We have a VRBO in Dana Point. Got a call from the tenant that some critter bug had invaded the condo. Called Clark hoping for someone to pick up the phone and get someone out ASAP. Spoke with a very helpful lady named Jenifer and she had us booked in for first thing in the morning. Joshua was the Technician and he immediately identified the bug as LAWN SHRIMP, a tiny bug that grows in the grass outside that had blown in under the door. He was so helpful putting mine and the tenants mind at rest that it wasn't coming from inside. These guys were great and the consultation was FREE! I did not choose Clark, but my account was transferred when the small local pest control company (Sentinel) I was with closed for retirement. I was a very satisfied customer of Sentinel for some time. They kept our property bug-free and had outstanding customer service and respectful techs. The transition to Clark was seamless and they said they use the exact same product as Sentinel and my price stayed the same so I figured everything would be stable. After their first visit, we found that we had more bugs than we were used to, but we kind of shrugged it off. On my second visit, amidst COVID, right after the governor said wearing a mask was a requirement if you could not stay 6' apart, the tech was not wearing a mask and I needed to show him some spots to avoid on the property. He did not keep 6 feet from me nor think to wear a mask despite the fact that I had one on. I sent my concerns to the company and let them know it's unacceptable. A manager left me a voicemail to apologize but say, "Well, I can't follow my techs around all the time so unfortunately I can't always tell what they're doing." How is this not a company policy? If you have to follow your employees around to make sure they are following protocol, that says a lot about who is working for you. When I was emailed a follow up to my initial complaint and was asked, "What can we do to make this right?" I responded with not sending that tech back to my home. Figured that was easy enough. Fast forward a month and our home and property has more bugs than we have ever seen in our time at this house. I called them back for a respray and of course that same tech showed up. He asked what the problem areas were and I told him everywhere. I mentioned the lime tree in the center of our yard was covered in spider webs for the first time ever and he said, "Well we don't spray trees". Yes, but if you are spraying the perimeter of my property this shouldn't be as bad as it is. Never was before with Sentinel. I let him do his touch up treatment and called Clark to cancel since they could not respect my request to not send that tech back. Also the service was just not cutting it for us. I got my final statement and cancellation notice with the note that stated, "she was still mad about Mario not wearing a face mask last month and when she called for her call back and Mario showed up even though he was wearing a face mask and made her want to cancel." When I spoke to him on the phone to cancel service, I explained that my issue was they sent the same guy back when I asked them not to. He said, "Well he was probably the one in that area so that's just who gets sent." (Not even a tiny apology here) I also let him know treatment was not working for us, both points he negated to leave on my final statement. It was laughable how petty he had to be in writing over my cancellation. I guess if it makes you feel better to lie about how you lost a customer who was mad for no reason, good for you! I'll be switching back to another locally-owned and operated company. read more

This is the third pest control company I called for a rodent problem, and the ONLY company who called me back AND kept the scheduled appointment. Brian came out and did a very thorough inspection, both inside and out, including the attic and garage. He informed me that it appeared to be only one rat, thank goodness, and gave me treatment recommendations. He also suggested that I close the doggie door at night as the rat might be coming in the house that way at night and getting behind the kitchen sink. I set up an appointment for setting traps and Brian came out on time, and was very again very thorough.I found Brian to be friendly, professional, neat, and respectful, and my rodent problem is over. We woke up one day to crazy amount of ants, activated by the heat wave and wild fire smokes in the Irvine area. We called up Clark for a same day appointment and spoke with Robert Orosco. Robert was fully booked all day but after hearing our issues and how much we wanted help, he was kind enough to come see us after his scheduled appointments, way past his work day. It was really nice of him to work over time for us so we can get treatment the same day. We were told some ants will die right away while others won't immediately but will carry the toxin back to their homes, exterminating others. We found very few ants left by the time we came back to the house 2 hours later. And by the next day, all gone! They have not returned since. Thank you, Robert! read more

I used clark pest control. Do not use this company. I paid 1,000 for a door to be replaced in my garage to keep pests out. A month later the door they installed grew mold on it. My exhusband, who is a general contractor, looked at the door and said it had not been primed and painted and it had exposed wood on it and it was a cheap hollow door. I notified Clark that I was pregnant and have a 4-year-old running around and needed this mold-laden door replaced right away for safety and health reasons, and they still have not treated or replaced the door. They tried to blame me the customer for having extra moisture in that area. When the door I had previously never had mold on it in ten years. The door they put in looks scuffed up and not treated properly with paint and primer for outdoor garage side door. Two witnesses say the door doesn't even look like it was new they put in. It is made out of wood, not ideal for garage exterior door! read more

He brushed off webs and sprayed around the whole property and paid special attention to our patio furniture. Our old pest control company was sold to Clark Pest Control. We were a little hesitant for the switch, however, they have been GREAT. One day prior to our service, Rick called to explain the transition, discuss the service, and answer any questions. The next day, he called before he arrived, knocked on the front door, cleaned the spider webs, filled the bait stations, identified pest hiding spots, then thoroughly sprayed the exterior. Brian did a lot of good work with sealing our attic and sanitizing. One hit -- He didn't show one day that my wife had set aside to have off to admit him and didn't call. I honestly think we fell through the cracks until I called and complained, but once I did, the work was finished quickly and competently. January 2018 update -- I was up in the attic installing a ceiling fan. Brian left a trap behind. No problem, it didn't trigger because the attic is rat-free and we now have a spare. read more

I have been using Clark Pest Control for over a year after my previous pest control company was bought out by them. They serviced my home as well as my business. My experiences with Clark have been terrible at best. Every technician that I've ever seen wearing a Clark shirt has been arrogant and unhelpful. I've had multiple technicians, and they have all been terrible employees who have no clue what they are doing. Now let's talk about Results, or lack there of. When I used my previous company, I had zero bugs, at work and at home for my 8 years of service. Now with Clark, we are constantly fighting ants, spiders, and everything else that crawls. Give Clark a call and they send you another bill with no change in RESULTS. Needless to say, I'm switching to Terminix in hopes that they value customers. I grew up in the Midwest where common courtesy goes a long way and you do whatever it takes to be a master of your craft. Clark Pest Control missed these lessons, sadly. Do yourself a huge favor and look for a different pest control company. I can deal with arrogance, when warranted, but arrogance on top of FAILURE is a huge bust for me. Not only is Cameron super friendly and knowledgeable, but we also get him - same tech - for every service. Cameron knows our issues, SOLVES THE PROBLEM, and even our dog loves him. We've had no issues with our pets and the spray (of course I asked!). We have 2 cats, 1 dog, plus I work from home so I can't leave for any period of time. No issues at all.
