I ordered a pizza online for my child's class party and came in to pick it up. When I arrived, the cashier couldn't find my order and called the manager/owner for assistance. The owner quickly discovered that I had accidentally placed the order at a different location in another city. Even though the mistake was mine, he was incredibly understanding and helpful. He suggested that I call the other location to cancel the order and then gave me a cheese pizza that was already in the oven so I wouldn't have to wait another 20-30 minutes to feed a group of hungry kids. The pizza was fresh, piping hot, and delicious--not overly salty like some pizzas can be. The crust was perfectly baked and not burnt. I was impressed that a pizza that was already in the oven came out tasting so fresh and well-made and how fast I got it! Hands down one of the freshest pizzas I've ever had. Im not too big on pizza chains and waffle from Round Table to Mountain Mikes when I have a craving, but man this specific Pizza Guys hits. Let's start off with the staff in particular. This Pizza Guys is run by a sweet little family and they're always so prompt and professional. I never had to wait for my pizza when I pick it up or deal with a late delivery. In fact food is piping hot even if I swing by to grab it early. Also Vi who runs the cash register is super nice and Derek always knows how to make my pizza right. It's always super consistent and super fresh. Oh and if you get Huan as your delivery person, def give him a shoutout and a nice tip! The guy works so hard trying to get all those orders to people on time. Service aside? I normal build my own pizza. Since they have gluten free dough I opt for that as my base, add pesto as my sauce with mozzarella cheese, parmesan, italian sausages, spinach, basil and sea salt. We were staying at the Homewood Suites on a Saturday night and didn't feel like leaving the hotel for dinner. Since we had a late lunch we opted for chicken wings from Pizza Gus in San Carlos. I placed an online order. The delivery fee was $5.50 which was a great deal since we didn't have to leave the hotel. I had called the business to confirm my order since my phone was acting weird after I placed the order. The person that answered the phone was very nice and confirmed they had received it. Pre-ordered on a Saturday with a 49er game happening that afternoon; the store wasn't busy at all (only 3 orders including mine on the screen) and the pizza was ready on-time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As I celebrate the 12 days of Christmas it was nice to see holiday decorations still up in the store.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lot of young people working at the store; maybe some remedial training would be warranted (e.g. a proper greeting for customers entering the store) but they were attentive to my initial query when I entered. Still it's good to see a business hiring local teens. As for the pizza: I ordered 2 XL, one was the all-meat with a few additional toppings and the other was a custom 3-topping pizza. I found online ordering easy and the website lists the specials available for the particular store, if not applicable nation-wide. Overall the pizza was very good: the dough was cooked properly, and the amount of toppings covering the pizza was good. The amount of cheese on the pizza, which can be an issue with chains especially, was fine though the taste can be obscured when the pizza is topping-heavy. I have ordered pizza from one of the stores in SJ not long ago, so based on these two experiences Pizza Guys would definitely be in consideration next time I have a pizza craving. I don't know if coupons are common but there are some on the website, and you should definitely check out the specials there. Note: wrt website orders, removing toppings from a specialty pizza does not reduce the overall price, and there are no free "substitutions" - additional toppings are charged as such even if you have removed some, so keep this in mind if you customize any specialty pizzas. They also have that special for pickup orders, free 2L soda (Pepsi products) for orders over $25. (If you make use of the Pizza Guys website, which I believe is rather user-friendly ) The store faces the rear parking lot so park there instead of on El Camino Real, it's a small lot but not filled when I went. read more

From Calzones to Pizzas I've never had any bad experience with these guys. The crust is always golden brown and never burnt with the cheese just slightly melted to give it that stringy consistency.
