Been here for years. But tonight was really bad. Everyone got their food but me. I ordered a chicken fried chicken. No salad served. It was my first time here! Walked in and they welcomed us right away! This place is in a small town right off the parkway! It is everyone favorite local place around there! I'm a huge burger fan! I got the bacon cheeseburger! It was really good. The bacon was cooked just right and it went really well with the condiments! My friend got a classic american cheeseburger! He told me he liked it a lot also! We also got some french fries! A size large is enough for the both of us! The only thing that I wish was different is that the fries had more seasoning. I use to live in the Sherman area and City Limits was one of my favorites. Returned 20 years later and the food is still great! We had one of our favorites-Turkey Tacos. Delicious! The chips and hot sauce is still one of my favorites. Can't wait to eat here again, hopefully will not be another 20 years. read more

This was the worst meal I have ever had in Grayson county!!!! They stoped serving the only thing on the menu that's worth ordering, then when I ordered my burger that was on the menu, they messed it up, had to send it back then when I got it back it sucked so bad I could not even eat it!!! Eddy Macs is 100% better and not over priced! Go to eddy macs if you want a good meal!!!ill never step foot in City Limits again! Again, seriously?? No one has reviewed City Limits?? This is a wonderful local place that is known for its chicken fried steak. My son had invited my SO up to have dinner there. We were all starving by the time that we got there. My SO said he'd seen me eat more that night that he'd ever seen me eat before! The chicken fried steak was great overall as was my baked potato! My salad would have been better if I'd not seen brown in my salad. We also got fried mushrooms and cheese sticks. I know, I know, not on plan by a long shot, but I so enjoyed it! Burgers and Fries are amazing, burgers are half lb burgers so for most people more than plenty! We had Stephanie as our server and she was beyond amazing! She was on top of all her tables, made great conversation, made our difficult orders seem simple lol and prices on everything were great. This place is my home away from home. I eat here about 2-3 times a week. Everything on the menu is fantastic!! There are many off-the-menu items that are amazing as well. Just ask any of the waitresses and they can tell you some of the off-the-menu items. If you get the queso, which is already delicious, have them add chili to it, and it makes it even better. I love the owners, and all the wait staff, and cooks. Great people, great service, great atmosphere, and best of all, great food!! read more

This is a great place for a fun American food experience. It's sort of typical bar food. Consistently good, but not necessarily great.

City limits is a diner drive inn dive they have really good food! Served on paper plates! Their chicken fried steak is so big it's hanging over the side of plate and everything else comes on another plate! You can guarantee cold air cold beer great service and good food! On the days Dallas Cowboys play it's a rocking good time.they have 20 Tv's and your sure to catch the game you want to see! They have a patio area for the over flow and your see anyone from the mayor to former Texas player to Ou players in there it's just one big ole family in there defiantly a family place! We love this place and have for many years. I would originally give it only 4 stars because of the heavy smoking in the front of the restaurant. But happy to say NO SMOKING allowed at all!!! WHOO-HOO HOO! I'm a happy gal now! Love the chicken quesadillas! We hold the onions and add jalapeños! We usually split an order (they are that big!). Margaritas are awesome! Somebody mentioned the Quesadilla's and enchiladas not on the menu. The key to dillas is getting them with buffalo sauce and the enchiladas with flour tortillas instead of corn..........HUGE difference. Both are delicious. read more

Came here for a celebration lunch and had ate outside. They have Shiner Bock on tap and my party had a few pitchers! All the food was well portioned. The Tasty big burgers were amazing! This was the first time I had fried pickles and they were excellent! The waitress was pretty prompt and courteous. Ordered the chips and queso the chips were good the queso and salsa lacked flavor. Both the salsa and queso lacked texture. Ordered a bltc with fries. Bacon was cooked perfect, but the bread was very soggy which made it hard to handle without it falling apart. The wait staff was the best part of the night, friendly and on point.
