AKWAYS THE BEST Antonio IS the epitome of excellence & the menu is not stagnant..best!!

The food is really good here and the service is excellent. We had the Florentine eggs and Denver omelette and both were delicious. They offer cappuccinos, lattes and mimosas on their drinks menu. PS The view is a big plus read more

My mom & dad, first snowbirds and now permanent desert residents, first took me to CJ's many years ago. It was an instant favorite with me. Now that my wife and I are full time in the desert, we get to go to CJ's regularly. I can't say enough about this cozy, family run restaurant. Everyone who works there is always warm and welcoming, and we look forward to seeing them. The food is fantastic. My wife loves their huevos ranchero for breakfast or lunch. My favorite lunch is the soup/half sandwich combination which never disappoints. Today I had the Turkey/Swiss/Bacon melt with albondigas. Delicious! Also try the reuben or the tuna melt. For breakfast, omelettes and pancakes are out of this world. We go at least once a week, probably more when the weather is cooler as we enjoy sitting outside on the porch. We always love it. read more

If your on a budget and do not want to drive thru for breakfast this is the place to go. The owner is hands on and makes sure if you have special dietary needs he will make sure you get it your way. Kids breakfast was reasonable I had a great veggi omlet. I love to support small businesses it's the heart of America. So when given the opportunity to either choose Franchise or small business I choose small business owners every time. read more

We came in today to enjoy some lunch and didn't know where to eat, I ordered a grilled chicken avocado club and substituted the cheese for cheddar cheese, the fries and the chicken were amazing! With a side of ranch and it's exactly the ranch you want when you eat it with your fries, she ordered the burger and it was also really good! Good quality meat and the onion rings are cooked to perfection! To top it off the owners wife came and greeted us and her and CJ himself were both here at the restaurant, great vibes! Great food, I really recommend it for a breakfast and brunch place, I haven't tried the breakfast yet but if it's anything like the lunch it's amazing! read more

Best kept breakfast secret! This great locals place is tucked and hidden away from crowded downtown. We did not have to wait for a table on a holiday Weekend. The good: -We were seated right away -Server is nice The not-so-good: -My French dip meat had cold spots (means it was microwaved) -Found a plastic bread tie in the gravy (see pic) -Overheard the server talk about a long hair in a cobb salad someone sent back -Philly cheese steak was dry (probably also nuked) Bleh read more

My wife and I come to Palm Desert often and we were looking for a different place for breakfast. We decided to try CJ's. What a excellent choice. We sat outside, even met CJ himself and were treated to a GREAT breakfast! They are only open till 2 pm but after eating here, you can understand why. They have not only a great breakfast selection, they offer a fantastic lunch menu. Excellent prices, food, atmosphere and professional service! Again, a MUST VISIT this restaurant, you will come back! read more

Great food and fast service! A very nice menu to chose from! Owners are very nice and accommodating!

The food was delicious. Actually, everything but the stale fries was delicious. We ordered a big delivery and A) it took forever to get here. The guy got lost, and instead of calling me for directions, he just drove around so our food was cold. B) the food was expensive. $14.20 for a burger & fries with a drink is ridiculous. And finally C) there was a damn piece of paper in my burger. It was like the separator for the cheese or the meat. All I know is that I ate a piece of it and it was a mess trying to pull it out. Food is great, but eat there. Do not do delivery, and watch out for pieces of paper. read more

Food was really really good. Prices were affordable and they accommodated my larger than normal party. Unfortunately the service was bad. The waitress seemed like we were a nuisance and barely ever checked on us. Messed up a few orders and we didn't eat together due to them fixing some and others coming out perfect. I'd go back but if the service is bad again I won't return read more

I just had the blackened shrimp tacos for lunch and it was fantastic. The tacos were incredibly tasty, the fries were hot and crisp and the coleslaw was delicious. The service was outstanding and the entire staff was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back. read more

