The restaurant is a little secluded. Ordered some breakfast for the family last weekend, and they are good. Pancakes are huge, so 2 of my boys shared one order. CJ's was a great choice for a delicious and hearty breakfast. The food is unpretentious and well crafted. We had the Monte Cristo, a side of biscuits and sausage gravy and a Ruben. We even had a table side visit from the owner. Totally worth the visit. read more

Absolutely fabulous local breakfast. Great service, great food. They have a sit at bar with over 25 personal mugs for regulars, and locals come in and sit and genuinely talk. All this and a great monte christo sandwich too. Kept my coffee cup filed and hot. Just excellent. read more

This is a nice little diner that serves breakfast and lunch. We had lunch and it was great. The CJ special burger i had was delicious. The burger itself was hand made and not a perfectly shaped frozen patty. The onion rings were crisp outside and the onion was soft but still with texture. Good food and really nice staff! read more

Looked up this neighborhood restaurant for breakfast out. It was a great local gem! Everyone dining there seemed to be local retirees and knew the service staff. Breakfast was delicious, came quickly with generous portions and fair prices. We tried the orange and apple juice (the small is easily 12-14 oz with the large being a large water beverage glass for $4!). For breakfast we are the waffle, side of bacon (4 delicious crispy salty pieces), the vegetable omelette with hash browns and added sliced avocado (delicious!), two eggs breakfast with hash browns, and toast, and bagel and lox (very generous portion!). I came in with high expectations after a few coworkers recommended I come here for lunch. Service was extremely slow and servers weren't very friendly. My server brought my water, walked away, and took close to 20 minutes for me to get her attention and take my order (they weren't that busy fyi). I was on my lunch break so I was unable to try the fried chicken that everybody recommended. I figured I'd order chicken strips and fries since almost half of my break had already passed at this point. The chicken strips tasted like they were frozen and store bought. They were flimsy and lacked flavor and my side of coleslaw tasted stale. The environment didn't feel warm and inviting for a new patron like myself. After watching their servers interact with customers for a while, it seemed like they mostly try to cater and please the regulars who eat there. I always try to find the positive in every dining experience, but I honestly did not enjoy my visit here. I don't think I will be coming back after this experience. After reading reviews from other unhappy customers, it seems like management's response to everything is an excuse. How can you repeatedly reply "thank you for your comment" and not apologize for the customer's inconvenience? Someone found a plastic bread tie in their food and no apology was issued to the customer, just the "ask us to remake it" spiel. We shouldn't have to "share our concerns" or ask to have food remade to begin with... read more

The eggs were cooked good but I asked for crispy hash browns and they did not come crispy. The omelet was tiny and looked old. The cheese omelette was a cheese omelette. Exactly what you would expect. It was nothing special. The service was awesome though. Definitely top 10% service out of all the restaurants I've been to. Waitress kept checking in frequently and was prompt in every way, from the food, to the water to the check. As soon as I put my knife down a gentleman was there to clear the table. I come here every time I stay at the Marriott Villas. CJS is the closest reasonably priced breakfast place and the food is pretty good. It's located in an industrial center. Parking is easy. The restaurant itself is a little divey diner, nothing special. Today I got the Polish Sausage and Eggs which came with hash brown and toast. I also ordered banana pecan pancakes which were good. Others at my table got the breakfast burrito and Corned Beef Hash and Eggs. Typical breakfast food at a good price. read more
