    Matcha Rose Latte
    Laura L.

I've been here a few times and each time the restaurant has been completely packed. I've always enjoyed what I've gotten here! I've tried quite a few of their matcha lattes and the best one is the rose matcha latte which has just the right amount of sweetness and rose flavor. The sakura matcha latte was too sweet and peachy for me. The jasmine matcha latte is nice too. The grilled cheese and tomato soup is okay and I think the toast is better. I prefer the savory toast options (probably avocado + egg toast is my favorite.) The tomato and mozzarella as well as egg salad are also very good!

I stopped in on a beautiful Saturday morning and they were very busy. You order at a counter and sit anywhere. The place is beautifully decorated and a nice vibe. I didn't eat anything but the food looked delicious and fresh. I will definitely stop by for brunch another day. I got an iced banana bread latte to go, but staff were very friendly. Wow, the latte was amazing!! I was worried I it may be too sweet, but it was perfectly creamy and flavorful. The added touch of some banana bread sprinkled on top was chefs kiss! Really

My catering order - Cucumber and hummus toasts, tomato and mozzarella toasts and veggie quiches

I ordered catering for an event, and was very impressed with the quality and presentation of the dishes. The guests loved the veggie quiches and the toasts. Staff were very responsive to my questions via email and my order was ready at pickup time. I would not hesitate ordering from Mints and Honey again!

Heavenly place for single young professionals and no kids to hang out with their friends. As soon as you walk in you feel the energy from the youth. Maybe it's the young hip workers who look like they came out of a lifestyle magazine. The decor and ambiance feels Californian European. Light and airy with unique touches like the gorgeous terrazzo counter tops. I ordered only a coffee and quiche so cannot comment on their other foods. There was a long wait on a Saturday, probably 15 minutes. The Vanilla Bean Latte with Oat milk was meh. Doesn't beat the leading player at La Boulangerie SF. The quiche, I had higher hopes, so it's also just, meh. The vibes were great and workers were friendly. I would come back to try their other foods.

Word of advice to the owner: Put the menu's near the door. Upon entering you walk up to the cashier, grab a menu and place your order. The cashier seemed to be a little impatient and a line started to form behind us because we really weren't sure if we should grab the menus and go sit down and then come back and order or grab the menus and go sit down and someone would wait on us hence my advice for putting the menus near the front door so when you do get up to the cashier, you already know what you're ordering and there will not be a line forming behind you . There was no one to walk us through the protocol for the tea service. Which to mention is not a tea service because there are no pots of tea served (The whole reason why we came here). They do offer a three tier plate. You choose from sweet or savory items for your tiered service: meaning waffles with banana, bananas, and whipped cream or strawberries and fruity Pebbles with whipped cream, which is what we ordered along with the ricotta Berry waffles. I will admit the whipped cream was delicious. The berries were fresh, and the waffles were to die for. The middle plate consisted of two cold biscuits with jarred jam and whipped cream. Nothing spectacular here and a bit disappointing (No warm scones) top plate contained desert: one mini red velvet cupcake, two macaroons, a little chocolate cookie treat and two mini plastic desert cups with I believe Greek yogurt with a strawberry sauce. Again nothing spectacular. We sat at the tables outside. which I normally don't do because that part of Burlingame gets very, very busy with Vehicle traffic and I prefer not to have car fumes with my meal but my friend (whose birthday it was) wanted to have an outside table. The staff seems friendly enough but again there's so many places to eat at in Burlingame, particularly in that area. I would maybe come back here for an avocado toast and coffee, but certainly not for the $71.00 tea service.

