Solid pizza, we ordered a 6pcs mozzarella stick and a large half lamb and half white house bizza for delivery. Love that you can combine different topping options. Their pizza also didn't have that greasiness on the bottom that some pizzas tend to have-- pleasantly surprised!
Located near the event center off of 25th Ave in San Mateo. There are a few designated parking spots for Bizza itself. The shop isn't very big. There are very few tables inside and 1 table outside, so it's a good idea to grab and go if you're not in a hurry to eat. Plenty of options from pizzas to calzones to sandwiches, burgers, desserts and milkshakes. There's definitely something for everyone. The pizza was made fresh, it was delicious and came out fairly quick. The onion rings and waffle fries definitely hit the spot while we waited for our pizza to come out. Although it was empty when we came on Father's Day and we had a chance to dine in, we would definitely order to go next time around.
I was just passing through the area and was a little hungry when I passed by Bizza. A quick and inexpensive slice of pizza sounded like just the ticket. The pizza was pretty solid, but the real surprise was how excellent the onion rings were. Honestly some of the better ones I've had out to eat. Well seasoned and battered, and came with a really tasty ranch dipping sauce. I'd come back just for those to be honest haha.
I had been meaning to try Bizza for some time and finally got around to it. I got the personal size buffalo chicken with garlic added. The crust of the pizza felt good quality and light. The chicken was a bit on the drier side but had decent flavors overall. The ordering process for takeaway was pretty smooth. They have some interesting selections and I might consider trying the falafel one some time.
Bizza has a solid vegan section in their menu. And though they have a legit vegan section, I was instantly intrigued by their Falafel Bizza which can be made vegan by swapping out the cheese for vegan cheese. In addition to pieces of falafel, this pizza includes green olives, tomato, Mediterranean pickles, chili pepper sauce, and tahini. Delicious combination and I would easily order this again! The only thing I would change is asking them to drizzle the tahini after the pizza is cooked rather than having the tahini cooked into the pizza. https://bit.ly/4lkyE5J We also ordered the Vegan Don't Be A Chicken and substituted the pesto base for a tomato base. Not sure what brand vegan cheese they use but the menu states it contains cashew. I also noticed that certain vegan pizzas are made with Butcher's Son cheese so I wonder if it's used across the board for all vegan pizzas. I also like that this place offers slices. Staff is friendly and helpful. The dining area is small but not competitive for a table. We were there around the 6pm hour on a weeknight. The atmosphere is quiet, maybe too quiet even though there was a constant flow of customers. Music would help the vibe. The walls are filled with colorful murals. They have a clean bathroom and a small parking lot. Great experience! I would easily come back here.
Clean and cute space but we took our pizza to go. The worker was kind and service was pretty fast - we ordered and then went across the street for coffee and by the time we got back it was ready and waiting for us. We ordered a half/half but I don't remember the two flavors. The worker was kind enough to help us narrow our options down. We drove to half moon bay and enjoyed the pizza. It was windy and the pizza was "lukewarm" by the time we could eat it but even still we all enjoyed it a lot.
Let's be honest, Bizza is not your regular 80s and 90s pizza joint. This was my first time visiting this place. I noticed the kitchen area is huge compared to sitting area which is rather small with few tables. I understand that their focus is on to go and delivery orders. Bizza's menu is the most unusual with items with Mediterranean influences. Toppings like lamb meat and Za'atar which is typical in Mediterranean cuisine. Service is polite and quick. It's only took almost ten minutes to receive my order. I ordered Meatza which tasted good but not memorable. Crust was the star of the show with well above average toppings. But the overall, combination was lacking the punch. All and all my experience was positive and will go back but this time I am going to try items with Mediterranean influence.
I was visiting the area to get some work done on my car and had some time to spare. I found this place online nearby and decided to give it a shot! I was really impressed by the variety of vegan pizzas they offered. I tried the vegan Pineapple Express and the Buffalo Chicken by the slice, and both were pretty good! Thanks again.
Nice clean place with many pizza options and timely service My boys liked their pizzas and my niece liked her salad. I got the Meatzza and it was great... tasty crust, good sauce, & yummy toppings plus pepper flakes & parmesan if you want it. There is no alcohol that I saw... soft drinks or water only, maybe juice. Parking was easy at 2pm on a Saturday and we were the only customers so seating wasn't an issue but they only have a few tables.
