Hands down one of the freshest pizzas I've ever had. Im not too big on pizza chains and waffle from Round Table to Mountain Mikes when I have a craving, but man this specific Pizza Guys hits. Let's start off with the staff in particular. This Pizza Guys is run by a sweet little family and they're always so prompt and professional. I never had to wait for my pizza when I pick it up or deal with a late delivery. In fact food is piping hot even if I swing by to grab it early. Also Vi who runs the cash register is super nice and Derek always knows how to make my pizza right. It's always super consistent and super fresh. Oh and if you get Huan as your delivery person, def give him a shoutout and a nice tip! The guy works so hard trying to get all those orders to people on time. Service aside? I normal build my own pizza. Since they have gluten free dough I opt for that as my base, add pesto as my sauce with mozzarella cheese, parmesan, italian sausages, spinach, basil and sea salt. I know, Im very particular but Pizza Guys definitely gets it right no matter how many times I've ordered! I recommend my build your own as well! The shop itself is a bit tucked away behind some buildings but it can be found just right off the main road. Be prepared to go slow to find it. As for the shop itself it's predominantly togo. Its very small but its worth it ordering takeout from here because its dependable and quick. Overall excited to keep coming back and supporting this family owned franchise. read more

Hot, yummy, and always satisfying! We really loved Pizza Guys -- especially the garlic roll appetizer. It was perfectly crispy with lots of garlic and cheese. The pizza is affordable, tasty, and reliable; we've been ordering from here even before moving to San Carlos. I'm excited to try more of their crust and sauce options next time. This location also offers vegan cheese, which we really appreciate. The owner is kind, the workers are humble, and the service is consistently good. Pre-ordered on a Saturday with a 49er game happening that afternoon; the store wasn't busy at all (only 3 orders including mine on the screen) and the pizza was ready on-time. As I celebrate the 12 days of Christmas it was nice to see holiday decorations still up in the store. Lot of young people working at the store; maybe some remedial training would be warranted (e.g. a proper greeting for customers entering the store) but they were attentive to my initial query when I entered. Still it's good to see a business hiring local teens. As for the pizza: I ordered 2 XL, one was the all-meat with a few additional toppings and the other was a custom 3-topping pizza. I found online ordering easy and the website lists the specials available for the particular store, if not applicable nation-wide. Overall the pizza was very good: the dough was cooked properly, and the amount of toppings covering the pizza was good. The amount of cheese on the pizza, which can be an issue with chains especially, was fine though the taste can be obscured when the pizza is topping-heavy. I have ordered pizza from one of the stores in SJ not long ago, so based on these two experiences Pizza Guys would definitely be in consideration next time I have a pizza craving. I don't know if coupons are common but there are some on the website, and you should definitely check out the specials there. Note: wrt website orders, removing toppings from a specialty pizza does not reduce the overall price, and there are no free "substitutions" - additional toppings are charged as such even if you have removed some, so keep this in mind if you customize any specialty pizzas. They also have that special for pickup orders, free 2L soda (Pepsi products) for orders over $25. (If you make use of the Pizza Guys website, which I believe is rather user-friendly ) The store faces the rear parking lot so park there instead of on El Camino Real, it's a small lot but not filled when I went. read more

I needed to buy 20 pizzas for an evening event. I called Pizza Guys the evening before. The employee I spoke to answered my questions about sizes and prices. He said I could place the order with him or through the app. I ultimately went through the app because there was a 30% off coupon. The delivered outside of San Carlos, so that was a plus. The delivery was ahead of schedule, and the driver followed directions. The pizzas were fresh and tasty. If you've ever ordered from Calzone life anywhere in the Bay Area thru DoorDash know that it's always from a Pizza Guys location nearby. This is how I found this pizza chain and I'm glad that I did. From Calzones to Pizzas I've never had any bad experience with these guys. The crust is always golden brown and never burnt with the cheese just slightly melted to give it that stringy consistency. Whenever ordering from them I would suggest going thru their website rather than doordash/ubereats since they often have discounts or promos available and have more customizations as well read more

Ordered late night pizza delivery and was not disappointed. Prices are a bit steep but that seems to be power for the course now. I chose the create your own and selected XL size. Unlike most pizza places they were generous with toppings. I chose grilled chickenn and pineapple. I have lost count of how many times I order pizza with pineapple and it arrives only to be lucky to have 1-2 pieces of pineapple per slice. This was not the case and the added BBQ drizzle was the bomb. Delivery was quick and professional and the ingredients felt fresh and the pizza simply looked good enough to eat, which is not always the case. Would definitely order from them again!!! read more

So glad I came across Pizza Guys, this place did not disappoint! We ordered through door dash for pick up, got the garlic rolls & a stuffed crust pepperoni pizza. The garlic rolls are a 5/5, lightly crusted on the outside, soft & creamy on the inside & with the right amount of garlic. I will definitely be back for those. The pizza itself was a 4/5 the stuffed crust was a little too much for me but my partner loved it. I'll definitely be ordering regular price next time. A few things that fell short from a 5 star experience was more of the food experience. Some of the appetizers were just okay and the branzino entree wasn't fully deboned. My ratings for dinner - - Montepulciano and Red Blend 5/5 - beautiful aroma and taste - Focaccia Bread and Herb Butter 5/5 - calamari 3/5 - tasted a little bland, however the dipping sauce complimented it well - Brussels sprouts 3/5 - it came with pork and Gorgonzola cheese, which was unexpected. We don't eat pork so I ate around it. - Bistecca entree 3/5 - steak was good but my boyfriend mentioned that the steak didn't look rested after it was cooked. The green beans were the best! But the French fries had a lot of grease. - Branzino 3/5 - I think if I didn't find 5 bones while I was eating, the rating would have been higher. The salad was delicious though! I think we will try this restaurant again. Maybe try different appetizers such as the burrata or fava bean & broccoli rabe OR just stick with the focaccia bread! For entrees we will probably try a pasta and pizza instead.
