Quite delicious across the board. Favs were the seasonal spring asparagus salad, maitake mushrooms, Korean fried chicken sliders and lemon dessert. The lasagna was probably the best vegan lasagna I've ever had but still just a good lasagna at the end of the day, not a new elevated taste. The risotto hit super unique and I've never had anything like it - I'm not sure it was for me though with the sweet bbq apples. Food came out consistently fast and perfect. I'd say across the board maybe $3-$4 dollars too expensive for each dish given portion sizes. But fairly minor in the grand scheme. HUGE place. Gorgeous. Really well decorated, vibes are immaculate. Good outdoor space. Loved the chefs counter to watch the masters at work.

The service was slightly off for my one experience. By that I mean drinks from drink pairing didn't come out on time and some things were just a little slow. BUT server was super nice and fun. Foo was phenomenal. For everything being plant based... it was intriguing to see and taste what concoction a chef can come up with. Everything was delicious and one dish had a mole ( I was worried cuz I hate most mole) , but this one was VERY well done and delicious. The space is OPEN, airy, vibrant, earthy, beautiful with gorgeously high ceilings and beautiful lighting. Def recommend the tasting menu and cocktail pairing. Because.... It's affordable, and you get things to eat that are not on the menu for everyone else. It's the experience. Def enjoyable.

Vegan food and I have come a long way. And Twelvemonth proves vegan food itself has come a long way. I remember going to a vegan place with my mom as a child and they put alfalfa sprouts on everything. I remember eating carob candy. It was bitter, so not chocolate! For years, all my associations were with bland, not so appealing food. Well, Twelvemonth brings the flavor. They bring the texture. Most of all they bring the creativity. The potion sizes are generous and lend themselves to sharing, which we did. We had a starter, a salad, and a pasta. The standout dish was the Campanelle. The presentation was gorgeous and screamed spring. It had English peas, pickled mushrooms, green garlic, spring onion. It melted in your mouth and the morels were plentiful. Our appetizer was the Iacopi Farms Italian Butter Beans, whipped with rosemary, garlic confit, and chili and fennel seed oil. It was served with two pieces of toasted sourdough. We really needed three pieces. We ended up ordering another side of sourdough to mop up all that creamy goodness. It was garlic forward, which was fine by me. We had the Tea Party Salad which had frisee & fava leaves, spring crudites, strawberries, lavender lemon dressing, and rose almonds. It was well-balanced for the most part, but I wanted more strawberry to tackle the bitter greens. We added crispy tofu, which I recommend. We got the smaller portion, and it was huge. The restaurant is spacious and well-appointed, with high ceilings and exposed brick. The seating, at least the booths, is plush. The plants are real. The overall vibe is very California and very relaxing. Service was wonderful. The staff is attentive and allows you to dine at your own pace. Their only stumble was dessert. We tried the Tahini cake. It had good flavor but was so dense I couldn't eat much. The matcha ice cream and brittle were really good though. I blame the gluten free aspect of it. This was truly a lovely dining experience. You will be wowed and you won't miss the meat. Highly recommended!

This is my 3rd time here and this season's food selection was absolutely delicious. Some dishes from prior experiences tasted okay, but this time 90% of what we got were packed with flavor! While eating the sliders and lasagna, I also forgot we were in a 100% plant-based restaurant. Highly recommend: -asparagus salad app, roasted beets app; -lasagna, risotto, and campanelle mains. Skip the falafel plate (kind of dry). Dessert options were also okay from today's and prior experiences. The exterior and interior decor are beautiful, making this restaurant a great choice for occasions. Service has always been very friendly. Total for our party of 6 splits to $85/pp, and I think half of us were filled. Small eaters and those on diets may be satisfied with the fairly small portions, but big eaters/ayce chasers, and athletes will mostly likely not get their fill. However, I come here to celebrate special occasions with good company, not to get the best value for food volume, and it has always been a great experience.

I am not a vegan but this place was really good! I really enjoyed the crispy mushroom and the tofu curry. It is a little bit on the pricier side, but they have really good options for food and drinks. Definitely recommend trying it out if you are in Burlingame.

First time coming here; kept hearing about it from Nextdoor or Reddit. My husband , in honor of the Hindu gods he prays to, he eats only vegetarian food on Tuesdays so he suggested this place. Food: bomb dot com! Yummy and served in a nice visual style. Ambiance: whoa . Rustic Meets style. Service: efficient and friendly staff. Kept on making sure we were okay. thank you I!

