The prices are not that affordable, for the lack of decor and the basic nature of the food the food is overpriced. We ordered an eggs benedict platter$17.25, 2 coffees $3 each and one single fried egg. On the menu, it clearly stated one extra egg ordered with a platter is $2. However, when I received the receipt it stated $4.30. I brought this up to the waitress. She says oh yeah I charged you for an egg sandwich. I questioned why as we did order a platter and it clearly stated $2 for an extra egg which is what I ordered. She proceeded to tell me she worked there 19 years and on and on. I did not want to be rude or further the conversation as she was unwilling to understand or adjust the bill. I said fine I'll take my toast from the sandwich to go then. I paid my bill and gave the customary tip. I will not be returning to this business where the waitress fails to communicate correctly when taking the order, then fails to correct the issue at checkout. It was a difference of $2.30, but how do you take the liberty of charging me for something I did not order. The food was basic and the waitress was stubborn for no good cause. There are plenty of no frills diners in the area which I will frequent before setting foot here again.

The diner has a cool old school vibe inside, which I really liked. They also had old school music playing in the background, which went perfectly w/ the atmosphere. The menu has sooo many different options! You could literally lose yourself looking through it. I already knew what I was craving, but it took my bf a while to decide what he wanted b/c there were so many choices. He wasn't sure what to get! We ordered the mozzarella sticks as an app to share, & they were good! They had a nice cheese pull, which I love, but they were a little overcooked. Some of the cheese had already melted out of the mozzarella sticks, but they were still tasty. For my meal, I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap w/ sweet potato fries, & it came w/ coleslaw and a pickle. The chicken in the wrap was crispy & flavorful, which I loved! The wrap itself was delish, too, but it needed more hot sauce. One half was a little dry, while the other half (it was cut in half)was perfect, which was kind of weird. And those sweet potato fries were GOOD! They came out hot & had the perfect balance of crispiness and softness. They weren't too crispy or too soft, they were just right! And let me tell you about that coleslaw... SO YUMMY! I love me some coleslaw! It tasted fresh & had the perfect amount of mayo and black pepper. Our server, Chris, was really sweet, but I do think he could've been a little more attentive. @ times, I felt like I was bothering him when I needed something. I know it was really busy, even @ that hour, so I tried to be understanding. I had to ask for utensils, & I wanted more water and hot sauce but didn't even get a chance to ask. He also forgot my lemon for my water. He was trying, though,& I appreciated his kindness. This def wasn't my 1st time visiting this diner,& it won't be my last. The food is too scrumptious!I'll be back!

They were in a heavy book (reminded me of a high school yearbook) with six pages of choices plus an insert of daily specials. Post Road is the kind of diner that diner lovers dream of. Their menu is an embarrassment of riches and would seamlessly fit in alongside anything you would find on the Sunrise Highway on Long Island or on Route 17 in New Jersey. Three of us walked in around 11:30am today, and our first order of business was deciding if we'd go for lunch or breakfast food. We all went for breakfast plates- pancakes ($9.99) with a side of scrambled eggs ($2.99), GF Pancakes ($12.98), and for me a "Protein Breakfast" ($13.99) and a coffee ($3.49). So, I'm sure you're asking, "what on earth is a protein breakfast?' Well, it was four egg whites, a few gorgeous tomato slices, and a nice piece of grilled chicken. It was pretty filling and everything tasted great. Our server was efficient and professional and swiftly brought over a "to go" box for the excess of those enormous pancakes. The dining room is awesome, a real throwback to the 1950's with plenty of old-time booths, art deco neon signs, checkerboard ceramic tile, and music\entertainment\pop culture images everywhere. We really enjoyed our visit !

I came here on a lark one afternoon hoping to avoid the bored-as-shit, laconic-looking staff…read morenapping over at the Dry Dock Cafe up the street as well as to avoid kicking out a senseless gratuity to an ungrateful, unhelpful waitresses. I had read some suspiciously positive reviews about Dairy King on Yelp, and ordered a cheeseburger and fries. I get that generations of Norwalkers and others have fond memories of their time here, and it was with that fact in mind that I ignored my intuition and entered the outdated, near-empty facade just after noon. For the new and unititiated, a word of admonition: do not let your senses fool you. Dairy King looks like a dive, and tastes like a dive, and not in any delicious way. I get that going pretty much anywhere for ice cream on a hot summer day is fun. What I do not get are comments here asserting that Dairy King's food, particularly their burgers are anything more than mediocre, studiously average at best, and a dubious step up over major chains. To all who will, in the the romantic twilight after Little League games or movies, arrive at Dairy King hungry and ready and willing to scarf down just about anything, I hope for your sake that good experiences continue, that fine memories of family and friends are created and then savored in the hopefully delicious silence of your unfolding life. But for me Dairy King is far behind even the middle of the pack in it's chosen catagory, my days of eating "just about anything" are well behind me, and Dairy King will have to take it the rest of the way without me, at least until the day the real estate developers lean on City Hall to condemn that section of Main Avenue (under a phonied-up interpretation of the eminent domain statutes) and Dairy King inevitably (and blessedly) falls to the wrecking ball, destined to become mixed-use retail with residential up above.

The aroma of their tacos wafting through the air was absolutely irresistible, and I simply had to try them. One bite, and I was hooked. Now, I live in an area where Mexican food is everywhere - but what this family creates is something truly special. Their flavors don't just compete; they soar above the rest. When I chatted with them, I learned that the brother had previously worked in a Japanese restaurant, and now he's running this beautiful venture with his mom and sister. You can taste the care, the tradition, and the love they pour into every dish. I was so impressed that when I found out they'd be at another farmers market, I made sure to track them down.
