The portion was a bit miserable, at the same price we have many better options But still a good poke bowl.

Fresh fish and the best variety in poke bowl toppings! One of the better poke spots in the San Mateo area. My only note of criticism would be that they didn't use a new bowl to weigh out my fish. My partner ordered first and added a bunch of sauces to her fish and the server used the same bowl for me but I didn't want any sauce so it would have been nice if a clean bowl was used for my order. Very generous portions and everything tasted great though! I'll still be back :)

I enjoyed my poke bowl from here, we were looking for some lunch in the area and decided to give them a try. I was glad to see that they had some outdoor tables since we had our dog with us. The restaurant was clean and the workers were friendly. There is only street parking available, we managed to find a parking spot nearby. The poke bowl was delicious and I thought the portions were pretty good. Of course, I had to get the truffle aioli sauce and it was a nice addition to the poke, you don't usually see truffle as an option. Overall, quite an enjoyable shop for a poke bowl. The main highlight is the addition of truffle, so if you like truffle and poke, you'll want to try this shop out!

good yummy food! a lot of choices in their poke and their stuff is definetly fresh. you can taste it is fresh by the way they fry their onions, cucumber, fish, etc. good quality. they have many sauces too which i love as i always like my things sauced up. service was decent, i would say i wish they would speak a bit more but other than that they get the job done. the space of truffle poke itself is really big tons of spots to eat and chill. you have to park street parking tho

Went here on Tuesday so it was pretty quiet. I got a custom regular poke bowl since it was only a few dollars more than the small one and you get 2 more scoops of fish! I got the salmon and crab. You can never go wrong with crab and the salmon was fresh. I got the original poke sauce and the truffle aioli. The combination was super delicious!

Ordered a regular bowl (four scoops) to go on a Saturday night. The store was not very busy so service was fast. Straightforward menu with steps to order. Their toppings bar is impressive; I can't say I've ever been somewhere with this many. Tried the kimchi and the daikon this round; both didn't disappoint. Portions here are decent. They def went ham on the fried onions. Def hit the spot, I'll probably ask for a bit more ponzu next time. Will be back to try the taro chips!

Solid Poké! Glass noodles and white rice as the base with salmon and a wide variety of toppings FTW. Good fast service too.

The poke here was all right, I did really enjoy the truffle sauce, however, it made me super thirsty after. The service was decent, I did come in relatively later when they were almost about to close, so there were not a lot of people there. The place itself is very big, and definitely has a lot of seating.

I was craving poke the other night and discovered that our favorite spot was closed until the end of October. We decided to try Truffle Poke since it had been a while. The online ordering process was quick and easy, and we only waited a short time to pick up three poke bowls. While I wasn't expecting a lot in terms of presentation, since it was a to-go order, I was disappointed with the quality of the fish. Instead of the satisfying, substantial cubes of poke, all the fish was chopped into tiny bits and pieces, making it hard to enjoy the usual mouthfeel of fresh fish. The result was a bowl of clumpy rice mixed with seaweed salad and other toppings, where you had to dig for the fish. I also wouldn't recommend the crispy onions--they were stale and greasy, and it was more trouble picking them out than they were worth. Overall, it was a miss for me.

fish portions are pretty stingy even for a regular bowl. rice was fresh, toppings were fine, hamachi looked a little sus, salmon was good. service was prompt, we were the only ones there for an early dinner.

I got a small bowl with rice and salmon for my proteins for $15. You get two choices for the protein, can mix sauces, choose an aioli, and get unlimited toppings (some are extra charge). The ladies that helped me were nice and quick with our bowls. They had less variety of toppings than other places I been to, but it was still a decent selection. Fish quality was decent. Inside, there's lots of seating. The bathroom toilet didn't have a seat which was a bit inconvenient. They also have happy hour for oysters. I believe it was $1.50 per oyster.

Honestly, I was hoping this place would be better. The service & atmosphere was very nice. I got a regular bowl (4 fish portions). I got 2 salmon, 1 crab & 1 tuna. They were weighing out 5oz for each portion which was like 4 tiny cubs practically. I feel like I barely got any fish in my bowl & they overcrowded it with rice & other toppings. They put a ton of crab on which was nice, but skimped out on the salmon & tuna. When I did have the fish, it tasted good and fresh, but after a few bites there as none left and I was left with half my bowl of toppings left. This place has potential but they need to fix the fish portion sizes.

Have they closed for vacation? We tried coming here two weeks in a row and they're still closed; even tried calling but their vm was full??

I've been here twice and I saw the owner out back who informed me they are hoping to get the situation with the city solved and be open hopefully by next week.

Their sashimi selection is incredibly fresh, beautifully cut, and perfectly packaged to-go. I'm a huge fan of their tuna--especially the otoro, chutoro, and akami--but you honestly can't go wrong with their salmon, uni, or any of their other fresh fish selections. Their hot food section is just as impressive and made fresh daily. Whether it's chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, sushi bowls, nigiri, chicken karaage, or grilled salmon, everything hits the spot and tastes homemade. What really makes this place special is the family behind it. You'll almost always see Ken, Shu, Misako, or their mother Ryuko, and they make the whole experience feel welcoming and authentic. And if you're into whiskey or just a casual drinker, keep an eye out for their selection--they occasionally carry rare bottles like Yamazaki and Hakushu, which are getting harder to find these days. Overall, Suruki is a gem in San Mateo. Quality, freshness, and great people--what more can you ask for?