Great food! The servers are helpful and the ambiance is lovely. Beautiful building with multiple spaces indoor and outdoor. Can be fancy or casual!

Dessert presents in the most clever fashion I've ever seen, and oh soooooo good! This was the aptly-named Potted Pudding.

A great restaurant with awesome ambiance, stellar food, and wonderful service--what's not to love? Even those that are not informed of the health and moral benefits of plant-based meals will find the food here to be out of this world in taste and flavor! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

4/4/2026 Sat Dinner Absolutely beautiful interior, high ceiling, warm, polished, and stylish decor. Service was on point as well, very friendly and attentive. The menu features a fusion of various global cuisines, reflecting a diverse, cross-cultural approach to the dishes. Tasted ok not exceptional. Ordered: - CRISPY MAITAKE MUSHROOMS (8/10) hot nash seasoning, pickles, whipped ranch / $15 - ASPARAGUS SALAD (8/10) avocado, broccoli purée, toum, sesame mayo, pickled radish, mandarin, taro crisp, hazelnut, green onion oil, micro cilantro / $22 - COCONUT CURRY (7/10) grilled tofu, maitake, celery root, daikon, carrot, snow peas, plantain chips, thai chili oil, fresh herbs, jasmine rice / $32 - FALAFEL PLATE hummus, green tahini, cucumber salad, baharat spice, pita / $26 - dessert TAHINI CAKE / $15 (6/10) nutty tahini cake, strawberries, matcha ice cream

Really large and beautiful restaurant located in burlingame with tons of seats. Pros Really beautiful decor. Great for dates office events etc. Well made with seperate sections for alcohol, dinner, team events, bakery. Nice dinnerware & seats. Cons It wasn't apparent that this is a vegan only place with a good wine selection. In vegan food some of the sauces tend to use seed oils as a substitute, the taste of raw seed oil was bit too overwhelming in a few preparations. Food wasn't as flavourful

Amazing ambiance. Loved the holiday decor. The place is huge inside, the entrance is kind of deceiving. Food and service were also top notch. I wish the place was closer to my house so that I could go here more often. We order off from the brunch menu and bar menu. Glad that bar menu is all day. Impossible gochujang sliders were yummm!

Came here for appetizers and cocktails and loved the vibe! Wish I took photos because the inside is gorgeous! The patio is huge, dog-friendly (we brought 3 pups), and well set up with heaters and umbrellas. Cocktails were delicious and we love that everything is vegan, which made it easy for our group since some of us have limitations. A bit pricey, but worth it for the ambiance. Also, their beignets/ malasada dessert was bomb! Only reason for 4 stars is one cocktail came out super late, after we almost finished our apps and everyone else had finished their drinks. Still would come back to try a full meal and give them another try!

Nice place, cool vibe, very hip! Vegan Menu which I was OK with! Had the impossible chicken sliders Good flavor could have had more cabbage! Sat at the bar! Service wasn't great had to ask for utensils twice after I received my food !

    Ask the Community - Twelvemonth

    Are there gluten free options?

They have many. BUT. I am not bothered by gluten so I am not sure of all those options.

    What time is happy hour?

Happy hour is 2pm - 5pm daily in the bar! We just launched our "all day menu" which includes a lot of the bar and dining room fan favorites that can enjoyed all day long in our bar and lounge areas and the dining room for lunch.

Are dogs welcome on the patio? If my son orders from the kids menu, would the prix fixe special lunch menu still be available to the adult diners at the table? Would love to make a reservation to celebrate my upcoming birthday if family friendly!

Yep, we’re dog-friendly on the patio! Kids under 12 can order from the kids menu if the rest of the group is doing the prix fixe. Just a heads-up: for large parties at dinner, we do have a per-person minimum, no matter the age.

I see you offer a $50 Prix fixe menu. Is that every day?

Last time I dined here, that was the case. You can order the tasting menu or from the regular menu.

    What are the bakehouse hours?

    Thursday through Sunday 8am - 2pm.

Is there wifi at this location?

    We do not, unfortunately!

Do you have any gluten free options on your menu ? Thank you

We do! Our servers are well versed on the menu and can help you choose/ modify options that can accommodate your diet as needed.

