The Green Gobbler (no cheese)
Yuval M.

I ordered the Green Gobbler sandwich with no cheese on dark rye. It was perfect portion size and fresh ingredients. Was very fast delivery through DoorDash and this is my third time ordering from Two Cousins Deli, love this hidden gem!

The Sausage Special

Arrived to work hungry and was craving a breakfast sandwich. After a quick Yelp search, came across Two Cousins Deli. Placed on online order for the Sausage Special (egg, sausage, cheddar) on sourdough ($8.50 with tax). Arrived about 10 minutes later and they were finishing up making the sandwich. It was handed to me hot and definitely fulfilled the craving.

3 X Crazy (pepper turkey, provolone cheese, bacon, avocado, & spicy mayo) on Dutch crunch- So good!!
Michelle C.

My partner ordered a couple sandwiches for us to-go since he was in the area. I didn't eat mine until maybe 30 min later. I got the "3x Crazy" (pepper turkey, provolone cheese, bacon, avocado, & spicy mayo) on Dutch crunch w/ everything on it. The bread was still crunchy and toasted. Not soggy at all. The ratio of meat to toppings to bread was on point. Bacon was still crispy. Amazing quality! Best sandwich I've had in a long time. My partner loved his as well. So many tasty-sounding options on the menu, it was hard to choose just one, but I can't wait to try others.

Really tasty sandwiches and friendly crew!! They're very generous with the amount of meat and the toasted Dutch crunch is fantastic.

I came here after I had some business to do nearby based on the good reviews. Two Cousins Deli is located on a side street off El Camino and has its own small parking lot to its side. There are tables both inside and outside if you want to enjoy your meal on location. There is a grand selection for sandwiches, chips, candy, and beverages. The staff was pretty friendly and able to recommend me a few sandwiches despite the slight language barrier. I was given a ton of recommendations so it wasn't helpful to me personally, but I ended up picking the The God Father on sourdough roll. It seems they have a few regulars or friends of the business who hang out here. There are a lot of different sandwich options, but they're all very slight variations of each other, so I think just go with whatever meats or sauces you prefer typically. I picked The God Father out of curiosity for the garlic butter and pesto spreads. These sandwiches are a bit pricier, being close to twenty bucks after tax, so I had high expectations. As you can see from my sandwich photo, my sandwich innards were 2/3rds pickles, lettuce, onions, and tomato, while the other 1/3rd was the meats. As a result, there was pickle juice all over the sandwich, and it just tasted like a pickle sandwich, so I could not detect any garlic butter or pesto. My mouth did have a very strong garlic odor afterwards, though, so the garlic butter did kick in somewhat. I also did appreciate how finely sliced the vegetables were (except the pickles). The bread was nice and toasted and crunchy and all, but that did not save it from the pickles. For an expensive sandwich, I was disappointed in my lunch this day. There are several better sandwich places within 10 minutes of this place that I'd prefer to go to instead. I don't know how other sandwich photos here show a great meat ratio, but I was not a part of that crowd.

The "West Roast" is a great choice but there are 30+ other sandwiches available.

Late Saturday afternoon... no lunch... and I'm starving. I picked up my son from work and he suggested a new sandwich deli he had discovered a week or so ago. We stopped at Two Cousins in Belmont. It's typical of the small sandwich shops you might see in commercial zones that service workers in nearby businesses during the week. As it was late Saturday afternoon, we had the place to ourselves. The menu is very ambitious with more than 30 sandwich choices featuring turkey, chicken, beef and Italian sandwiches. There are also some vegetarian and vegan selections plus eight different breakfast sandwiches served until 10:45 am. My son skipped the menu and ordered a "build your own" sandwich. His late lunch featured double-meat Genoa salami with cheddar cheese on Dutch Crunch. I decided to sample one of the chicken sandwiches and asked for the "West Roast." It is made with chicken, bacon, pepper jack with honey mustard spread on a French roll. This was not a bland sandwich. I could taste the flavor of each ingredient, and the combination of them blending together was immensely satisfying. This was a great sandwich. The dining area was neat, clean and cozy. It looks like it can accommodate 20 or so patrons inside with some seating outside as well. Two Cousins is definitely worth a stop in the late morning or for lunch if you are anywhere near Harbor Boulevard in Belmont. I will be back... soon.

Sooooo delicious and fresh!!! Perfect amount of meat to topping ratio and very flavorful. I've never had anything bad. Crazy drink selection which is very appreciated.. lots of chip and snack options. Easy online ordering and always ready when I get there. Everyone that always works there/passes my food is so kind!! Two cousins is my Sunday ritual. I'm so lucky to live across from this deli!!

this small deli serves amazing sandwiches local to Belmont, but with elite service and food, i would make a drive out here from walnut creek any day of the week. i ordered their ham / salami / pepperoni sandwich, filled with protein and veggies alike the ambiance inside is tranquil and neat; in fact, the neighborhood itself is very nice and chill, with Two Cousins Deli close to residential area thats one hell of a sandwich id recommend

