing good to say about this place, I can go on and on about my experience, but I've attached pictures which I hope speak for themselves. Girls don't do it there's many places doing a better job for reasonable prices, this place is cash only or checks and I walked out with $120 dollars of mad disappointment. I got a mani-pedi done with one of my friends and had an amazing experience!!! We came from out of town and found this place. They did paraffin wax on my hands and feet massaged my legs and did a really good job. They enviroment is very relaxing and they were all very professional. They are also super clean! Each foot tub is bagged and immediately cleaned when they are done. They also had warmed towels and neck pillow, hot stones as well if you wanted them. This place was amazing! The women who work here are so sweet and attentive. They did such a great job on my nails, and they repetitively asked me if I liked the color on my nails or not, which showed they cared and that they were willing to change it if I didn't like it. The prices are a bit more expensive compared to where I use to go, but totally worth it! The team at Classy Nails were extremely talented in their area of work. My younger sister and I went to both get manicures - often when my sister has her nails done the manicurist will rush and take no care for detail, this maybe because she is only 9 but no excuse for poor quality. This was not the case at Classy nails, the friendly woman who did my sisters nails took extreme care and precision when completeing her manicure. This salon is ok. When it newly opened, I liked it enough and had good service. Since then, their prices have jumped, they have not honored appointments as much as friends that just walk in, and they charge a lot extra for gel. They also let their young daughter work in the salon at the age of 10. I think there might be a better place. read more

The last few times I've called & made an appointment they've made me wait at least a half hour to get started because they accept walk ins even though they're booked up & don't have enough people working. I've never had to wait as a walk in. So if you go there beware that if you book an appointment they will not honor your scheduled time. read more