This review is for the vegan pizza options. I read a lot of the good reviews but was still pretty skeptical based on the photos. I don't know, they just didn't look that good to me. But, I'm glad I tried it! I think the main thing that was off-putting was how thick the crust looked and how many toppings were on the pizzas. It just looked all a little too much. Indeed the crust was thicker than what I prefer, but it was better than I thought and kind of necessary to hold up to all the toppings. I got the vegan buffalo chicken pizza, which was really yummy. The fake chicken and bacon visually did look weird (they did not look anything like chicken or bacon...), but I definitely got that smoky bacon flavor. I just love a place like this that has a ton of options for vegans and non-vegans alike. Their sandwiches sounded good too so I am looking forward to trying one of those sometime!
Delicious pizza made fresh! There isn't too much seating and the pizza stays fresh in the box, so it's a perfect take out meal to enjoy outside in the park or for a night in! They have a variety of flavours and we especially like the lamb one. The crust is delicious and not too thick or doughy, but is still substantial and the sauces are great! You can also order half and half if you can't decide on which toppings or sauces! Would highly recommend!
Bizza is one of my favorite pizza joints in the Bay Area! The menu is quite expansive, featuring a wide variety of meat and vegan options. Their pizza has all of the familiar, satisfying qualities of a traditional pizza but with a Mediterranean twist. The seating there is fairly limited, so we usually prefer to takeout and enjoy in the comfort of our own home. The pizzas are prepared quite swiftly as well - we placed an order online and it was ready for pickup within 20 minutes! We've tried both the lamb gyro pizza and lamb bizza, which are equally delicious! The Wild Wild West is good as well but the BBQ sauce is a bit too sweet for my liking. In terms of sizing, the 14" medium was the perfect amount for me and my partner (although it claims to feed 3-4 people). Can't wait to try all of the other options in the future!
Saw this place on IG so decided to place a pickup order since I'm always on the hunt for yummy vegan pizza. I was excited to learn they partner with The Butcher's Son for vegan mozzarella and meats. I've been a big fan of The Butcher's Son food for a while, and I love their mozzarella sticks, even though I usually don't like vegan cheese. I went with a medium 1/2 and 1/2 pizza: Vegan Meatzza and Vegan Buffalo Chicken. I also tried the Vegan Cannoli. The pizza was hot and ready when I arrived, and they sealed it with a 100% vegan sticker, which I thought was a nice touch. I really enjoyed both flavors! It's tough to pick a favorite between the two, but the pepperoni on the meatzza was delicious, and the buffalo and ranch combo on the buffalo chicken was tasty. Surprisingly, my favorite was the cannoli. Even though I usually prefer savory over sweet, the cannoli was amazing. I loved every bite, though I think adding chocolate chips to the filling would have made it even better. Overall, it was a 10 out of 10 experience! We were super starved after a hike. Found this place after web search. We ordered a Vegan pizza for takeout. It was ready on time. When I picked it up, it was so piping hot and bursting with flavors that we decided to sit there and eat. The pizza was honest, guilt-free yet, so delicious. The place was clean. The guy at the counter was courteous and helpful. Unlike other places the vegetable toppings were generpus. Overall a great first time experience. Will visit again. Came in for the first time to try the vegan pizza. Decided on the XL wild wild west pizza that was listed inside the establishment for $34 and yet I was charged $43. When I asked why I was being charged $9 extra, I was told that the board had old prices and price was not able to be adjusted. I canceled the entire order and emailed the owner of his unprofessional and shady practices. ** The owner answered my email within few hours. ** Here it is "Hi there, Thank you for reaching out to us about the menu price discrepancy. Our staff alerted me about the issue and unfortunately our artist who does the menu board for us switched the numbers from 43 to 34. It was hand painted and they fixed the issue as of this afternoon. Because you turned to Yelp, we cannot assist you further as we would have loved to invite you back for a free pizza for the confusion and frustration. Been reading great reviews about this place so my family went there tonight to give it a try. The rave reviews were correct! The parking lot right next door was very convenient and the restaurant itself was very bright, clean and inviting. My family of 4 luckily was able to grab the only 4 chairs at the side dining bench. The other customers that came in while we ate there were all take out/delivery orders. The menu of pizza choices was very unique and we settled on a half/half medium pie of Tony's Supreme