Quick service and decent pizza. Parking is hard to find and requires payment. This place was clean and basically empty when I got here. They have fresh salads and a soda machine. They're able to heat up the slices for you. I'd rather eat this pizza than Costco's pizza and consider this pizza to be a good fast food pizza alternative that is better than Round Table Pizza.

Solid East Coast-style pizza, no complaints. It's always good to have a spot in the neighborhood where you can get pizza by the slice!

Pesto and Pepperoni

This is California Pizza. The staff is always so nice each time I go here, and they never fail to surprise me. They help me answer and decide what pizza to order and make sure to feel we are comfortable. As for the pizza itself, it is the perfect amount of crispy and cheesy. Not too over powering of any flavor and I always go with the original flavors (cheese and pepperoni). The ambiance of Pizza My Heart feels very nostalgic and at home. I like the accents of surfboards and pictures because it feels very california and at home. Overall the experience of Pizza My Heart never misses and I highly recommend!

We drove down from the North Bay just to go to this place, it was recommended highly in Social Media ( Instagram and TikTok). Nearly $100.00 for 3 pies.. all of which were burned, after we requested lightly cooked. We could have just gone to Dominies if wanted to have such a treat. We his wasn't acceptable, neither was the attitude...

We decided to venture out of our usual pizza spots & give this place a try. We got our food delivered in less than 30min & were exited to dig in. The cheese bread not only looks delicious but tasted just as good as it looks. The pizza looked just as good but unfortunately didn't taste as great. The issue was the dough, it was thought if that makes any sense. Perhaps the dough was over worked? If it wasn't for that, this pizza would've been great as I really did enjoy the flavor of the sauce. I can't say that I'll be back but at least I gave it a try.

Oh we were so hungry and didn't have anything to cook - no one wanted to go to the store - decided to order pizza - 2 large - one with ham and pineapple and one with half pepperoni, half with pepperoni sausage olives and mushrooms - they came earlier than predicted thank goodness and we mowed them down before I could get a picture - we only have a few pieces left - I just ate one for breakfast - cold of course - happy with the flavor, the crust thickness (medium), and flavors and the amount of pineapple - more than other places - a lot more - I was so happy with that! So happy we didn't have to make my clean kitchen dirty and had an easy yummy dinner. The photo is from this morning - yummy cold pizza for breakfast! Look at the amount of pineapple on there!!

The nerve to serve me this

Burnt bottom. I can't recall a time I've had to return a pizza because it was too burnt. The employees quickly replaced my pizza after I told them. I was already home, took a bite and had to drive back to pick up a new pizza. The fact they served it to me an entirely burnt is frustrating.

Stopped by Pizza My Heart for a second dinner with the guys recently after a delicious meal at Dash Japanese a few blocks over. Unfortunately, there wasn't a huge selection of slices at 7:45PM on a Monday but the food is always consistent. I usually go with combo or their pepperoni and sausage but all that was left was pepperoni, which was great. The slices were heated up in the oven a few minutes before being placed in a single slice box. They have some indoor tables open for seating but we opted for the tables just outside. Oh yeah, the ranch dressing here is one of the best and goes well with pizza! Friendly and quick service make Pizza My Heart a go-to place for a late night snack or even as a main meal.

Despite living in San Mateo and having tried Pizza My Heart at other locations, I've never once actually ordered from this location before. With the CORVID-19 outbreak going on, and doing our best to support local businesses, we decided to order some pizza from this Pizza My Heart location through UberEats. Between ordering and it arriving at our door, the entire process was about 35-40mins, and it arrived still fairly warm and quite delicious. We went with two 12' Create-your-own custom pizzas, with two toppings each, which came out to $15/pizza. There's a current BOGO free promo going on, so our cost was just $15 for two pizzas! Which allowed us to give back the difference as a tip to help the driver out. For our pizzas, we went with Pineapple and Ham on one, and Pepperoni and Sausage on the other for the meat lovers in the household. Both pizzas were made perfectly, not burnt, generously loaded with toppings, and really good. Will definitely be ordering from this location at least a few more times before this shelter-in-place is over, as well as into the foreseeable future!

We always get the margherita pizza and when we want some protein, the meatballs are a good option. We have had some of their seasonal pizzas but the margherita is really tried and true. They also have a combo meat and cheese board (pick 2 of each), which is well worth it if you want a little bit of both, and the pairings that come with it. I always request the porchetta as one of my meat options. The staff is very attentive and the ambiance inside is kind of dark, moody and classy. They have a lovely bar but we prefer to sit outside on their patio. They do have heat lamps in case it gets chilly.

We were greeted at the door with a "happy anniversary!" and it was printed on our menu as well :) Small touches and personalization really do go a long way. I love the casual yet upscale vibe of the place, and my in-laws commented on what a great choice of restaurant it was! The noise level was just busy enough with white noise without it being overly noisy. Our waitress was so friendly without being overbearing, and timing was great (checked in enough, not too much). We got the Chef's Board 3-piece to start - had a great variety! My in-laws split the Pizza Margherita (crust was similar to what we had in Florence!), my mom and I got the Papardelle (mine was a bit overcooked, but I also love mine super al dente, so just a personal preference) and my husband's Toasted Semolina Ravioli was a little *too* al dente for his taste, so if we'd switched, it would've been perfect! My dad got the Top Sirloin that was very tender. For cocktails, I got the Amore Proibito which was like a gimlet with a kiwi cordial, yum! My husband got one of the featured negronis for Negroni Week! Overall, 4.5/5 stars Would come again for another special occasion!

