A perfect blend of locals and tourists in an absolutely beautiful neighborhood. Service was friendly, lots of choices on the menu and your meal will arrive fast and hot. Lots of references to that movie based on that great book, definitely worth the visit.

I really enjoyed Clary's cafe, it's crazy i lived here for years and never heard of it until my friend made the recommendation . i enjoyed everything about it, i would say it is a hidden gem but it was very busy that morning. we had a slight wait but nothing a walk to the park and back couldn't fix, it has a great location. The food was great, 10/10. i loveddddd the pancake the most omg. The ambiance inside is cozy like a place you grew up in. the staff was so kind to everyone coming in and out , some of the waiters were even singing as they went back and forth. i thoroughly enjoyed and cant wait to go back.

Arrived at 10:30am on a Monday - place was pretty full up. We waited about 10 minutes for a table. We were not in a hurry so no big deal. The breakfast menu has a good amount of options. Corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, and multiple omelettes looked good. I eschewed all of those and went for a breakfast sammy with sausage. Came with grits (perhaps an acquired taste but I love them). The sammy was on toast with two sausage patties. Quite filing. All around good taste. Service was good, ambiance was old school diner like. N*joy!

The best corned beef hash, and I'm a connoisseur major diner vibes and something about it didn't feel totally clean but how good the food was I will be back

Solid place, with solid to good pricing. Pro waitstaff and cooks hustle and get things done and done _right_. Not frou-frou, but the kind of comfortable place where you know you'd better get there before the rush because otherwise you're going to have to wait. Food was cooked to order and was plenty tasty, and felt like a value for the quality and locatiion. We only visited once because there are so many great places in Savannah, but my wife and I are both already looking forward to a visit or visits on the return trip we're planning.

Great food and service. Will go again. No wait either. And affordable. We sat outside and the view was beautiful

If you've seen the movie, Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil, or read the book, you know this place. I've done both, so stopping here for breakfast was a must. This cafe didn't disappoint, it's a Savannah classic! There was a line outside, but it went quick. Going inside, you feel like you stepped back in time. From the old Coke machine to the old fashioned counter, the ambiance here is awesome. That was all before we even got the food. The food was really good too! I had an omelette with grits and a biscuit. The grits were the best I've ever had. If you haven't read the book, go read it. If you're in Savannah, stop here!

Over easy eggs, bacon, plain grits and two very large pancakes. 2nd dish is a Greek omelette with spinach, feta, peppers and tomatoes.

From the moment you walk into this locals favorite breakfast place you feel the warmth of a southern welcome. Service is charming and attentive with not being too much. The breakfast are your basic reliable comfort fare, with the exception of pancakes so tasty and bigger than your head! So yummy. The restaurant itself is basic but not crowded or too noisy, especially midweek. We enjoyed it!

Clary's is definitely on old hidden gem and staple in Savannah. It's been years since I have visited and recently when I was craving homemade corned beef, to Clary's I went! Surprisingly, there was NO wait; so I was able to get a table right away. The place still looks exactly the same and the food still tastes the same. I had the corned beef plate with egg whites and cheese grits. Everything was really good. I did get a cheese danish to go, which was ok; it kind of lacked flavor for me. Overall a great experience, besides the lack of flavor with the danish and I definitely noticed the increase in prices. The customer service was top tier from the hostess to our waitress and every staff member that approached!

Crab Cakes Benedict (a Clary's Original), Breakfast Potatoes

It's crazy to admit that I'm a local and have only JUST now tried Clary's. I have been missing out! I ordered the crab cakes benedict. I was beyond impressed with the amount of crab in the crab cakes!!! Crab cakes can be hit or miss because often places will use a lot of binder to use less crab. Not here!! Fine shredded crab mixed with flavorful herbs. And the staff were incredibly kind and happy. It felt like it was old school Savannah when everyone was friendly and talkative. What a breath of fresh air.

We chose Clary's because of our Old Town trolley tour and the fun story of it being part of a movie. We expected to have a wait time, but were seated quickly on a Monday morning, and breakfast was on our table in minutes. I ordered the veggie omelet, which was loaded with fresh vegetables. Because I am gluten free and passed on the bread, our server offered me a fruit bowl instead. My husband ordered the crab cakes Benedict with cheesy grits and said it was delicious as well. We left very satisfied after enjoyina filling meal with friendly greetings and service.

Great breakfast spot in Savannah. Nestled within the historic district. This quaint Cafe has good ambiance, good food and excellent service. The place offers about 7 parking spots within its property & there is plenty of off street parking too. We arrived at about 10 am ( weekday) and they were busy, but we were sat right away. The staff was very nice and polite. We had a pleasant time and filled our belly with great food.

