My nails are impeccable every time and the polish lasts for over three weeks with no chipping. You won't find a more qualified groups of people! Bu does a great job with gel manis and pedis. I have never been charged to have gel polish removed to get a new and complete Gel manicure but in this place or is this normal here in Monterey?! To get a gel manicure removing the old polish THEY WILL charge and its not included in their gel mani Service -WHAT?! I paid $67 for gel mani and basic pedi while I pay $42 in San Ramon for the same service. Their Service was nothing Special but ridiculously priced to not include polish removal. Plus 3 people worked on me - I am not tipping 3 people and the tip just went to your expensive yet very regular Service. read more

Parking lot has maybe 6 spots and shares with Baskin Robbins and Plato's closet. The shop is nice. Nothing special. I paid $82 (without tip) for a plain gel mani and pedi and it took approximately 1.5 hrs with one person completing all services. This is on a Thursday mid afternoon before Memorial weekend. It wasn't busy and there wasn't a line. The pedicure wasn't anything special. It was your typical sugar scrub and the massage was more of just putting lotion on your legs. They were cordial and nice. We even had some good laughs over them putting my socks on upside down. They do have a great selection of neutral/nude nail polishes. The polish job on both my hands and nails were neat. They didn't paint my skin and the coats were smooth and even. They are CASH ONLY but the Cannery Row deli down on Drake and Cannery Row has an ATM machine. There is a 7-11 being built directly across the street. I'm sure there will be an ATM there as well. Update: My gel nail polish peeled off THREE days later. It lifted and started getting stuck in my hair and snagging on other things so I was able to peel the polish off four fingers like the old school Tinkerbell polish I got as a kid. Not cool. Everything was nice from the pedicure to manicure, I felt like they took their time to make sure everything was good. I love their attention to details and the facts that is lasts so long on your nails without any chipping! These people are awesome! I have plaque psoriasis on one foot (weird I know) and I'm used to getting a lot of weird looks. The gentlemen had no problem with my pedicure request. He was gentle as some of the nails are soft an a little tender. I got the parafin, too, because I'm always so dry. While that was being done an older lady started on my nails. Gel is a pain to get off but she had it down to a science! I wanted a french manicure for a formal occasion and it looked perfect!! They did my mani and pedi at the same time, so I saved a ton of time. The gentlemen even put some ointment on my foot and a few spots on my calf. I felt that was very special for me to have such care given some salons are "grossed out." The chairs alone are enough to lure me back. Also I liked having no TV. The music when I was in was classical piano and it was such a nice place to visit and relax instead of some salons where it is so loud and Jerry Springer is on TV. Neither of them spoke much except to make sure I was ok :-) So it was a great place to just get away from the world for an hour. I've been having a hard time finding a good nail salon here. This place opened up within the last year and I decided to give it a try. I've already had 5 manicures and 2 pedicures, brought multiple people in with me, and every time we have a flawless experience. Their prices may seem slightly on the high end to some (depending on where you are from), but this is one of the most affordable/highest value salons I've been to yet. A gel manicure (around $25 I think) lasts me 2+ weeks without a single chip. I only go get my nails redone because they get too long for my taste, otherwise they look flawless! I'm pretty rough on my hands and they stand up. Their staff is a family run feel and we always have the best time here, it's so relaxing, like a spa day. If you can spare the extra cash and time, definitely go for the high end pedicure with the wax treatment. Absolutely amazing. read more

I went to get my nails done here today. They did a fantastic job on the polish! I don't think i've ever had such a great manicure. And the price was reasonable as well $25 for gel. I had such a bad experience here that I feel compelled to share it. Every step of the way I felt rushed by the staff. I felt so physically uncomfortable and tense the entire time. Rushed to pick a color from the start. One woman doing my toes and another doing my hands at the same time. That would've been fine if it was comfortable. But nope.. the woman doing my hands had me reaching across my body, holding my hands up with nothing to support their weight. She also turned off my massage chair.. sigh.. probably because she wasn't using an actual surface to do my hands. The worst part is that both women filed my old nail gel down to the natural nail with e-files. This caused a lot of heat and discomfort. That isn't the correct way to remove gel as it damages the nails. You're supposed to file a thin layer and soak the gel off with acetone. Nope, this place cuts corners instead. I just wanted it to be over with so I stuck it out. To top it off, the woman doing my nails was rushing so much that when I got up to leave she flipped over my arm rest where my latte was. I had just bought it, barely had a chance to touch it.. and it ended up on the floor. She apologized but of course made no offer to compensate or anything. I was just so ready to leave by that point. They also told 3 girls they could do their nails as walk-ins right away and instead left them sitting around for 20 minutes before they just walked out. Seems like the place is run pretty poorly. Really enjoyed coming back to getting a pedicure, and my girls got their nails done. Appointments only at this time. They have movable barriers for PPE for pedicures and manicures. I would also mention the staff is wearing facial masks, but even before COVID-19, nail salons were already wearing them. Instead of the usual pick your color from a shelf, we were given a color wheel of the painted nails that you usually choose from when doing manicures. You tell them the number, they get it and voila.