An American diner situated in an industrial park. They were extremely busy on a Sunday, but fortunately there was one last table that 5 of us sat at for breakfast. Ample menu choices with all the familiar breakfast fare. I had bacon and eggs and asked for hashbrowns to be crispy well done. They looked great when they arrived, but they were only cooked on one side, so it was a mix of crispy and mush. My other half had chicken fried steak and eggs. It looked great, not a very large portion, but tasty. The staff kept all our beverages topped off. Service was slow both to get waited on in the first place, to a long wait for food from the kitchen. Staff was trying though, and did their best. They were probably short a person, which is becoming more and more common in the industry. Comments on our food.....eggs were all done exactly as asked, bacon was crispy, as asked, All in all it ticked all the boxes for a decent diner breakfast, with a friendly staff. read more

This place was close to where we are staying. Staff was friendly and attentive. I had an issue with my soda and they were so nice about it. Didn't make me feel bad and wanted me to be happy. Food was fast. The waitress even made a suggestion on how to save us some money based on what we were ordering. It is obviously a local place. It was clean and good. The price is good. We enjoyed our breakfast and we would come back if in the area. read more

We very much recommend this for a low key brunch. We read that A lot of yelpers liked Monte Cristo, pancakes, French toast, and Ruben. However, i did not realize that Monte Cristo is only served on weekends. So I went with pecan and banana pancakes (one of the specials) with a side of bacon and hashbrown. I liked my pancake really; the pancakes here was good size but not as fluffy as I'd like. They were definitely generous of pecan and banana. Hubby got the Reuben; and he loved it (he is a Reuben critic, by the way). Perfect ratio between meat, cheese, dressing and kraut. Bread was buttery but not greasy. Totally recommended. It came with a side of "shoestring fries" but those were really just fast food French fries from the food distributor. On the whole, we enjoyed our brunch. read more

Food was good. A little expensive but worth every penny. Our actual server was a little inattentive but Helen (I believe that's her name) was phenomenal. We had a couple of over hungry fussy little boys and she was so patient and kind with them which put us at ease. We're not from around here but if we are ever looking for a breakfast place in Palm Desert again we will be back. read more

Just had breakfast this morning, with my friends. Ordered Eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon. The muffin was thin and flat. Canadian bacon was a very thin slice. The Hollandaise sauce lacked flavor, and was a skimpy serving on top of each egg. Disappointed with this breakfast. If I was eating by myself would have changed to another Menu item. Just fyi. read more

super disappointed. After reading their Yelp and seeing monte cristos, we waited until Saturday to go in to get them. We are here for Stagecoach and when we arrived and were seated, found that they have a consolidated menu due to the festival goers. so, instead of a monte cristo I just got a side of hashbrowns and an egg over medium, which came out hard. hashbrowns were soggy. we also waited 35 minutes for our breakfast to come out. didn't see the server again after receiving our food. overall, super disappointed in this breakfast. I suggested it due to Yelp and am a foodie so just not thrilled at all. read more

Great food and fast service. Our waitress, Alyssa, was super nice. It's a very nice breakfast place with a family-owned feel. I recommend!

Came here for breakfast. The food was awesome, kids had the Kids Pancake meal which was the perfect amount. I had the Lox and Bagel and husband had Chorizo and Eggs. All was delicious! This past weekend my husband and I came across this AWESOME diner. We were actually headed somewhere else when we saw their sign. We were AMAZED at how friendly they were, the social distancing that was implemented and how delicious their food was. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners daughter Rose.... she was so appreciative of our business and nice words. Our waitress Veronica was one of the most polite ladies I have ever met! Very impressed!!! We will 10000% be returning to CJ's and referring everyone we know. Thank you guys for being open and safely serving the community! read more

Me and my girlfriend came to CJs due to the good reviews, I ordered the chorizo breakfast plate, it was good, I enjoyed it. It was probably the smallest portion of food I have ever received at a restaurant if I'm being completely honest. Like i was shocked at how small the portion was I ordered two small pancakes on the side to make up for this small portion dilemma, two small pancakes was 9.95 plus my 11.95 chorizo breakfast Food was awesome, portion for the price wasn't to great in my honest opinion. read more