and Go Green. We also got a personal size cheese and pepperoni for the kids. These pizzas cooked up real fast in their special pizza ovens. Found out it only takes 6 minutes after the pies are prepared. The Tony's Supreme was full of flavor and very hearty with all the meats. The Go Green was lighter but still very good. My fave of the 3 flavors was actually the cheese and pepperoni because I loved the simple taste of the cheese and pepperoni. The crust was also crispier with less ingredients. The crispy cornmeal crust really stood out and made an impression on me. We chatted with Sam who turned out to be the owner and he was very nice and friendly! He said they are planning to expand the indoor dining area in the future. Learned that this location was about to turn 1 year old and also learned about the SF Haight/Ashbury location as well. We'll definitely be back again to try the other unique pizza flavors and probably order from them for our son's birthday party! Give this place a try for sure! read more

Came here expecting for birria pizza because.. Bizza! We thought it was birria and pizza combined = bizza :') safe to say I was caught off guard when I saw a bunch of Mediterranean themed menu. The menu was a tad confusing because there's gyro pizza and lamb pizza. We are not a big fan of tomato sauce so we ordered the lamb gyro pizza instead. The pizza is AMAAAZING. I love the elasticity of the dough, the softness of the cheese, and the creaminess of the sauce. It's truly lovely. The downside of it was that the gyro doesn't seem to be that much. Service was ok, the guy doesn't seem to be able to understand us very well when I asked him about birria or gyro, but they were really nice and making the pizza really quickly. This place is fire. The first pizza place ever I've been to which is vegan centric, and damn if each of their sandwiches, calzones, sandwiches, and pizzas are not slammin. Seriously tasty. We got their "pepperoni" pizza, not sure how on earth it was gonna taste; we did not miss actual pepperoni, so delish was it. Their "cheesesteak" sandwich, with oozing melting goodness, OMG, so freaking good. Their "meatball" marinara sandwich wow, if we didn't know they weren't vegan, no way would we have guessed, super zesty and yummy with awesome quality rolls. Customer service awesome and super responsive, e.g. we ate there but our aging ears found the music too loud and when we asked them to turn the volume down, they obliged. There are no salt and pepper shakers on the table and they also don't have any, but it was incredibly kind and sweet for someone from the kitchen to come around to our table with the kitchen salt shaker (yes, they did this :-) and temporarily lend us their salt shaker lol :-) The [prices are incredibly reasonable especially for their portion size. Parking was easy out front. My only little bit of feedback: it would be a game changing and inexpensive addition to their business if they buy some salt and pepper shakers for each table, plus some chili flakes and a bottle of hot sauce, maybe some parmesan cheese in a bottle and dried oregano--it would go such a long way in allowing each diner to customer their food. It would be inexpensive because they don't have a lot of tables there, e.g. less than six. This is our go to healthy place for all things pizza :-)! read more
We ordered pizza for delivery at Fieldwork half a mile away. Opted for half hot on haight and half falafel, but received neither one! Was delivered an artichoke pizza instead which was so disappointing because we were looking forward to the proteins. Pizza itself was just mediocre, nothing to write home about. My daughter liked the cooked vegetables but couldn't eat the artichokes. Wish we'd gotten Seniore's; my wallet would've been happier with that choice. read more

Tried out a new place for pizza - ordered 2 pizzas, enjoyed the flavors - fresh ingredients - the pineapple was a little watery but still tasted pretty good - ate more than planned because the flavor was good and didn't make me feel oogey lol - we tend to pickup to get it home as soon as possible so it will still be hot - enjoyed our dinner, a competitor with our usual place - want to try their other food next time - looking forward to it read more

New craving unlocked!! First time trying this place and did a to-go large size (14") with half Wild Wild West and half Hot on Haight. We got there early and hung out for a few minutes inside, there's a nice spot to sit to wait and maybe 2 seats if you're staying and eating. The interior is very welcoming and well-decorated, I love the branding! This business is clearly passionate about their product. Employees were friendly and efficient, we got our order in no time. The pizza itself is delicious! Brought it home and put on some Netflix, but we could barely select a show before finishing half the slices. it's so addicting! You get big chewy bites of dough, cheese, and toppings, everything is juicy, flavorful, and incredibly crave-worthy. 10/10 recommend for a tasty and casual meal!
