First time stopping at Ike's and it did not disappoint. Probably the BEST customer service I've received in the area. Everyone behind the counter was so warm, welcoming and friendly. Fast service as well. Lots of sandwiches to choose from! Also lots of yummy chipppy options too. My sandwich was PACKED and sooooo tasty. Fresh, made to order sandwiches! They also have a shared parking lot, which was really nice consider the busy street location of this place. Sooo glad I found Ike's and will definitely be back to try other menu items.

Sandwich taste great but the amount meat in the sandwich is lacking is an understatement. Photo below for proof. Severely disappointed since Ike's was one of my favorite sandwich places and dependable.

I love their sandwiches but had never been to this location (didn't even know it was here :-) We got their vegan marinara meatball sandwich with the works. You can't go wrong here--everything they do is bomb. This one I especially love because I dare you to tell the difference between meat meatballs and these vegan beauties, especially mothered in marinara sauce. But fyi: this time, it wasn't as smothered in the tomato sauce, as in their Burlingame and SF locations. Maybe this is just this location, or this specific sandwich maker idiosyncrasy ... not sure. But next timer, we'll tell them to not skimp on the sauce. It was awesome, especially with the funky fusion potato chips which are for some reason so freaking hard to come bay. This is a strictly take out place. There's acouple of little tables where, if you really can't take it away, you could sit, but don't count on it. Service was efficient. I was excited about trying their minestrone soup, which they were out of, so not sure if they simply didn't make it or if they ran out. Prices are fair, especially for the quality and size of their sandwiches.

Scoring System: 0-3 Food Quality = 3 0-3 Service = 3 0-3 Ambience = 2 0-3 Cleanliness = N/A 0-3 Likelihood I'll Return = 3 Total divided by 3 = Star rating 11/3 = 3.67 / 4 Ike's has great sandwiches for both vegetarians and omnivores alike. They either discontinued the Carmel apple lollipops or forgot them in both our orders.

Paul Rubens on Dutch crunch... only half... ate the other half too fast.

Holy cow. Can't remember the last time a sandwich tasted sooo good. I got the Paul Rubens on Dutch crunch. Best Dutch crunch I've ever had. Perfect to get that crunch and sweetness but also be able to bite through. Holy cow... why have I not been eating here weekly??

I have been to this location three times and two out of the three I think I was helped by the Manager or one of the Owners. A very happy, friendly and welcoming guy. His positivity alone is worth 5 stars because you feel your business is appreciated and he enjoys interacting with customers. Even with a mask on (which I appreciate the health aspect) you feel his smile and joy. Ike's locations are hit and miss. This location gives generous portions and the rolls are fresh. My wife had a Spiffy Tiffy on a Dutch crunch roll and she said it is the best Ike's sandwich that she has enjoyed. I had the Steve Young on a soft roll and mine was pretty good too. I ate mine so fast I forgot I wanted to take a picture first. Definitely patronize this business for fresh, generous portions and friendly outstanding service. I live in the East Bay but will stop here on my way home when my wife or I crave an Ike's sandwich.

Stopped by and grabbed a sandwich on the go. It was really good. The amount of meat and sauce was perfect. They say a messy sandwich is a great sandwich so how can you go wrong? I had their special bread and the crispy crunch definitely enchanted the sandwich. I'd come back and try some of the other options another time.

I was excited to learn they partner with The Butcher's Son for vegan mozzarella and meats. I've been a big fan of The Butcher's Son food for a while, and I love their mozzarella sticks, even though I usually don't like vegan cheese. I went with a medium 1/2 and 1/2 pizza: Vegan Meatzza and Vegan Buffalo Chicken. I also tried the Vegan Cannoli. The pizza was hot and ready when I arrived, and they sealed it with a 100% vegan sticker, which I thought was a nice touch. I really enjoyed both flavors! It's tough to pick a favorite between the two, but the pepperoni on the meatzza was delicious, and the buffalo and ranch combo on the buffalo chicken was tasty. Surprisingly, my favorite was the cannoli. Even though I usually prefer savory over sweet, the cannoli was amazing. I loved every bite, though I think adding chocolate chips to the filling would have made it even better. Overall, it was a 10 out of 10 experience! I can't wait to try other vegan pizza combos.