Greeted by the server and seated immediately. Our server was Paula and she was attentive to our breakfast needs. She took our order, checked on us after our food arrived and made sure we were fine with both our food and drinks. The restaurant was somewhat busy when we left the restaurant. Ambiance was cool and seemed like everyone enjoyed their food. I had the Western Omelette with potatoes, bacon and a biscuit while my wife had the grits and scrambled eggs. We went there on the recommendation of a tour guide who said this establishment is known for their cinnamon rolls but Paula told us they didn't have any at the time of our visit. . The food was good and we enjoyed our meal.

Solid breakfast. Friendly service. Corned beef hash is usually what I get. They make it from scratch not a can.

The online menu photos looked incredible (though I still side-eye those famous PB&J wings--maybe next time!). We chose the Treylor Park Double Wide Diner for breakfast and were thrilled we did. Pro tip: Head there early on a Sunday morning! Alcohol can't be served until after 11 a.m., so the place is surprisingly quiet and easy to get into--no crowds or long waits. We were seated right away, and our server was incredibly friendly and attentive from start to finish. My husband went for The Chupacabra--a massive chimichanga-style breakfast burrito stuffed with eggs, sausage, onions, cheddar cheese, fresh pico de gallo, Sriracha, and chipotle crème fraîche, served with cheesy grits on the side. I ordered the Brunch Nachos, which sounded fun as an "appetizer"... big mistake (or the best kind of mistake!). It was a towering plate of waffle fries loaded with cheddar cheese, bacon, sausage gravy, fried chicken, and topped with sunny-side-up eggs. Both portions were enormous and absolutely delicious--we had to pace ourselves to make a dent in them! Everything tasted fantastic, with bold flavors and that perfect Southern comfort twist Treylor Park is known for. We're already planning to stop by again whenever we're near one of their locations--highly recommend for a fun, hearty breakfast!

Gutter ball trash…read more Insanely overpriced for the trash you are served. Tourist trap from the number of Yelp reviews. This had to have changed hands over the years. The food was absolutely worthless. Seriously, McDonald's is better than this in every way. Photos to prov The ketchup bottle? Disgusting looking. They definitely refill these "do not refill" bottles. The hash browns? Look at the photos--they exploded once a fork hit them. The kitchen was incredibly slow, which resulted in barely warm food. Check out the barely cooked bacon. To top it off? A bathroom door that won't close the first or fifth time because a screw is stripped in the wood. Stupid brown "napkins" from the janitor closet were a nice touch. Straws that barely open in the plastic they're wrapped in, again because they are so cheap. Sausage that was cooked previously, more than likely. The eggs--no complaints there. The toast? Probably leftover from a local prison. The pancakes? I wonder if they were microwaved. I wouldn't go back if someone offered me free food. DO NOT GO HERE. Look at the photos and trust me.

They did have a sign saying they are open 24 hours as well. There are plenty of signs throughout the restaurant when you walk in letting you know of upcharges (because of the egg shortages) and if you're paying with a card, which we were fine with cause we saw it before we sat down. We were greeted with friendly faces and sat pretty quickly. It was pretty busy in there! 2 elderly women serving and 1 cook. It took about 45mins-1hour to get our food, but it was pretty good for a breakfast sandwich especially the bread it was served on. It was hot and ready. We understand when it get's busy like that it'll take a little longer to be served. The only issue we had was my boyfriend never got a refill on water nor I on our coffee. Again, I'll say because of how busy it was in there. I would come back and try this place again. I loved the nostalgic setting this place has and hope that they keep it like this as time goes on and repairs/updates needed. Truly don't see many diner's like this anymore. So we got there for 6:30, and knew we had to leave by 8:20, as we had a ghost tour shortly thereafter and we told our waiter as such. Unfortunately, despite not ordering an appetizer and going straight to mains, we didn't get our dinner until 7:55pm. The reason it happened was the waiter accidentally ordered us the seafood special, not the steak special. They were apologetic about it, but still, a dinner we were looking forward to turned to a rushed scarfing down of food. Would have been nice if they comped one of the dinners, or offered a free round of drinks for the inconvenience. As for the meal itself - the shrimp dinner was meh - only came with 6 shrimp for $32 (pirates house shrimp dinner tasted better and came with over a dozen large shrimp). The ribeye was perfectly cooked, but needed more seasoning. My guess is because they rushed it, they may have forgotten the salt. The steak sauce (tamarind forward a1) wasn't my cup of tea. On the positives - both of the sides were amazing - highly recommend they put those on the main menu. All in all - there's too many good restaurants in Savannah, I doubt I'll be coming back. Given the ambiance, maybe good idea to come for a drink and dessert? (Although the wine pour was a little weak too).
