I came w/ my cousin from NYC around almost noon. We were around the area. We decided on diner food b/c they pretty much have a larger variety. Something for someone. The Waitress greeted us as soon as the hostess sat us. She gave us breakfast only menus. I asked for the full menu. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast. I ordered a turkey/bacon triple decker no lettuce or tomatoes add American cheese w/ hash browns(their's is shredded potatoes). It came w/ a pickle & homemade Cole slaw. I love homemade Cole slaw!I know I know some ppl. Think Cole slaw is gross but I learned to love it! Waitress was overwhelmed by my special order. She was waiting by herself & it started to get busy. She really needs help. Food came out in a bit (which I don't mind the wait b/c that means the food is fresh). Waitress forgot to tell cook I wanted American cheese. She then started to say I never ordered that. I told her yes I did. We went back & forth for a bit. She offered to give me a piece of cheese. I told her no I want it made in my triple decker. I don't want cold cheese that I have to put in myself when I ordered it. She came back a little bit later w/ my food. I hope they didn't do anything to it. The waitress came & apologized b/c she looked @ her notepad & I did order American cheese. She forgot all about it. Any hoot, food was good especially coleslaw! Inside was your basic diner layout. It was nice & clean. The vibe felt like I was @ home. Waitress was very friendly & couldn't be attentive b/c it got busy. I hope she gets help b/c I would like to be back & try more food. A few of my doctors are near by.

We stopped for a simple meal as we were on the road. Food was not good, service was very slow , that waitresses were just sitting at the bar hanging out, took over 15 mins to get the check. I ordered the Cali salad and unfortunately the salad was mostly brown old wilted lettuce, oh and I found a random slice of Swiss cheese in my non cheese salad. Really hope others have better experience but will not recommend especially with the prices..

This is a go to breakfast stop which never disappoints. The place is very clean and well managed and the food is fresh and good and affordable. Service has always been attentive and relaxed-no one rushing you. They have gorgeous baked goods and sweets I am dying to try! Solid, comfortable, clean and inviting establisment with great food. Off street parking.

This diner serves up comforting vibes, delicious food and a friendly atmosphere....highly recommend it! I went again recently with my spouse and two family members, and everyone loved it. I ordered the Turkey Melt sandwich with coleslaw and a side of fries, an iced frappe (a Greek coffee on ice), and a carrot cake. Everything was fresh, fabulous and tasty! And our waitress, Christa AKA Chrisoula, was so wonderful -- she was very hospitable....she made us all feel welcomed, valued and right at home. Honestly, she went above and beyond, to make our visit special. We had Henny, as a waitress, in the past, and she was excellent, too. (I hope I spelled her name right.) Clearly, the restaurant management knows how to choose and hire outstanding staff members. : ) Our "bus boy," whose name I didn't get, was also sweet and friendly. Again, all of our dishes were terrific: lovingly prepared and generously portioned. We were all so impressed. Alright, now stop scrolling Yelp and go check this diner out! : ) -Kat

My food was quickly prepared, hot when it came to the table. The host and waitress were warm and friendly. Nice atmosphere!

Since the diner is so close to the hotel we came here for breakfast , we came in & were seated right way. drinks to start OJ & Coffee not bad. On the food I had the Italian breakfast wrap very good nice tasting eggs , cheese & basil also comes with home fries not bad. Hubby had the Banana walnut pancakes , added some chorizo & eggs. Pancakes were delicious & so was the chorizo, good eggs way too much food literally served as breakfast the next day. nice place, good service & prices were decent we really enjoyed our breakfast.

Dining in these difficult days can be quite a challenge but what I like about this diner is that the dining area is very large and because it is it lends itself to being able to dine with plenty of distance between yourself and others. The staff is quick to seat you and take your order. The menu is classic diner menu. Usually my go to meals are pancakes, grilled cheese and sandwiches. I have not had a bad meal yet!

Even for diner standards, not good. If you want a decent diner, we like the Apollo down the road.

Modern, clean diner with solid service. Food is tasty. Tends to get very crowded during peak times but wait isn't too bad.

The prices are not that affordable, for the lack of decor and the basic nature of the food the food is overpriced. We ordered an eggs benedict platter$17.25, 2 coffees $3 each and one single fried egg. On the menu, it clearly stated one extra egg ordered with a platter is $2. However, when I received the receipt it stated $4.30. I brought this up to the waitress. She says oh yeah I charged you for an egg sandwich. I questioned why as we did order a platter and it clearly stated $2 for an extra egg which is what I ordered. She proceeded to tell me she worked there 19 years and on and on. I did not want to be rude or further the conversation as she was unwilling to understand or adjust the bill. I said fine I'll take my toast from the sandwich to go then. I paid my bill and gave the customary tip. I will not be returning to this business where the waitress fails to communicate correctly when taking the order, then fails to correct the issue at checkout. It was a difference of $2.30, but how do you take the liberty of charging me for something I did not order. The food was basic and the waitress was stubborn for no good cause. There are plenty of no frills diners in the area which I will frequent before setting foot here again.

"I'll go back to the diner I'll write another letter…read moreI hope you'll read it this time" (Billie Eilish) I kind of laughed when our server brought over our menus. They were in a heavy book (reminded me of a high school yearbook) with six pages of choices plus an insert of daily specials. Post Road is the kind of diner that diner lovers dream of. Their menu is an embarrassment of riches and would seamlessly fit in alongside anything you would find on the Sunrise Highway on Long Island or on Route 17 in New Jersey. Three of us walked in around 11:30am today, and our first order of business was deciding if we'd go for lunch or breakfast food. We all went for breakfast plates- pancakes ($9.99) with a side of scrambled eggs ($2.99), GF Pancakes ($12.98), and for me a "Protein Breakfast" ($13.99) and a coffee ($3.49). So, I'm sure you're asking, "what on earth is a protein breakfast?' Well, it was four egg whites, a few gorgeous tomato slices, and a nice piece of grilled chicken. It was pretty filling and everything tasted great. Our server was efficient and professional and swiftly brought over a "to go" box for the excess of those enormous pancakes. The dining room is awesome, a real throwback to the 1950's with plenty of old-time booths, art deco neon signs, checkerboard ceramic tile, and music\entertainment\pop culture images everywhere. We really enjoyed our visit !

The diner has comfortable retro feel, but updated appropriately. I ordered Turkey & dressing w/ mashed potatoes and gravy on all of it. My appetizer choice was chicken noodle soup. I had iced tea and water, and finished w/ fantastic pecan pie alamode. My waiter was prompt to greet me, answer questions on the menu, and all the stuff a waiter should do. I really enjoyed my dinner at Post Road Diner. I would give it a 4.5 but not quite a 5.
