    The Sausage Special
    Michele T.

Arrived to work hungry and was craving a breakfast sandwich. After a quick Yelp search, came across Two Cousins Deli. Placed on online order for the Sausage Special (egg, sausage, cheddar) on sourdough ($8.50 with tax). Arrived about 10 minutes later and they were finishing up making the sandwich. It was handed to me hot and definitely fulfilled the craving.

3 X Crazy (pepper turkey, provolone cheese, bacon, avocado, & spicy mayo) on Dutch crunch- So good!!

My partner ordered a couple sandwiches for us to-go since he was in the area. I didn't eat mine until maybe 30 min later. I got the "3x Crazy" (pepper turkey, provolone cheese, bacon, avocado, & spicy mayo) on Dutch crunch w/ everything on it. The bread was still crunchy and toasted. Not soggy at all. The ratio of meat to toppings to bread was on point. Bacon was still crispy. Amazing quality! Best sandwich I've had in a long time. My partner loved his as well. So many tasty-sounding options on the menu, it was hard to choose just one, but I can't wait to try others.

I came here after I had some business to do nearby based on the good reviews. Two Cousins Deli is located on a side street off El Camino and has its own small parking lot to its side. There are tables both inside and outside if you want to enjoy your meal on location. There is a grand selection for sandwiches, chips, candy, and beverages. The staff was pretty friendly and able to recommend me a few sandwiches despite the slight language barrier. I was given a ton of recommendations so it wasn't helpful to me personally, but I ended up picking the The God Father on sourdough roll. It seems they have a few regulars or friends of the business who hang out here. There are a lot of different sandwich options, but they're all very slight variations of each other, so I think just go with whatever meats or sauces you prefer typically. I picked The God Father out of curiosity for the garlic butter and pesto spreads. These sandwiches are a bit pricier, being close to twenty bucks after tax, so I had high expectations. As you can see from my sandwich photo, my sandwich innards were 2/3rds pickles, lettuce, onions, and tomato, while the other 1/3rd was the meats. As a result, there was pickle juice all over the sandwich, and it just tasted like a pickle sandwich, so I could not detect any garlic butter or pesto. My mouth did have a very strong garlic odor afterwards, though, so the garlic butter did kick in somewhat. I also did appreciate how finely sliced the vegetables were (except the pickles). The bread was nice and toasted and crunchy and all, but that did not save it from the pickles. For an expensive sandwich, I was disappointed in my lunch this day. There are several better sandwich places within 10 minutes of this place that I'd prefer to go to instead. I don't know how other sandwich photos here show a great meat ratio, but I was not a part of that crowd.

The "West Roast" is a great choice but there are 30+ other sandwiches available.

Late Saturday afternoon... no lunch... and I'm starving. I picked up my son from work and he suggested a new sandwich deli he had discovered a week or so ago. We stopped at Two Cousins in Belmont. It's typical of the small sandwich shops you might see in commercial zones that service workers in nearby businesses during the week. As it was late Saturday afternoon, we had the place to ourselves. The menu is very ambitious with more than 30 sandwich choices featuring turkey, chicken, beef and Italian sandwiches. There are also some vegetarian and vegan selections plus eight different breakfast sandwiches served until 10:45 am. My son skipped the menu and ordered a "build your own" sandwich. His late lunch featured double-meat Genoa salami with cheddar cheese on Dutch Crunch. I decided to sample one of the chicken sandwiches and asked for the "West Roast." It is made with chicken, bacon, pepper jack with honey mustard spread on a French roll. This was not a bland sandwich. I could taste the flavor of each ingredient, and the combination of them blending together was immensely satisfying. This was a great sandwich. The dining area was neat, clean and cozy. It looks like it can accommodate 20 or so patrons inside with some seating outside as well. Two Cousins is definitely worth a stop in the late morning or for lunch if you are anywhere near Harbor Boulevard in Belmont. I will be back... soon.

AMAZING 10/10! Loved the sandwiches so much you can taste the quality, went for my brothers birthday and the service was amazing and very kind, great and friendly ambiance. We got the karate kid, let's blaze, and a pastrami, would recommend highly.

