The menu is huge and full of some classic dishes. They have a full bar so we started off with some drinks, I just went with wine today but my sister enjoyed an espresso martini. We were also brought out some fresh bread and butter and I may have over indulged. I knew I wanted to try the lobster bisque - a favorite of mine. It was served with a fried lobster ravioli on top. The soup was delicious and had an excellent depth of flavor, but I did find the ravioli to be a bit flavorless. I would order this again, or even try the New England chowder too. The entrees come with salad as well, they were bright and fresh and the dressings were great. Honestly, we both were so full by the time the entrees came, we barely touched them, but definitely took them home. The entree portions were huge. I ordered the Veal Milanese. The veal was pretty good, not as tender as I would usually expect, but it had good flavor. I love arugula too. The risotto was a miss for me, it seemed to be loaded with dried oregano, which didn't match the flavor profiles of the main entree and took away from the dish. This is a cute little hidden gem and with a menu that big, I wouldn't hesitate to return. Service was great and the ambiance is super homey.

It closed in 2019 before the pandemic, and reopened in 2022 under new ownership with a French-Italian inspired menu, with a dash of Cajun cuisine mixed in. My first couple experiences since it reopened were good, but a little confusing. The Italian and Cajun inspired dishes threw me off, mostly because I didn't understand the concept. I also popped by during Schenectady's first Tater Trot, where they made a delicious little potato puff, with a potato chip wedged on the top -- adorable and yummy. But last night my partner and I made reservations to try something new and really sit down for a good meal there -- we were not disappointed. As previously mentioned, the menu features a few different options, including a quick menu for Theater goers for around $50-55. There were four sections that each include a choice between two entrees, a starter salad, fresh warm bread, non-alcohol drink, and two desserts to choose from. The options vary from wild mushroom ravioli, to crab stuffed fish, and there was a gluten free and vegetarian options. The main menu had many other options, so I decided to start with the New England clam chowder, then the Chicken and Wild Mushroom Pappardelle, and ordered the Creme Brulee for dessert. My dish came with a starter salad and there was delicious warm table bread with whipped butter. The clam chowder came first and was delicious. Full of rich creamy flavor, nice chunks of pork, and of course beautifully tasty clams. I got the honey mustard dressing with my side salad and it was great with a subtle mustard taste, and I really appreciated they was they chopped down the cucumbers into small, thin, seedless slices and the tomato was diced into small 1/4 inch cubes, giving them an elegant and enjoyable texture element to an otherwise mundane dressing. The Chicken and Wild Mushroom Pappardelle was fantastic. It had a rich tasty tarragon cream sauce and great umami flavor. The pasta was rustic home made, cooked with perfect texture, and the mushrooms had the perfect bite. Truly an enjoyable dish. Finally, I ended with the Creme Brulee which blew us both away. The last time I had this dessert at a different restaurant, it was overcooked and not pleasant. But this one was flawless in both flavor and texture. Wonderful job! As for the atmosphere, it was just with you would hope. Calm, warm, inviting, and home-y. I believe there was very subtle music playing, and the seating was comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. They were extremely busy, and so we had to wait for a few things, but it wasn't terrible, nor was it through a neglect. They would check in regularly, and apologized for any delays. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be coming back. If you want to go to a French restaurant, but have additional delicious options, Chez Nous is definitely the right place!

Since my first experience, I've returned several times over the past year, and each visit has been consistently excellent. The cocktail menu is outstanding, with a great selection of creative drinks. Their espresso martinis have become a favorite for my friends and me during our girls' nights out. The food is just as impressive--the appetizers and entrées are rich, comforting, and full of flavor, with plenty of indulgent, cheesy options that never disappoint. One of my favorite places to dine is the Library at Backstage Pub. It offers a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes every visit feel special. A special thank you to Terry and the wonderful staff for their exceptional hospitality and consistently providing such a memorable dining experience. I always look forward to coming back.

I've had this place bookmarked for awhile and finally decided to give it a try. One of the reasons…read moreI kept putting it off was because I thought the menu didn't look much different from the typical pub fare in the area. But after eating there I found they have curated their own unique versions of the classics. We started with an order of 3's company wings which was a mixture of buffalo, garlic parm, and lemon pepper sauces. The sauce was pretty good but I like my wings crispy and these were not. For dinner I got the Backstage burger and upgraded to poutine fries. Now I'm not the biggest fan of a traditional poutine but I wanted to try it anyway because it looked good. The burger was cooked perfectly and the beef they use is very good. The poutine fries were enormous and apparently only half the size of a full order. If you like poutine you'll probably be into them but I thought the gravy was a little thick and not that flavorful and the cheese curds didn't melt as much as I would have liked. The real sleeper hit though was the Mac & Cheese. I wasn't expecting anything special and was pleasantly surprised. Definitely would come back for that. When we showed up it wasn't too busy but they were full by the time we left and I got the feeling that reservations are preferred.

The tavern has 2 rooms inside with seating for 15 at the bar. Inside is a combination of high tops and booths. Before we even sat, the server at the hostess stand seemed overwhelmed, even though the back room was nearly empty and most tables in the bar were empty, reserved for later. We had come before 5:30, knowing music started at 6, so it was not busy when we were seated. Then our server seemed overwhelmed from the get go. We ordered water and a couple of beers with an app from the specials menu, street corn dip. A different server brought the appetizer. The dip was good and the chips had a seasoning. We ordered the Brisket Sliders, the brisket was DELICIOUS. Best I've had locally in years. They were delivered by a different server. We finished our food, water and drinks. Sat for over 20 minutes with no contact. We would be a little more forgiving if it wasn't for the fact our waitress was serving a table to our right and never checked on us. We noticed that the servers had tables all over the place. Seemed like no rhyme or reason for table assignments. It got frustrating enough for us to go to the bar and order beers. The bartender Erin delivered us the beers we ordered . A few minutes laterour waitress came by and looked surprised we had drinks. We asked for water and the check. Food was delicious and music was great. Service was horrendous. It's too bad too. Hoping for a great night that turned frustrating. Would we come back? Maybe for takeout.

My wife had the hamburger quesadilla and she loved it. Both were hot and very good. The Tavern isn't huge, but it is cozy and this is what I'd call a Home Town Tavern.

This restaurant housed Pam's pub and was probably taken on by new management in the last year or so. Overall the place is a perfect place if you like to watch football. The place was packed with football enthusiasts watching the game, drinking beer, refilling popcorn and screaming as their team scores or messes up. This is a true American joint with typical American food. Wings were decent, quesadilla, macaroni salad and fries were great. I'm yet to eat the wrap as I was stuffed and had to bring it home. Overall a great place that's tucked away in a strip mall. Most of the seating is on bar stools with swivel chairs that actually gets you a better view of different games.