02/15/2026 - Toast Sampler: Rose & Strawberry, Prosciutto & Fig Jam, Creamy Mushroom & Egg, Smoked Salmon on Cream Cheese $26

Mints and Honey is a crowded brunch spot on the weekends in downtown Burlingame. You order and pay at the register, grab your number and find a table for yourself. There's also a self service water station. Since we had a larger party of 7, one of the employees helped me pull a table over so we could sit together. They have plenty of staff on hand, which is great! Their menu is one of the most extensive versions around, with so many combinations since they offer samplers for their toasts and waffles. Since it was our first time, it took us a good while to decide what to get. The samplers are really meant for one person, but they can add up as each one is an added cost to the original starting price. Their platters look amazing as well. And they also have Afternoon Tea options! And then you can't miss their Seasonal specials too - food and drink items! And of course, there's also a long list of beverages to choose from. It's just a lot! We got: * Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup $13.95 - Both my nieces got this and let's just say there wasn't anything left on either of their dishes. * Toast Sampler $16: Rose & Strawberry (+$0.75), Prosciutto & Fig Jam (+$2.75), Creamy Mushroom & Egg (+$2.75), Smoked Salmon on Cream Cheese (+$3.75) $16 - The Little Gal got this and it looked amazing!! Presentation alone was top notch! And I do like the flavor combinations they offered. She ate three of the four, which left the Husband with just one half of a toast. This was a winner! * Avocado Toast $9.95 - My sister got this and it was just avocado toast, nothing really special about it. * Prosciutto Melt on Sourdough $16.95 - The Little Guy got this sandwich and he ate it all up. And he didn't really share any of it. This came with a mix greens salad. * Mushroom Melt on Sourdough $15.95 - My sandwich was the last to arrive. Apparently, one of their ovens wasn't working so there was a delay with the sandwiches. I liked mine, but would have preferred if my bread was toasted a bit more. There was over a 15 minute gap from when the first item came to the last, hence my nieces were pretty much done eating by the time my food came. This also came with a mix green salad. * Banana Bread Matcha Latte $8 - My sister got this based on the recommendation of the worker and she thought it was pretty good. * Hibiscus Mints Lemonade $5.95 - The Little Gal enjoyed this and I found it quite enjoyable too. With so many staff working, we did have quite a few people come by and check to make sure we got all of our items. This is how I eventually found out what was happening with the ovens. Overall, Mints and Honey has some great offerings! Their food items look fresh and inviting and so many combinations to choose from! I'm actually a big fan of their toast offerings and would have love to try some of them. All the veggies look lively and fresh, and they do use a lot of arugula there. Even the side of mixed green salad was a nice portion with tomatoes and carrots. I would definitely return. 4.5 stars

Absolutely love this place! I've been a handful of times and it can get really busy on the weekends or specifically for breakfast/brunch but I've always been able to find a seat and food comes out pretty quickly 15-20 minutes tops. The interior is super cute too! There is plenty of street parking and there is a public parking garage right down the block as well. Everything tastes fresh and there are a lot of items to choose from and mix & match making dishes easy to share or if you wanted to try a little bit of everything which is me all the time! I would highly recommend to stop by if you're in the area.

Came here many times and just have to say it's an efficient and pleasant visit each time. It's airy, clean, and asthetically pleasing! You first get the order and then find a table (it does get very busy especially on the weekend but I have not waited super long ever as the turnaround is quick). I have tried a lot of their waffles and sandwiches and I love their proschiutto ricotta with fig jam and avocado ones the best! Their drinks are amazing and I can't rave about their matcha!

Cute little high tea experience! We ordered Classic Afternoon Tea tower for two which comes with our choice of 4 slices of savory toast/ waffle samplers, 2 scones with jam and crème, and 2 pairs of three petite desserts. The pricing was decent for the high tea experience but I wished the set came with tea for the price. The toasts were a decent portion and were tasty. The desserts were your usual afternoon tea desserts. Overall, a cute experience and I like that you don't have to call ahead of time to arrange for the afternoon tea tower, at least for the Burlingame location! I believe you need to call ahead for the San Carlos location as they have limited supply. Staff was attentive and the establishment itself was very clean and spacious.

