The food is decent for a corporate-style cafe. Most of the folks who come here are working in the Crossroads, Coupa Software or Salesforce buildings. In theory, this place could be awesome. They have fresh food and switch up the meals for lunch often. I like that. The issue is always with communication and end results. Ex: I order an egg white & cheddar on english muffin; the price is $5.55 for a normal breakfast sandwich WITH meat. I assume egg whites cost an additional $1 (even though there is no sign stating such). I assume my lack of meat on the sandwich would eliminate the need for the extra $1 charge. So why is my total $6.95? What gives? To make matters worse, my 3 ingredient breakfast is usually wrong. I get regular eggs or I'll get no cheese, etc. When I make a statement to the crew about fixing it I get some pretty ugly looks... so I prefer not to say anything. Unfortunately, because I work nearby I need to get breakfast here every week. So I make sure to be clear: "I'd like a breakfast sandwich on english muffin: egg whites and jack or cheddar cheese please." Followed by "You got the egg whites and cheese right?" :/ read more

Shady practice. Their credit card transaction machine make you select tips first before you can swipe. The tip selection screen shows 10,15,20% tips or others. Im not used to system like that, so I hesitated. The cashier reached over and pressed 20% tip and then told me to swipe my card. Who give her the right to select tip amount for me? All I bought was a croissant, and for that she thinks she deserves 20% tip? Fortunately, I tried to pay with Samsung pay, and the transaction didn't go through. The Vineyard Cafe is a convenient shop for those who work in the buildings nearby. I would say the food is pretty good, but the value isn't there for me. I usually come here for the taco Wednesdays (which is odd in my opinion). The salsa isn't the best and the burritos and tacos are pretty generic. Unless you work around the area and need a quick bite, I would rather go to the Trader Joe's across the street for better value and food quality. read more

Great Customer Service! I have been coming to The Vineyard Cafe for a year and a half now. I have built incredible relationships with the staff (they have a low turnover rate) every time I stop by, we chat and know each other by name. Mike, the owner, helps with catering to making me a coffee before work. Laura knows the business inside and out. She does everything from cooking to cashiering to opening/closing. I do not like posting negative reviews, however after 5 months of visiting the Vineyard Cafe I feel it has become necessary. Our orders are consistently wrong. The girls who work there are consistently rude and do not like to be bothered whatsoever, (I have actually witnessed them intentionally rolling their eyes at a customer who simply asked for an extra condiment. ) The food is lackluster and overpriced. (ie: dry tacos with nothing but meat and a few tiny slivers of onion). I wouldn't say it's the food itself so much as the effort that is put into "tossing the stuff together". I want to like this place, I really do...it just seems to never get better in terms of customer service and quality. I will say that the owner is very nice and welcoming. He is often times the only one who seems to act as if he realizes that we are paying customers, and we do have a choice in where to have lunch during the workday. read more

After eating here regularly for a week I can say it's pretty much hit or miss. The coffee drinks are better in the afternoon than in the morning and lunch is better than breakfast. The hash browns are a huge miss, the breakfast bagel sandwich was ok but super dry. The egg salad sandwich, on a croissant, was really really good. The Vineyard has finally opened its doors at the Crossroads buildings replacing J.J. Deli (it was good to see that some J.J. Deli employees were retained). The owner of this cafe also operates the Grapevine Cafe down the street, so I have a gist on how their food is. I ordered the cheeseburger with french fries and a drink which came up to around $8.50. The food took longer than I expected, but they just opened, and I expect them to turn it around eventually. There were a couple customers who did not get their food yet considering that I ordered after them. It was hard to hear the employees call out the order numbers because the background music was a little loud. They should lower it a tad. On to the burger...I was pretty disappointed. It was not bad but on the dry side. I was expecting a more juicier burger. I needed to drink more soda to clear the dryness in my mouth. However, the seasoned fries were fresh and crispy. I will try this place again because of its convenient factor; it's just a walk away from my building. This place has a lot of potential and definitely is an upgrade from J.J. Deli. I'll be sure to try another item from their extensive menu. read more

Sometimes I feel like I only write Yelp reviews when I want to vent. I guess I keep the good places for myself. Anyway, like so many others, I work in the Crossroads building. Much like being at an airport, Vineyard Cafe gets a lot of business simply because they have no competition. (I don't really count Trader Joe's competition) I'm surprised Starbucks lets them use their branding. And if they are going to serve Starbucks, then they should train them how to brew coffee, and especially how to make a decent latte. Today I just had to throw yet another latter; scorched milk, yuck! but at $5.50, that's an expensive toss. As for lunch, the food is barely edible, over priced and slow slow slow. Since the only customers are Crossroad building employees you would think they would recognize that speed is of value to us. We refer to it as "The Crapateria" here in the office, that tells you everything you need to know. read more

I have eaten here a few times, it is very close to my work, the specials look tatsy, but i often order the Super Burger and they cook that in the back...well the last time i ate there, and the last time I will ever eat there, I ordered the Super Burger and within 2 hours my stomach was not right, within 4 hours I was throwing up and with in 12 hours I had a feverm aches and throwing up every hour. I was not able to hold down fluid or anything, so I went to the Dr's and they confirmed food poisioning, based on the burger being the only thing i had eaten the day I started getting sick. I would say beverages and pre packaged food ok to eat, and items they keep in view probably ok, but if it comes from the back area PASS! Since sharing my story with the people I work with who have also eaten there, I have heard similar sotries from 3 other people. read more

Went here to grab a bite to eat for breakfast since I had to spend a couple of hours at my friend's workplace. After perusing the menu, I decided to get a sausage omelette, which came with wheat toast. The omelette itself was actually pretty decent, as it came with plenty of sausage and cheese. The toast was pretty uninspired, barely even toasted and coated with a layer of butter. This place seems to sell and repurpose a lot of items from Costco--so don't expect anything too gourmet. Overall, the food took about 10 minutes to come out and the prices were reasonable. The ingredients are all fresh, but the flavors and dishes are all very basic. read more

It comes on a roll and has onions and jalapeños. Tasted great! There is plenty of seating, the food comes fairly quickly, and decent choices. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat and are in the area, is a great place to meet up with a friend or just grab lunch and go. They also have patio seating outside so you can enjoy your lunch outside on most days. They also serve Starbucks coffee! read more

Only eat here in a pinch. My theory as to why orders get screwed up (see past reviews) and the ladies behind the counter are cranky..... 1) Mike- the clerk who takes the orders doesn't a) listen when the ladies say they're out of something b) note what the customer wants or doesn't want in their order- I ordered a burrito and asked them to hold the sour cream and cheese. When I got the receipt from the lady who made my burrito, nothing was on it about holding anything! 2) The ladies are busting their tails to make the food correctly for the mad rush. When they have to stop because Mike messed up and some high maintenance customer says to them "excuse me, I wanted a side of gualcamole too", they get cranky.... can you blame them? My advice--- only go in a pinch, ie: you're starving so bad that you're too light headed to walk to Trader Joes! Plus, they're expensive too. They probably don't care cause they have some sort of long-term contract with the Crossroads Building. read more

The food here is not good. Caesar salads are usually old and soggy, entrees are bland, the menu is the same week after week. Their sandwiches can be ok, but that's nothing to be proud about. About 10-15% of my online orders are either wrong or lost entirely. The prices would be sensible if the food was half decent, but you can do a lot better for the money. They get one extra star for having a convenient online ordering system - at least when they get the order right. read more