Sooooo delicious and fresh!!! Perfect amount of meat to topping ratio and very flavorful. I've never had anything bad. Crazy drink selection which is very appreciated.. lots of chip and snack options. Easy online ordering and always ready when I get there. Everyone that always works there/passes my food is so kind!! Two cousins is my Sunday ritual. I'm so lucky to live across from this deli!!

this small deli serves amazing sandwiches local to Belmont, but with elite service and food, i would make a drive out here from walnut creek any day of the week. i ordered their ham / salami / pepperoni sandwich, filled with protein and veggies alike the ambiance inside is tranquil and neat; in fact, the neighborhood itself is very nice and chill, with Two Cousins Deli close to residential area thats one hell of a sandwich id recommend

To me the star of the show is their pizzas; there's a variety of options and they're each made very well. The pizza had a good snap and thin crust- made it addictive; burrata cheese was creamy and the pistachios were a great addition on the mortadella pizza for added texture. Thursday night still had a decent amount of people so it's a little noisy but I could walk in and get a table no problem. Service was super friendly and my waiter patiently and eagerly explained the menu items to us.

Service - they were on top of it, and everybody was Italian, which made it feel like you might actually be somewhere in Italy! Ambience - this is where they fell down for me. At these prices, and with this level of quality of food and service, it just felt sort of like being in a cafeteria to me. And we were placed at a table which was super awkward, kind of partly next to a wall, partly not, and one of the waiters for a big table behind us literally bumped into my chair every time he walked by, which was super annoying. They have cheesy plastic cards on the table with a QR code that you're supposed to look at for something... I'm not sure what as they actually hand you a real menu. Tacky. All in all, I'd go back though because the food was really good. Maybe try sitting outside and see how the outside patio feels.

I have not been disappointed in any of my visits. The food is amazing salad, pasta, the best lasagna I've ever had and of course pizza you can't miss here. My daughter and I enjoyed a daddy daughter date and capped the day with dinner and got the best service from Alex. He got our food out to us without delay made small talk and just completely made us feel at home. From the wine wall to the dining tables, such intricate details. Service was spectacular, wine was amazing, the focaccia bread and herb butter a 5/5! A few things that fell short from a 5 star experience was more of the food experience. Some of the appetizers were just okay and the branzino entree wasn't fully deboned. My ratings for dinner - - Montepulciano and Red Blend 5/5 - beautiful aroma and taste - Focaccia Bread and Herb Butter 5/5 - calamari 3/5 - tasted a little bland, however the dipping sauce complimented it well - Brussels sprouts 3/5 - it came with pork and Gorgonzola cheese, which was unexpected. We don't eat pork so I ate around it. - Bistecca entree 3/5 - steak was good but my boyfriend mentioned that the steak didn't look rested after it was cooked. The green beans were the best! But the French fries had a lot of grease. - Branzino 3/5 - I think if I didn't find 5 bones while I was eating, the rating would have been higher. The salad was delicious though! I think we will try this restaurant again. Maybe try different appetizers such as the burrata or fava bean & broccoli rabe OR just stick with the focaccia bread! For entrees we will probably try a pasta and pizza instead.

The older gentleman serving us was extremely strict, rushed, and constantly lingering around our table. He repeatedly checked if we were ready to order and would just stand nearby if we weren't. It felt like there was no breathing room, especially while we were still enjoying appetizers. I honestly didn't understand the rush. When we finally decided to order, I let him know we were ready but politely asked if he could start at the other end of the table because I personally wasn't ready yet. He told me no, that he had to start from the head of the table. Mind you, he was literally holding a sheet numbered 1-12, so it didn't seem like it would've been an issue to accommodate a simple request. Thankfully, the food itself was good and honestly saved this review. However, the service continued to disappoint. I had to leave early and kindly asked if he could pack my food. He put his finger up, said "one second," then walked away to help another table he seemed much friendlier with. He never came back, and I ended up asking another employee for help. The food was great, but the service needs a lot of improvement. I don't know if employees aren't trained to uphold a standard for their customer service or if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed???? I'd only consider coming back because of the food.
