Went for lunch and got the two highest-rated items on the menu: California Love (mesquite smoked turkey, bacon, and avocado with the works) and Soprano (hot capocollo, Genoa salami, mortadella with pistachios, and balsamic glaze with the works). These are BIG sandwiches. And they're juicyyy. I like a wet sandwich and this delivered perfectly. The bread holds up, the ingredients are quality, and everything just works together well. The workers here are lovely, nice, and quick with the service. It's a simple little spot that doesn't need to do anything fancy because they're nailing the fundamentals. These guys are amazing. I chanced upon them while in the neighborhood getting my hair cut. Loved the owner and could tell he was experienced - turns out he and his family run another sandwich shop in the city. Great sandwich. But that's not all! I'm so glad Belmont has a mom and pop sandwich place like this. The people there were a father and son (I think) and they were so nice and professional to every customer that walked in. The sandwich was very tasty and the ingredients tasted very fresh. The cookie was a good way to wrap up the whole meal. The interior gives a pretty average deli vibe. It was extremely clean though. I've recently been craving sandwiches after a long hiatus from them and Belmont Deli conveniently offers a large selection in a location very close to my job. I've only ever ordered the muffaleta here, but that's because of its abundance of size and high quality ingredients that I can't un-fixate from. As in original as it sounds, I always opt for it with Dutch crunch bread too. The added texture puts the muffaleta ingredients on a whole other level. I've also gotten the baklava here as well and was pleasantly surprised at its balance of pistachio flavor while having a hint of sweetness. You can order at the counter here but I highly recommend placing the order online if you're ever in a rush as the amount of staff here can fall behind if the lunch rush comes. All in all this is one of the best sandwich places in the area for a proper deli sandwich that doesn't skimp on the portions. read more

I saw Belmont Deli on the "hot and new" in my Yelp feed, and realized it is on my way to and from my daughter's preschool. My husband picked us up sandwiches the first visit and brought them home. They were pretty delicious and traveled well. He unfortunately forgot his debit card when he was there and didn't realize it could be at the deli until days later. He was able to get in touch with the folks at the deli and they confirmed his lost card was in fact there. They held it for him and I was able to easily pick it up for him. Why didn't I know about this place before? It's down the street from lorenzos. Has parking in the back. I called and picked up my sandwich in like 10 min whereas going to the other place would've been a long wait Sandwich was solid had ton of meat piled on with lots of veggies and spread. I had to come back the same week and then I got the soprano sandwich on Dutch crunch with extra pepperoncinis. 10 out of 10. I'm so happy I have a new deli! I really appreciate the high-quality ingredients from the meat, cheese and the bread and I hope they keep it up! I also would like to note that the inside of the restaurant is very nice.