Will you be open for Christmas? Thank you.

We will be closed on Christmas. But we will reopen on the 26th.

Are you still open for breakfast on the weekends and will you turn on the outdoor heaters if it's cold?

Hi there! We aren’t open for brunch just yet. We are open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday 11 to 2 with dinner service 5 to 9pm. For chillier days, we will either close the patio or utilize the heat lamps!

Is there happy hour? If so, what days and times?

Hi there! We don't have a happy hour, but our bar hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

    Is there a corkage fee?

There is a $20 corkage fee per 750ml bottle

Can we bring a cake to celebrate a birthday?

Yes! We request if the cake isn’t vegan you let our staff know so we can prevent cross contamination. The fee is $3.50 / person.

Looks beautiful and fancy. Would this be the kind of restaurant we could pop into after our grandson's baseball game or would we have to go home and change?

    Come as you are!

Reservations? Is this an all vegan restaurant?

Hi there! Yes the entire restaurant is vegan. We use the term "plant-based" to foster a more inclusive feel for guests who prefer to eat all kinds of different diets.

    Is their pasta gluten free?

Our menu changes seasonally. However, while we do have gluten free options, every pasta may not be gluten free. Our main focus will always be plant-based ingredients.

Do you serve wine and mixed alcoholic drinks?

We currently have a curated list of mocktails, cocktails, beer and wine. Once we open the entire restaurant, we will offer a full bar!

One of the things that happened when I visited this bar was I asked for a simple lemonade. The reason was because I had a soccer game the next day and I didn't want to drink alcohol and I wanted to get some electrolytes in me. It would have been very simple for the bartender to just say, "I'm sorry we don't serve lemonade." Instead what he did is say I worked here 20 years and he never served lemonade and then kept scoffing at me. He kept saying this three times, walking back and forth, up until the point the patron next to me even said, "Don't worry about him." After that without even me talking to him, he said, "Who orders lemonade at an Irish pub?" Then without me saying anything, he said, "No one orders lemonade at an Irish pub." I was honestly just trying to get a drink and he made me feel very dumb. Overall if a patron asks you for a drink, it's very easy just to say, "I'm sorry we can't do that," but he kept making me feel like an idiot. I was also surprised they did not serve lemonade; that's a very simple request. He didn't offer any alternatives except for 7-Up, which I didn't really want but paid for anyway. I ended up not drinking it even after I paid for it and leaving the bar. I guess the bartender got what he wanted. He gave me a drink that was other than lemonade; he made me pay for it and I just left the bar unhappy. I would highly recommend against visiting this establishment, especially with the grumpy bartender. He is an older white Irish guy. I understand they might have your own customers at the bar but I think it costs nothing to treat patrons with respect and not tell them that they're stupid for asking for a drink. Overall I would not recommend this place at all. Very enforced error. Sad!

Walked into what is clearly a local institution - the kind of place where regulars know the staff's kids' names. Weekday evening crowd skewed silver-haired, which in my experience is always a good omen. These people have been eating out for decades - they know where the bodies are buried and where the good food is. Server was legitimately excellent. Paced the order so apps didn't collide with entrees - a simple move that most places fumble. Checked in without hovering. Knew the menu cold. Then this happened: I asked for a Pliney. He asked, "Elder or Younger?" That's when I had to pause. In all my years of ordering Plineys, no one has ever asked me that. Because no one has ever randomly had Pliney the Younger on tap. These guys did - apparently a locally advertised special that had been going on that day. They had a Keg of this rare stuff, and it was depleting quickly. I got the Younger on repeat till I was barely stumbling out of the place. Life is good. Ordered the Cheesesteak and it was legit - not playing around. The family went burgers, hot dogs, and wings. Zero complaints across the board. Bar fare done right, priced right, with zero pretension. Sometimes the best finds are the ones you didn't plan for.

