Just had breakfast this morning, with my friends. Ordered Eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon. The muffin was thin and flat. Canadian bacon was a very thin slice. The Hollandaise sauce lacked flavor, and was a skimpy serving on top of each egg. Disappointed with this breakfast. If I was eating by myself would have changed to another Menu item. We very much recommend this for a low key brunch. We read that A lot of yelpers liked Monte Cristo, pancakes, French toast, and Ruben. However, i did not realize that Monte Cristo is only served on weekends. So I went with pecan and banana pancakes (one of the specials) with a side of bacon and hashbrown. I liked my pancake really; the pancakes here was good size but not as fluffy as I'd like. They were definitely generous of pecan and banana. Hubby got the Reuben; and he loved it (he is a Reuben critic, by the way). Perfect ratio between meat, cheese, dressing and kraut. Bread was buttery but not greasy. Totally recommended. It came with a side of "shoestring fries" but those were really just fast food French fries from the food distributor. On the whole, we enjoyed our brunch. read more

super disappointed. After reading their Yelp and seeing monte cristos, we waited until Saturday to go in to get them. We are here for Stagecoach and when we arrived and were seated, found that they have a consolidated menu due to the festival goers. so, instead of a monte cristo I just got a side of hashbrowns and an egg over medium, which came out hard. hashbrowns were soggy. we also waited 35 minutes for our breakfast to come out. didn't see the server again after receiving our food. overall, super disappointed in this breakfast. The food was delicious. Actually, everything but the stale fries was delicious. We ordered a big delivery and A) it took forever to get here. The guy got lost, and instead of calling me for directions, he just drove around so our food was cold. B) the food was expensive. $14.20 for a burger & fries with a drink is ridiculous. And finally C) there was a damn piece of paper in my burger. It was like the separator for the cheese or the meat. All I know is that I ate a piece of it and it was a mess trying to pull it out. Friends introduced us to this hidden gem in PD. We started with mimosas and then we split the delicious flaky homemade cinnamon roll. All of our dishes were very tasty. The outside patio was very pleasant especially with the humming birds nearby. We will definitely be back next time we're in town. read more

This past weekend my husband and I came across this AWESOME diner. We were actually headed somewhere else when we saw their sign. We were AMAZED at how friendly they were, the social distancing that was implemented and how delicious their food was. It was probably the smallest portion of food I have ever received at a restaurant if I'm being completely honest. Stopped in for breakfast last week. The place is in an industrial area which was a little unusual, but not a big deal. The restaurant inside is very dated, like it has remained untouched since the early 80's, again, not a big deal. Ours server (I wish I could remember her name), was friendly and did a very nice job. I ordered a pretty simple breakfast...scrambled eggs, 2 sausage patties and a waffle. Service was very fast - our food was out in about 3 minutes. Since it was a pretty basic order, they really couldn't mess it up. The eggs were a little greasy and the sausage patties were very thin; however, the waffle was very good! Price was reasonable too! Probably wouldn't make it a point to get back here, but okay in a pinch, I guess. read more

Found this diner while on vacation at the Marriott Desert Villas. Food was good, service was nice, but could have been a bit more attentive. But they were friendly. I have been going here for breakfast when I'm on vacation in Palm Desert. It is just about 2 blocks from the Marriott timeshare resorts, Desert Springs I & II, and JW Marriott Hotel. Parking is easy. Good food, we have always been able to get a table. Only improvement I would make is to get some good, stronger coffee. Like most restaurants, the coffee is not great. I love their food, and can't wait to go back again. I last visited in October 2017 with my daughter on our way to Phoenix. Highly recommended, give it a try. I have only had breakfast so I can't comment on lunch. Update Feb. 14, I look forward to trying the Espresso next visit. :-) read more

We chose this place because if was near the VA where I had a medical appointment, what a mistake. Walked in and it was busy, stood there for over 10 minutes while being ignored by the staff, no staff at the front door kiosk. Finally someone told us to choose a table. We did, another long wait, 5 minutes later a man & woman set down in the table next to us. They where handed a menu shortly after they sat down, 10 minutes later we got up and walked out, no service. My husband and I are not used to being discriminated against, maybe if one of us had tits we would have been served. Went to Don & Sweet Sue's in Cathedral City, where greeted at the door and a menu and coffee was poured within 5 minutes of entering. FYI, Don & Sweet Sue's is well known for their good food and awesome staff, CJ's Dinner should take a lesson from them in professionalism & customer care. read more