We got sat promptly and even though it was busy we didn't have to have long for our server (Christan) to come over and greet us which was fantastic. We started with the nectarine salad and the burrata and prosciutto. Both were super fresh and crisp. Great way to start the meal. They have a great bar selection and wine selection I went with a sparkling rose which definitely complimented the appetizers. I then got the wild boar pasta subbed the fettuccine for a gluten-free penne. I love that they have the option to sub for a gluten free pasta it makes it so I have many more options to choose from for entrees. My dish had such deep rich flavors I would definitely come back just for that. My mother and sister decided to split one of the wood fire pizzas the formagio and sage. Both said it had the perfect crunch on the crust and flavor was nice. One highlight is that our server Christan was fabulous he was always readily available and he made sure we had new clean share plates and personal silverware between courses. Only low lights would be the acoustics inside. The restaurant are not very good. You will have a very hard time hearing each other unless you sit outside. Another addition would be giving serving utensils along with personal silverware when sharing dishes. Other then that we had a great night and I hope to be back again

My husband and I were in downtown San Carlos for date night and while we didn't originally plan to eat here, we ended up stopping in and I'm glad we did. It helped that it wasn't too busy, but still a good amount of tables were taken. We started with the cauliflower appetizer and it was better than expected. At first, I wished it were a little crispier, but I realized some pieces were cooked better than others (would prefer if all pieces were crispy!). It was one of those dishes that got better the more I ate it and I think I enjoyed it so much because of the sauce it came with. For our mains, we ordered the fettuccine oxtail or short rib?? pasta and the Doppio pizza and both were solid. It's been hard finding good pizza and pasta around here so I'm glad we found a nearby spot for Italian food!

All of this on a Monday. The dipping sauce for the bread was insane. Not your standard olive oil/balsamic vinegar dip! The pasta was delicious with a silky cream sauce. The veal piccata came with a mound of spinach which I loved as it's something I never get to have since the rest of the family is averse. I must've blacked out from a food coma because we literally ate all of it - no leftovers to take home. Unhinged, sure, but we had a delightful time on a dreary day! Wouldn't have changed a thing.

I made several excuses, reluctantly agreed, and was fully prepared to say, "I told you so." Well. I was wrong. My son ordered the linguine with clams and loved it. He ate every single bite, which is always the most convincing review in our family. I had the kale salad and the hot honey pizza. Both were solid, not life-changing, but very good. The real star of the evening was our server, an affable older Italian gentleman who made the entire meal feel warm and effortless. There was one mix-up with the salad, and I was initially brought something with apples and blue cheese. I hate blue cheese. He apologized immediately, corrected it without any fuss, and left the other salad with us on the house. Also, the bread. Warm focaccia and ciabatta served with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and garlic. We inhaled two baskets and showed absolutely no restraint. So yes, after eight years, Vivace has earned a complete reversal from me. My reluctant Father's Day dinner turned into a genuinely lovely evening. The son was right, which I will admit publicly just this once.

Five stars isn't enough. Yelp should create a special category called "I'd let these people babysit…read moremy children." I've been to a lot of Italian restaurants. Some have great food. Some have great service. Vivace somehow has both, plus a staff so absurdly kind that I'm beginning to suspect they're running some sort of hospitality cult. Let's start with Kevin behind the bar. Kevin is calm, knowledgeable, and seemingly incapable of making a bad drink or a customer unhappy. If Jon Hamm and a perfectly crafted Old Fashioned had a child, it would be Kevin. He's got the charm of the guy you'd proudly introduce to your parents and the confidence of someone who already knows they'll love him. Then there's Dana, who may very well be the best bartender on the Peninsula. Her drinks are fantastic, but it's her personality that steals the show. She's so friendly that spending five minutes talking with her feels like you've wandered into an episode of Leave It to Beaver. If you're too young for that reference, just know you'll instantly feel welcome and probably leave wondering why everyone else in your life can't be that nice. Mike, the owner, is the kind of person who restores your faith in humanity. He treats you like an old friend even if you've never met him before. The man would probably give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, and somehow he'd make you feel like he was the one getting the better deal. Arrick, the lead server, is so unbelievably nice that at first I assumed it was an act. Nope. That's just who he is. He's friendly, attentive, professional, and somehow manages to make every table feel important. Sure, he's a good golfer and handsome enough to make your significant other suddenly take an interest in Italian cuisine, but I refuse to hold that against him. And finally, Linda at the front. What an absolute sweetheart. From the moment you walk in, she makes you feel like family. Not the Sopranos kind of family where someone disappears after dinner. The good kind of family where everyone eats too much, laughs too hard, and leaves happier than they arrived. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is wonderful. But the people are what make Vivace special. Come for the pasta...Stay because apparently every employee here was personally selected in a nationwide search for the nicest human beings alive.

Pazzo came to mind and I had never taken the kids with me so we just went for it, and thank you brick oven gods for leading us straight to you. It was quite busy and we lucked out getting a seat quickly, we were met with the sweetest most understand cool waiter (a young gent) that saw my kids ravenous faces and helped get us settled and eating quick!