American Bull is a solid sports bar serving up refreshing drinks and tasty food! This recent trip…read morewas actually my second time here, though the first time feels like forever ago (some time pre-pandemic). LOCATION: Its home is within the Burlingame Plaza, next door to a Lunardi's grocery store. It's located directly across from the Mills-Peninsula Medical Center on the corners of Trousdale and El Camino Real. PARKING: There generally is enough parking, though you may have to walk a bit further depending on the time of day and how busy it is. The lot and area seem safe, even at night when other things in the shopping center have closed down. INSIDE: We went on a Sunday evening, around 6pm to watch the Sunday Night Football game. It was actually pretty busy, though there was some bar and highboy seating as well as a couple tables still available. We went with the traditional table because the older we get, the more we appreciate back support. There are TVs EVERYWHERE. Most of the walls are lined with TVs, playing a variety of sports, but mostly whatever's local or the "main game". It's also pretty loud-you're still able to have a conversation amongst a smaller group of people, but you definitely have to be listening intently. There is a lot of cool, mostly local, sports memorabilia. They have a whole Giants corner, in addition to lots of Niners autographed jerseys, helmets, and footballs. There's also a wall with dozens of autographed baseballs. We took some time to look at the names, and noticed the likes of Mickey Mantle, Willie McCovey, and plenty of other Hall of Famers! DRINKS: Their drink menu consists of 10+ white wine, 6 red wine, and 2 sparkling wine options available by the glass or the bottle. They have bottled beer (domestic, imports, and microbrew) and cans (White Claw, High Noon, Wyder's Pear Cider, Ace Joker apple cider, and Guinness). They also have a couple non-alcoholic beer options, and other non-alcoholic options (coffee, tea, Pepsi products, juice, and Arnold Palmers). They also have over a dozen beers on tap, as well as a full bar that can provide shots and likely make most cocktails. Prices for most drinks are actually quite reasonable for the area--on par with a sports bar more than a fancy restaurant. FOOD: Their menu is surprisingly big for what seems to be a shopping center sports bar. For apps, they have a lot of typical bar food options (fries, onion rings, potato skins, mozzarella sticks, wings, chicken tenders, sliders, quesadillas, tacos, and even Lumpia). There is a section with half a dozen tasty sounding salads, available in full or half sized portions. There is also a separate section for their chili, which is served in a cup or bowl, with shredded cheese, chopped onion, sour cream, and fresh jalapenos. The sandwich portion of the menu runs 10+ deep with options such as burgers, a patty melt, Philly cheese steak, grilled and Buffalo fried chicken, salmon, BLT, and even a hotdog or polish dog (technically not a sandwich)! The entree section has some bangers too, with items like BBQ ribs, NY steak, grilled or blackened salmon, linguini, chicken parm, ravioli, and meatballs. I love that this section has an Italian flair, and want to come back to try things like the chicken parm! This most recent trip we went with friends and split a few things amongst the groups. I got the patty melt, with a side of chili. The melt was solid, not spectacular. I would have liked the grilled onions cooked a little more. The chili was also good, not great. We got all the accoutrements on the side, which allowed us to try it on its own first, then add as we go. Our friends ordered a Chinese chicken salad, and a burger basket with onion rings. They both finished their meals and noted that they enjoyed them! OVERALL: While this is basically a bar, it's also a restaurant. There were several children under the age of 10 running around screaming that were part of larger groups. Not sure if there's a specific time when minors are no longer allowed? The service was friendly enough, and the bathrooms were clean when we went. This is for sure a great spot to grab a drink, bite to eat, and watch a sports game or 3! IG: @bbnem.eats

If it was that long of a wait without many people in the store, I wonder how hectic it would be when people started flooding in. When we left at 6:30, the line was out the door. So again, COME EARLY! The oysters were medium-small and very fresh. Some of the oysters had chunks of ice on it from the ice layer. It came with cocktail sauce, mignonette, and a soy sauce with green onions. You can grab Tapatio and Tabasco on the counter. Personally, I didn't like the soy sauce because it amplified the fishy taste of the oysters. I enjoyed the cocktail sauce with a hint of horseradish, as well as the mignonette with the crunchy onions. Lemon squeezes are a must although I wish they gave us more. I ate a dozen while my friend ate two dozen. I was very satisfied with this happy hour. The cleanliness of the store was good although sometimes trays of oysters would be left out for a long time. The customer service was super friendly. It seems like a decent place for poke as well beyond their oysters. The taro chips looked really good; I almost got one. The decor was quirky and overall, it was a casual vibe inside this shop. I feel like you can't beat $1 oysters (that were fresh and perfectly sized). I'd make the trek here again.

I only had the fries, but they were fire--definitely a good sign for the rest of the menu. They also nailed the Guinness pour--clean lines, creamy, and really good. I'll definitely be back to try more of the food.
