I'm beginning to think all Advance Auto Parts stores are just terrible. Like terrible in the…read moremediocre sense and they come across as lazy and hate doing their jobs. I came in here with my brother looking for an air filter for mom's car. I figured I could take out the old one, which desperately needed replaced and put a new one in myself. So we picked one up here. Not a major thing. When we walked in here, there was an older heavy man sitting behind the counter. He didn't exactly greet us while we were here. My brother was the one to start the conversation. This older guy just sat behind the counter, arms crossed, looking bored and annoyed. He didn't look too thrilled that he needed to look up the part number to find the appropriate air filter. I know, we're horrible people for making an employee do their job. It's ridiculous that people come into a parts store and actually need parts that you have to find. It's just rude. This was seriously the attitude he had. We finally find the right one, and pay for it, so we could be on our way. Would I return here? No, Kenect's is right down the street, just a few blocks from here. I'd recommend going there instead. Nothing this employee did was really horrible, but he came across as anti-social, grumpy, and annoyed that customers came into the store. Review 54 of 2017

Of course this is not a Schuck's any longer, it's an O'Reilly Auto Parts now. Rest assured if it…read morehad been a Schuck's still I would have crawled two miles over broken glass to get to any other parts store. Since O'Reilly took them over it's been an amazing turnaround. They've gone from glorified air freshener salespeople to a real parts store. Take from me, I was a parts guy for over 25 years. I was traveling this particular day with the Wife and the Tax Deduction to see my Nephew and his family for a birthday party. On the way from Vancouver, WA to Springfield the ol' Yelpmobile started running rough, real rough. Luckily right around the corner from the Nephew was this place and even more luckily there was Adam, the parts guy. Now you have to understand that my Nephew, as funny and wonderful a guy as you would ever want to meet is as mechanically inclined as I am physically inclined to giving birth. So his tool collection consists of a jack-knife, a screwdriver and a bottle opener. After Adam used a code-reader to determine the issue was #3 cylinder and after some looking about I quickly assessed that I needed a socket, ratchet and extension and one new spark plug to fix the immediate problem. I had none of these things at my disposal, but I had tons of the exact same stuff at home. Fat lot of good that does me in Springtucky. Adam, feeling my pain, offered up some loaner tools, let me go out and repair it without paying for any parts so we could do just one ticket at the end and printed me up some useful information from the code reader. In the end I was able to get back to Vancouver, WA unscathed and I looked like a hero in front of my family. Thanks Adam!