She wanted seafood so I told her about this place as it had a variety of food, had a cozy ambiance and I enjoyed some tasty dishes in the past. We were able to be seated in a bigger table which was closer to the bar and not jammed in the main area. I had requested a seat away from the kitchen in my reservation so glad they honored that. They cleared the table from the previous diners and we sat down. Shwe was our server. She seemed nice and sweet. We were starving so we quickly chose an appetizer and our entrees. They brought a couple of waters and bread with a tangy Marinara dip. My friend wanted the Calamari to start with and that came with an Aioli sauce. My friend asked for Marinara on the side so Shwe brought some. The Calamari was nicely done, tender and not greasy. We splashed some lemon on it and even though I don't usually eat Calamari, this was addictive! For dinner my friend ordered the Branzino Spanish Cod, Piccata style w/cauliflower, broccoli, potatoes and carrots. It was pan friend, clean tasting & my friend loved it! I ordered Vongole with clams but asked for Cappellini noodles instead of Spaghetti. I was disappointed because it was flat tasting, seemed like they used Canola oil not Olive Oil, there was no umph to it with parsley nor salt, nor white wine. Even the Cappelini was soft. I even added the side of Marinara sauce to see what it would taste like but that couldn't enhance it either nor adding 3 lemon wedges. It lacked the depth of flavor & pizzazz unlike Boudin's we had the other day that was so full of flavor where you could taste the garlic, anchovies, white wine, capers, parsley, croutons and the clam broth! I was busy talking with my friend that I forgot to ask Shwe for shredded Parm cheese. I realized that after 10 minutes later. Maybe I was looking for more flavor. She never offered it nor to check on us after serving our entrees. We just noticed that. When she came by she just gave some sprinkles & stopped vs. asking if I wanted more? Usually, a server will give you Parm until you say "Okay, that's good!" I know it was busy and it seemed like she was the only waitress on the floor. I think the Manager who showed us our table was following around and we could hear him talking to her but he was assisting on the floor as well. There were other servers from the kitchen who served our food too. I was disappointed and didn't take my leftover Cappelini home. The only redemption for me was the Tiramisu we had for dessert. It was a good portion and the coffee flavor was pronounced. I had a few bites but it was my friend's bday dessert. My friend thought she wouldn't be able to finish it but she gobbled it up!! I noted that it was my friend's birthday but Shwe didn't mention anything nor did the dessert have a "Happy Birthday" writing nor even a candle?? Not sure I'll be back but if I do, I'll stick to the Bolognese sauce, Calamari and Tiramisu. It's a popular place for locals from what I could see and has always been a busy little restaurant.

It was scorching the day we went so I called ahead of time and asked if it was possible to be seated somewhere cool. A very kind gentleman said he would do his best. They gave us this table right beside these huge open windows. It was perfect!! Thank you! Because of the heat, I stuck with things that were on the lighter side. I ordered the beef carpaccio and the Caesar salad with chicken. Both were delicious. These are both fairly simple dishes yet as we all know, not all things are created equal. It's amazing how many people ruin something as simple as a Caesar salad. There's was sensational. Perfectly dressed. It was both tangy and creamy, which I love. What I really appreciated was that the chicken that was added on top wasn't an afterthought. It was well seasoned, tender, and sliced in thin strips on top of the salad. It was slightly warm so i could tell it had just been cooked, which I think is wonderful. I'll take that any day over pre-cooked, dried out rubbery-ass chicken. If I lived or worked in this neighborhood, I would come here frequently just for this salad. The carpaccio was also excellent. Delicious on top of some of their warm toasty bread. Boyfriend ordered the orecchiette, father ordered the cannelloni, we ordered a Margherita pizza for our little guy and everyone was happy. It was a wonderful evening. Grazie mille

It's like a raw onion dip. And not in a good way. My Caesar salad was so anchovies forward that I was worried that I would attact stray cats nearby. It's so overpowering and fishy. 1/5 stars, horrible salad. My coworker's artichoke soup was more like crouton soup. Her crab cake salad had crab cakes that looked like they were from the frozen food section from Whole Foods. 2/5 stars what a sad meal. My acidic tomato tasting bolangnase was so thick and tomato tasting that it could have been a tomato soup with like pasta and beef in it, rather than the other way around. 2/5 stars, this doesn't taste like legit Italian food. I didn't like my meal and am only giving this place 3 stars because the service was good. Okay tiramisu, but the cream tasted like cream cheese on top for some reason. Would not come back.

The inside of the restaurant has a nice sized main dining area with a private dining area on the side, just past the restrooms. I was able to get seated right away due to the reservation, but I assumed walk-ins would've been accepted since there were tables available when I arrived. Aside from the bread with dipping oil, the meal started off with calamaretti fritti and bruschetta pomodoro. The calamari batter fell off upon touch as if it was frozen and reheated and tasted like mostly cornstarch with minimal spices; the crunch was there but not attached to the pieces of squid. The bruschetta was put together a little better, though the taste was standard and nothing extraordinary. Next, I had the insalata d'uva which looked like a salad mix straight from the bag at first glance. The taste of the pomegranate dressing was there, though very faint, and the red grapes and pecans were minimal. The gnocchi gratinati was a little better with the Padano-cream sauce. For my main course I had the salmone alla griglia. The fish portion was a nice size with a decent amount of olive oil on top. However, the "seasonal vegetables" were just green beans with little to no taste and the Yukon Gold potatoes lacked flavor as well; I had to try my best to soak up the olive oil with the green beans and potatoes. Lastly, for dessert I had the chocolate torte which was a thick and rich chocolate cake with strawberry sauce drizzled over with nothing remarkable to note. I've been to this Il Fornaio location occasionally over the years, and the quality of the food is the same every time; there is definitely room for improvement. Service was okay at best and the waiter didn't do anything above and beyond basic expectations. There are many other Italian restaurants nearby that I would prefer to dine at over Il Fornaio.
