I previously have been here about a year ago and really liked it, so I decided to come back with my family to eat a brunch. Ordered somethings to share and mostly had our own food. Overall service was standard but nothing worth noting The chicken croffle was my go to and is still very good! The steak wasn't the best and creme brulee French toast was standard Overall I still recommend this place as there's not many asian fusion spots that are consistent like Taste and glory

Came here on a weekday for lunch and it was quite busy but I was still able to get seated swiftly at the last available table. Servers were all pleasant and got my mother and I's order out in a reasonable time. Chicken and waffles (5/5) the chicken was well seasoned and perfectly fried! The waffles paired well with the syrups on the side. Carbonara Udon (4/5) the udon was perfectly cooked and the richness of the sauce stuck to the noodles. Really good spot to get brunch and I can't wait to try their other brunch items.

Bomb. I love these Asian fusion brunch spots. A lot of em have been poppin up tho. This spot was really good. Be sure to get there early if coming on a weekend to avoid the line. Food: Tomyum scramble - good but not enough Tom yum flavor. The dish was solid but nowhere near as good as the other dishes I'll be mentioning Basil ribeye- omg I thought this dish was gonna be basic. I had a feeling it would prob be a solid choice but basic cause the ingredients are just flavors I already know... But honestly this dish was so good I gotta recommend Creme brulee French toast- solid French toast choice. Was very tasty. Next time I'll try the Thai tea one Chicken croffle- another omg score. I've had croffles before but this one was one of the best. The croissant flakiness and texture was still there even tho it had been pressed into a waffle. I've had others where it lost that flakiness croissant texture. The chicken was so good as well. Juicy dark meat it was really good. Overall, very good brunch spot. Would def recommend checking it out of in the area

Ambiance: The place is very brightly lit with both tables and semi table booth sitting. The tables are relatively close to each other so there is not a bunch of privacy as well as can be harder to seat larger parties of greater than 4. Wait time: The wait time was between 15-20 minutes for a party of two around lunch but expect longer waits for bigger parties. They seat first come first served and they only sit if the entire party has arrived and is waiting. Service: Staff is very friendly and informative to their customers. Drinks were filled regularly without being overbearing. Food: The drinks were both very good with the matcha having a strong flavor and was sweetened with what looked like granular sugar. They have condiments already on the table with water served to everyone upon sitting down. Tom Yum Scramble had a good flavor to it with the tomatoes cutting through the richness of the cheese and the dungeness crab tasting fresh. Salad had small tomatoes added into it and garnished with a fruit slice on the side.

Great vibes here, nice lighting and great brunch food that doesn't feel very heavy. Seems like it gets a bit busy in the weekends, but we came around 10am and it was a quick wait Nice servers too!

We ordered to go by phone and had no issues. Didn't have to battle the crazy long weekend brunch line! Got a mascarpone pancake and a chicken croffle. Pancakes 4/5 Solid tasting pancakes. Went well with syrup and the fruit compote. Love that they give so many fresh fruits with it too. Fried chicken croffle 4/5 fried chicken was juicy and tasty and seasoned well. Croffle probably would've been better there. Got a little too hard as I was eating it since it was to go but the croffle was buttery and delicious. Overall, I will be back not sure I'm willing to brave the weekend rush though!!

Deliciousness. Be prepared to wait though. When we arrived there was a line out the door. However, it was jut two of us so we got lucky and got seated ahead of the larger groups, within about 20 mins. I'll also add that it's a bit cramped in there...at least for me. The service was quick! I had the crème brûlée French toast. I went a fan..it was too pudding like in the middle. The flavor was there but the texture just wasn't for me. The chicken and waffles were delicious! Highly recommend. I also had a chai latte and I'm not sure what she had, lol. But everything wa really good!

Taste and Glory is easily one of those places that never disappoints. Their service is always top notch, the staff is attentive, friendly, and makes you feel genuinely welcomed every time you visit. It really elevates the whole dining experience. The interior is also incredibly cute and cozy, with a warm atmosphere that makes it a great spot whether you're going for a casual meal or something a little more special. Most importantly, the food is always delicious. We've tried at least six different dishes so far, and every single one has been amazing in its own way. It's clear that they put a lot of care into both the flavors and presentation. Definitely a place I'll keep coming back to and recommending to others!

Instagram-worthy food to be had here. Love the Steak & Eggs. The thin cut of steak is not something we normally find at supermarkets. It is the first time I have over-easy eggs with steak... I had no idea they go so well together. Chicken Croffle was quite good. Love that they paired it with sauce, Biscoff crumbs, and berries. I love the marinade for the chicken, but the batter is a bit crusty. The Croffle is so tough that it is hard to cut with a butter knife. I enjoyed the hot Ube Latte. Love that it comes with whipped cream and birthday sprinkles. The decor is not as comfy in person, but love their picture-perfect food and pairings.

Popular Asian-American fusion brunch restaurant in San Mateo, known for its creative and unique dishes. The interior is bright, clean, and welcoming. Wait times can vary, and you'll likely have to wait during peak hours unless you visit right when they open. The menu is fairly extensive, but the choices are well balanced and not overwhelming. We ordered the chicken croffle, berries pancake, crab cake Benedict, and tom yum scramble, along with Thai iced tea, coffee, and lemonade. Despite the restaurant being at full capacity, our food arrived pretty quickly. The dishes were unique, and delicious. Presentation also good. Service was friendly and efficient throughout the visit. Price-wise, it's on the higher side, but the quality and creativity of the food make it worthwhile. My advice is to come early to avoid long wait times and enjoy a smoother dining experience.