MH House Salad and Egg Salad w/ Toast
    mar

The house salad (front plate) came with generous portions - good and fair for the price we paid. The egg salad (rear plate) also comes with a sandwich cut in half and a handful of salad, and it's one of the best price per portion items on the menu (highly recommend). Food was great Service was fast, even on a busy day. We've gone a handful of times and waiting times were always short; no missed items or incorrect orders either. It can be noisy inside on weekends due to business, but seating is never an issue. Seats are comfortable and clean, spacious enough for parties of 2 or 4-6.

Food: everything there is delicious, some items are super basic but it just tastes so good! Their sampler toast (you can choose up to 2-4 types of toast to try), veggie quiche, their tomato soup, their lattes, all yum! I did order the bagel board and it didn't have cream cheese, which is strange but had the egg salad instead? Service: I have been to this place 3 times now, and each time has been good service. No complains. Ambiance: such a happening place! Tip: go there early to grab a spot, usually sooo packed. Or go after 12pm where the crowd cools down a bit.

Came here on a holiday for a quick brekkie and all the seats were full! Quick tip if you're with bigger group, have one person order for the entire group while the others look for seating. You do have to place your order at the register, they give you a number and you find your own seat. Food came out pretty fast which was nice. I assume they get busy pretty often but I see why. Such a cute little brunch spot with food that looks and taste good. I ordered two different toasts (egg with arugula toast and tomato/mozzarella with toast) and have to say that the egg was my favorite and most memorable. More flavor if I'm being honest. The price point was fair given how much they actually put on your toast!

Cheery spot nearish the SFO airport. Stopped in for breakfast after and enjoyed speedy service, great hit drink and cheery ambiance. The vibe early in Sat was lowkey--came back a week later and about an hour later and it was busssyyy! Still swift and cheerful service with a sunny table to enjoy.

Is there kosher food on the menu?

I heard they don't allow laptops/working on weekends. What about weekdays?

Laptops use is welcome on weekdays except Holidays.

    Do they take reservations?

I don't think so, but the line to order goes quickly and I've never had a problem finding a seat either inside or a parklet area outside.

I ordered the Gui Hua Oat Latte, since that sounded pretty unique. There was other drinks that I was interested in trying like some of the matcha drinks, but I rarely see an osmanthus-inspired drink at coffee shops. It is made already with oat milk, so I didn't have to ask for any milk substitutions. I thought it was pretty good in terms of a latte, however, I wish the osmanthus flavor was a little stronger. The barista mentioned that the latte would have more of a floral taste, but it felt pretty faint. Cost was pretty similar to other coffee shops in the area, since it was $8-9 for my drink with oat milk already included. Other than that, would come back if I'm ever back in the area. I like the cozy vibes and fun drinks that they have!

It has this nice crunchy chocolate shell on the outside with a smooth, creamy center and just the right hint of coffee. As a tiramisu fiend, this is one I'd absolutely come back for. Spoon ordered: French flan I don't usually go for flan, but this one is different!!! I do absolutely love the custard layer in a fruit tart, so imagine that with a firmer texture and a richer vanilla flavor. It sits in this perfectly thin, almost hidden pie-like crust. I used to order their bagels and chocolate croissants regularly but when they say order ready by a specific time, do they mean the coffee only or the entire order? The coffee is always right on time but the food requires several reminders. Today, my order was supposed to be ready at 7am. The coffee was there but the burrito and chocolate croissant were not yet. I checked with the barista at pick up. She had tons of coffee to make. The barista told the cashier who passed by regarding the burrito but the cashier disregarded her and continued grinding beans for the fireman or whatever she was doing. I checked a second time at 7:04am with the barista. The barista went over to put the burritos a minute or two later and when the cashier was done grinding the beans, she went over to take it out of the warmer. The time I left the store was 7:08am. This happened the last 5x we ordered food there. I understand the mornings are busy but people pick up according to the mobile order ready time on the app . Being late once or twice is understandable but consistently late means there is a pattern. I should just stick with the coffee only with no food. I hate to bother the barista multiple times. Service needs to be better.