There are very few tables inside and 1 table outside, so it's a good idea to grab and go if you're not in a hurry to eat. Plenty of options from pizzas to calzones to sandwiches, burgers, desserts and milkshakes. There's definitely something for everyone. The pizza was made fresh, it was delicious and came out fairly quick. The onion rings and waffle fries definitely hit the spot while we waited for our pizza to come out. Although it was empty when we came on Father's Day and we had a chance to dine in, we would definitely order to go next time around.

When we arrived, we were easily able to get seated without a reservation (perhaps because it was a Sunday). The service was wonderful from the get-go - they were extremely friendly and attentive the entire time, and made us feel very welcomed. And though we arrived on the slightly later side, they never made us feel rushed. The interior of Rin-Tei is minimalist and cozy, and had a very familial feel, as virtually all the tables are connected by a long bench along the wall. It contributes to the inviting, inclusive atmosphere of the restaurant, making it a great spot to meet up with friends. We ordered a variety of dishes which we all split, including: the garlic shrimp, the Vietnamese papaya salad, cold sesame TanTan pho, keema curry, calamari, sizzling wagyu loin, and a couple drinks. And everything we had was excellent! My personal favorites were the sizzling wagyu loin, which was perfectly cooked and abundantly juicy and flavorful, and the warm, tasty keema curry. I'd also never had cold pho before, but I ended up being very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! I don't think you can go wrong with anything here. I loved my experience at Rin-Tei, and will no doubt be back soon!

SPEEDY SERVICE While daunting in appearance, the long line out in front moves surprisingly quickly - only 12 minutes for us to get seated! Friendly enthusiastic attentive staff. Given the queue, they really move you through here in a friendly sort of way, so it's not a place to sit and linger after consuming your meal. There's tons of dessert places just outside.. =) Inside you'll find airy high ceilings and a busy energetic vibe with music that is almost kinda loud! Tables are pretty close together to accommodate everyone. Understandable given the constant lines outside. We came here on a late afternoon midweek. We ordered the: CHASU RICE Appearing almost immediately after ordering, you get a good sized bowl of your basic bits of pork belly-infused Japanese rice - tender and most throughout. It could use a tiny pinch of salt to dial it in, but it worked well with the Aburasoba. Generous serving - enough for both of us. ORIGINAL ABURASOBA オリジナル油そば Aburasoba basically means "oil noodles". Not "oily" in a bad sense, but supple and smooth and superb! With this you get two pieces of 1/8" thick chashu, bamboo shoots, green onions, and nori (seaweed.) The star of the show here are the noodles - supple, al-dente with every bite and such an delightful texture. Served warm. Suggested for first timers, I split this with my light-eating wife. Between us, and the side of rice it was enough for a light lunch after a big breakfast we had earlier. I definitely look forward to coming back here at the first opportunity. Worth the wait.

I've tried ordering a different noodle each visit, but I always end up wishing I'd just gotten the Homura Aburasoba again. The combination of fish powder seasoning, raw egg yolk, and savory meat sauce makes the noodles incredibly rich, flavorful, and packed with umami. The other noodle dishes without the fish powder tasted more like Chinese dan dan noodles to me. They're still good, but they don't have the same unique flavor that makes Kajiken stand out. We also ordered the chicken karaage, takoyaki, and agedashi tofu for the kids, and everything was delicious. The menu recommends the Original Aburasoba for first-time visitors, but if you don't mind the fish powder taste, I'd actually recommend the Homura Aburasoba. It's the dish that really offers the best experience!

The restaurant has two levels with the second level dining being a more intimate space. The coffee flight was least impressive as the pistachio cream viet coffee was more on the sour side and the salted cream viet coffee was a bit too bitter. The corn milk one was delightful and not as strong as the other two. The main highlight of the might was the What Da Duck!! The fatty duck skin was flavorful and the meat paired well with the coconut sticky rice from the Pork Ribs dish! The sauce was also savory, sweet and added a perfect bit of juiciness to the lean duck meat. The banh cuon was as expected, nothing super fancy. The pork ribs were also really flavorful but a tad bit dry. Our server was attentive and refilled water quickly. We overall had a fun girl's dinner here!