I love Asian fusion brunch places. We got here around 1pm with a group of four. You do need have the whole party to be seated. There was a small line you have to wait outside and the chairs inside is very limited in waiting. There is a small parking lot next door but it gets filled pretty quickly so you have to find street parking. The restaurant is a little small but plenty of seating. The host told us she was waiting for a table to open up and be cleaned. We got seated around 1:30pm. We got the Thai tea French toast and carbonara udon. We got our food pretty quickly. Everything was really tasty. The French toast was perfect and the thai tea syrup was good. I was scared it was gonna be too sweet but it was the right amount. The carbonara udon was also very delicious. It came with an egg, cheese and bacon bites which was great savory taste. They came around to fill our waters a lot. The place is clean and modern looking. They even had cute pop mart collections as decorations. The only thing was weird that my boyfriend paid the check with cash and they didn't back with change. I guess they assumed the rest was tip? But it was fine.

An amazing place for brunch. Crowded even on a Monday morning! A cool variety of Asian fusion dishes. I was recommended to have the Chicken Croffle for the sweet and savory. Omg. It was huge! The chicken was so moist (love the sweet chili sauce) and the waffle was a perfect mix. My friend has an omelette but I was too busy ogling over my waffle to take a photo of anything else. Reservations are only during non-busy times. I need to go back and try other dishes. In the meantime, I have leftover Chicken Croffle for breakfast today.

This is a very popular brunch spot and it always has a line, so prepare for that when you visit. We got there at opening on a Sunday and were seated right away. The interior is very modern and chic. The staff is friendly. Other than a few signature dishes like the tom yum scramble or the Thai tea French toast, it is pretty standard brunch fare on the menu. The food is unfortunately pretty subpar, especially for the prices they're charging. If you are a breakfast/brunch spot, your coffee better be on point. Theirs is really awful. Like McDonald's at 4p after it sat there since breakfast bad. This is unforgivable in my book. Hot drinks are made from a microwave or a tea kettle and all powders. Food presentation was nice and it came out fairly quickly. Taste was pretty underwhelming. Pieces of every dish were great but none of them were solid all around. The toppings on the croffle and French toast were good but the croffle had a weird taste and the French toast was tough. Other than the hype and the decor, I just don't get it. There are so many amazing brunch places right in that area that are easy to get into. Fun to try something new but we won't be back.

Bathrooms are in a bit of a sorry state and chairs are peeling at the edges. Service is a bit clumsy and rushed. No one asks for any food restrictions before the meal and it isn't asked when reservations are being made, so you'll have to actively speak up if you need this addressed. Dishes are only fully explained at the bar, if you sit at the standard tables you'll get a very basic dish explanation. The food is mostly Chinese Japanese fusion and some dishes knock it out of the park, like the chawanmushi which is fused with flavors of Chinese egg drop soup. Some really drop the ball, like the scallion noodles which were soggy and overly greasy, the oil was not properly infused with the green onion and so you just got mushy soggy plain oil flavored noodles. The course lacked consistency. Some dishes were incredible, some average, and some downright bad. There's a lack of consistency in the prep also, there were crab shells in the orange crab dish, there was a bad bitter uni in one of the chawanmushi, etc. I think the ambiance, service, and course doesn't add up to the $150 price tag. There's definitely potential but the lack of effort does affect the overall experience.

The only downside is that parking around this area is quite difficult. Overall, however, I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys omakase and appreciates high quality Japanese cuisine.

In any case, we got a window seat which I appreciated. Enjoyed the chirashi don and nigiri particularly. I don't think it's a value spot nor "night out" vibes, maybe something in between But lengthy menu has something for everyone. Service is friendly but they are busy so you may need to flag them down and also wait a bit for orders.

With the live ukulele musician and the decor filled with leis & totem poles, it makes you forget where you are almost. Noelani's is located in this quiet San Carlos residential neighborhood, away from the busy shopping centers nearby. They got seatings inside and outside with cushioned seats and hay-style umbrellas when the weather is nice. I came on a Sunday afternoon and parking wasn't too bad. CK and I sat at the bar and the bartender was wonderful - very friendly and attentive. We got the Kaka'ako Nachos (poke nachos w/ taro chips) to start and it was good and fresh. Initially I thought there wasn't enough sauce cause they were all at the top, but we found a lot of it sitting on the plate on the bottom, and I recommend mixing up the poke. I got the Shaka Chicken lunch plate, which is boneless chicken marinated in shoyu, pineapple juice, rice flour breaded & flash fried, drizzled with sriracha wasabi aioli & unagi sauce. The lunch plate comes with potato-mac salad and rice, but I upgraded with spam fried rice. The chicken was nicely panko'ed around and tender/juicy inside. The flavor was good as you could taste the umami flavor, and there was a good sauce ratio too. CK got the guava steak lunch plate. It was a 10 oz steak with a guava puree & soy sauce marinade, pickled cucumber side. The steak itself was cooked medium rare, and it was tender and flavorful. We both enjoyed this dish as it was also subtly sweet from the guava puree, but you can't really tell. CK and I both enjoyed the meals here and we can't wait to try other things next time!
