They hemmed up my bridesmaid dress which had 3 layers and also took in the bust. They did a great job. Charged me $90 which was about the same price I got quoted from different tailors, so although I think thats exoensive, apparently its the going rate. I will take all my alterations here from now on. Only complaint is that they said my dress would be ready at 3 and when I came to get it, they told me to give them another hr. Woulda been nice if they gave me a heads up. This place is way over priced. I would not recommend going here unless you want to pay $50 a piece for a simple alteration.

I called before I went to ask the price of getting my pants' length + waist altered, and they gave me a quote of around $20. I also called other places to check the pricing, and they were more or less the same, so I decided to go to Class Tailors since it had quite a few reviews. The lady who measured all the alterations was very nice, but then she told me that the total price was $40, because aside from the length and waist being altered, there was work to be done on the butt/crotch area as well. That was the price of my pants! I excused myself, went outside, called to inquire the price of the other store I'd been considering, and then took my pants to the other place. The price was $25 for the same work. If I weren't a college student, maybe I wouldn't mind spending $40 on getting my pants altered... but I am, and Class Tailors' prices just aren't for me. (Note: another lady who was also in there at the same time was paying for her pants, and I overheard the woman tell the customer that the pants actually had lining inside so it required extra work and therefore was more expensive. I have taken my clothes here for 10 years and this past year they lost a pair of slacks. When I spoke with the older woman she said I never brought the Theory ($475 mind you) slacks in for alterations, a few words away from outright calling me a liar. I had the ticket stub with 3 shirts and the slacks, yet she didn't even offer to look. I had to ask her a couple times to look and she finally said ok. Upon better judgement I took 3 more shirts and a pair of slacks in a month later. A younger guy was there and he said the previous ticket items were not listed in their book. No remedy for any sort of compensation was made and when I requested my next ticket be compensated in some way it was firmly rejected. I picked up my LAST AND FINAL work from this place I got home and discovered a pair of slacks with pleats didn't have a cuff when they were long enough for one. The rudeness after 10 years of my business, loss of items, now inadequate job on slacks is inexcusable. I strongly suggest you find another alterations place. read more

I had them take in some extra fabric on a Cache silk and velvet striped formal dress. It was heavy and complicated and they did it on time, looked great and fit like a glove. I don't get my clothes altered very much but the ones I do aren't cheap and i'm picky about who I take them to. I would definitely recommend them. read more

Good work however they quoted me $38 to shorten sleeves and pant legs. Ended up charging me $50.

I needed a bridesmaid dress altered quick because the other place I took it to did an insufficient job of altering it. Class tailors did a great job on my dress and had it done in a few days. I feel it was reasonably priced too. read more

I used to get all my alterations done here when I lived in Houston and never went anywhere else- now I fly in from New York City and have my alterations done while on vacation as I have not found a comparable service! I took my mother of the bride's dress to Class Tailors where I have been going for years. It was an incredibly difficult dress to work on ....the top almost had to be remade two layers taken in and taken up. The fabric was difficult to work on as well. The mother of the family who does the alteration was very careful to see how the dress was made and the best way to take it up. she spent a lot of time thinking and looking...pinning and repinning. Actually the fabric was so delicate she couldn't pin it she had to use large clips. They agreed to baste the dress so I could come in for a fitting and not to cut anything off until I knew it fit perfectly. I was so anxious the night before I went to try on my dress that I didn't sleep well as it's the only dress I found that I liked and believe me I looked at plenty!!! If I say it was perfect it would be an understatement. Not only did they put up with my anxiety but they altered my dress perfectly the very first time. They were all friendly, understanding and totally professional. After I tried it on I left the dress with them so that they could stitch it properly. Andy was thoughtful enough to call me and asked if I wanted the fabric cut. I said "good thinking" if I gain an ounce I won't be able to get into it and after the wedding I'm sure I will ( gain at least an ounce) so we decided not to cut the fabric so that if need be it can be let out in the future.
