I get a tuna salad with hot sauce and garlic sauce plus sprouts and pepper jack cheese on a ... drum roll ... spinach tortilla. I admit this swayed me. I'm a sucker for not a plain flour or wheat or corn tortilla, but my number one: spinach and number two: tomato. I got nothing else, no lettuce, no onion no this n that, nope, plain john sando. I admit, I did not have high hopes. But boy was I wrong. Firstly, they got my order 100 % right. This gets high praise. The taste? Hot damn, this thing was one of the tastiest thing ever to hit my palate. NJ. Creamy and with a kick, super spanking fresh, good quality cheese, and those two sauces are the stuff of dreams. Neither caused GI distress, which at my age, I don't take lightly lol :-) Tge garlic bold and flavorful without astringent acidity and the hot sauce very balanced, not like a one-two punch to the mouth. I get the sandwich and I open it up and I see the most disgusting black goop inside the sandwich.. As someone who worked in food for almost 10 years, (with a makeline visible to customers) I am unfortunately hyper aware of cleanliness and customer service. I witnessed the person making sandwiches on his cell phone on the makeline, he put gloves on before touching the food but 1. A cell phone has sooooo many germs and 2. Putting gloves on without washing your hands first is counterproductive from a hygiene standpoint. Any bacteria on unwashed hands just transfers onto the gloves. I think it is unprofessional to use your cell phone while customers are waiting, and unhygienic to not perform proper hand washing before food handling. Disappointing to say the least. read more

I got it on Dutch crunch and the sandwich came out slightly warm and toasted. The stuffing had great flavor that came through despite being covered by a ton of other toppings. I could've used more cranberry sauce to give it that sweet component but overall 4/5 for a solid thanksgiving sandwich. My friend also got the chicken lickin sandwich and that was just ok. They are super sweet and super fast with their orders. You can wait inside and or eat at the tables they have outside. I've never had a perfect toasted sandwich outside of this place. It's pretty affordable and really good quality, I love coming here to get my fix! I added red onions at no extra cost! Was the sandwich the size of a firstborn - no but it was a good size for lunch without food coma (the size of my forearm) And the bread....PERFECTLY crunched, you can definitely do the ASMR with it. It was hot, it was melty, it was pressed! The portion of the ingredients were balanced, not really too much of one or the other and the chicken was sliced pieces so its not one whole breast. The ranch was not super creamy thick so it didnt overpower the cheese. I enjoyed it very much. When you walk in, you'll find their giant menu on the wall. Not gonna lie, it's kind of dizzying trying to pick because there's so many options. Definitely a good problem to have! The pressed sandwich menu is typically what I go after. Nothing like warm and toasted dutch crunch, am I right? The spicy cowboy is a great if you enjoy roast beef and bbq sauce. The pickled jalapeños add that little hint of spice, and gives the sandwich an extra layer of flavor. Their pressed sandwiches don't come with lettuce, tomato, and those fixings, so if you want to add it, you gotta ask for it. I'd recommend eating the pressed sandwiches fairly quick, because after about 10-15 minutes, they can get a bit soggy. Price wise, look to spend around $9-13, depending on which sandwich you go with. WOW! What a treat it was to find this deli! My boyfriend and I were in Downtown Burlingame to shop around the stores. It was a rainy day and we were both getting hungry, and I'm so glad he SMELLED this place! Once you can smell the food of a place, you know it's going to be good. For an afternoon snack, we decided to split a West Coast Reuben and it was the perfect portion for the two of us. I am normally not a huge fan of sauerkraut, but I REALLY liked it in this sandwich! It added a nice crisp and sour balance to the pastrami and cheese. I was also impressed by the pastrami-- it wasn't too salty or too peppery. All around, this sandwich really took me by surprise and I'm so glad we tried it out. I can't wait to try their other non-pressed sandwiches, and also their "make-your-owns."
