Middlesex Powersports Center & Marina - "Nuthin' but air, baby!"

Middlesex Powersports Center & Marina

If for some crazy reason you are thinking of doing business with Mario Marriotti and Middlessex…read morePowersports you best do your research (including calling the Chemlsford Police Dept.) and prepare to be ripped off. My experience with Middlesex Power Sports / Old Outboard Marina or what ever else Mario is calling himself now, was exactly the same as other reviews you will find on the web if not worse. Mario had my boat for no less than...wait for it...4 1/2 years (not months, years). During which time I stopped in many many times to check on its status. I had to stop in as Mario does not take or return calls. In fact most of the time you can't even leave a message as his message are full. Twice when I visited I found he had been evicted from his place and the boat along with most everything else was gone. Tracking him down to his new location was both time consuming and as anxiety packed as you can imagine. At one point he did have it finished (although not tested) and was delivering it too me only to have the back engine cover fly off on rt 495. Mario did not lock the cover down and it was caught by the wind and flew off. This was a truly rookie mistake that could have easily killed someone. This is a much longer story than I have time to write here but after all the pain, anguish and time, Mario ended stiffing me for $200....sigh. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BOAT HERE AND ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PAY ANYTHING UP FRONT!

I wanted to trust Mario, but sadly he can best be described as a scam…read more He wanted 1/2 up front, fortunately I only gave him 1/4, because 6 months later I still have no engine back on my boat. He is great at providing excuses and stories of crazy circumstances. He will tell you that all the bad reviews are just crazy "liberal" customers that had unrealistic expectations. I read the other reviews and figured I'd give him a shot. Bad call. Don't make the same mistake.

Keep bike pressure between 70 and 95. Add air weekly…read more Size large rack for back of bike It's been a while since I've needed to carry in my bike for various check ups. I originally bought my bike from the Allston location when I was living in the area back in 2016 as a graduation gift. Even though I've had my bike this long, I didn't really bike much unless it was on a trail and that was probably once or twice a year. Then 2 years ago I introduced myself to riding on the roads more since more bike lanes opened up and created a sense of safety about riding on the road so I've been a little more active with it. So for the most part my bike had been ageing without being used much. Anyway... now that I'm in Somerville, the trek to Allston has kept me back for getting it check out. My husband was looking for a new bike and we discovered this location. Apparently they just opened up in January 2022. I recently bought a new saddle for my bike but didn't get around to putting it on myself, so since I was following him to go bike shopping I thought I'd take mine in for expert assistance with switching the saddles. Cullen was assisting me and he was very polite and informative- I had a bunch of questions so I could better know about my bike. He was teaching me things about the new saddle I installed and how to best maintain my bike (like how often I should be pumping air in the tyres), if i needed to replace my tyres- what size to get, if i wanted to install certain things where the correct soots to mount them are, etc. He was able to do an evaluation of my bike and tell me the longevity of its current state and what needed immediate attention. I mainly use my bike for errands during the summertime and are no more than 30 minute rides so we agreed that for now we just to change out my brake pads which were completely done for. It's a nice location, especially to test ride the bikes since it's away from the busy roads so you have the street to yourself to get a real feel of how the ride on the road surface.

WARNING: This Dealership Sells Lemons & Blames You For It…read more I bought a car here a few months ago and put down a large sum of money. Within weeks, the car started having issues. I reached out to the owner immediately after, hoping for help. Instead, I got a rude, combative response and was blamed for the problems -- even though I had just bought the car. I recently took it to a certified BMW dealership, and they confirmed what I already knew: the car had serious issues that were never disclosed. I have the full inspection report AND video proof to back this up. This dealership: Takes your money Sells you damaged cars Blames you when things go wrong Refuses to help or take accountability They knew what they were doing -- and they chose to lie instead of do right. BOTTOM LINE: Don't trust this place. Don't waste your money. I've got the receipts, and I'm warning others before it happens to you.

We bought a car from here and hasn't even been 30 days and we already took it back to be checked…read moreout. The car sat in their lot for a year. Cars collect dust and rust after sitting. This is expected. However before we bought it we told them, the steering wheel shakes when you're breaking. They gave us the whole "take it home drive it, get the rust off. If it still shakes bring it back we'll take care of it" When we called them two weeks later to tell them "Hey we're still having this issue" They said "Well you need to drive it hundreds of miles and the problems will go away" ummmm GTFOTH!!! No one is driving a car that steering shakes when you're breaking hundreds miles. So this week we bring the car back, they claim "it's only money, I'll take care of it. I want you to be comfortable" Well wouldn't you know they called us back after they hand over the car to us talking bout "we need to pay them for the labor" Excuse me? They lied and told us "we took car of everything, new tires, new brakes etc" So why if you took care of everything we're still having this problem? We've had this car two weeks! We are under warranty for the car!!! There should absolutely be NO COST!!! None! ****UPDATE**** So these guys did attempt to make amends. The deductible was not charged and they did fix the issue with the car. It's been a few weeks and the car drives well. They even called to check up on us. Could have been a misunderstanding or miscommunication but still. I stand by my first claim. Don't buy nothing from here. Since we've gotten the car we've had to things just fall off, side mirror fell off while nobody was driving touching doing a thing to the car. Now the review mirror just fell off while I was driving it. You can clearly see they used glue to repair it. Just don't man ... save yourself the trouble.

I took a basic welding class to make a barn star at the Garrison Speed Shop in Mendon,…read moreMassachusetts. I have never welded before or used some of the tools and equipment required. The template pieces were all laid out, but that was it. Co-founder Luke had me read and sign all the releases first, and asked about my experience with welding etc. Being a Veteran myself, Luke as well, and the non-profit supporting Veterans and First Responders, he also made sure to ask me if loud noises or anything would bother me. Every step was explained and demonstrated before I was able to do it, and as nervous as I was at first, it quickly went away knowing he took my safety, the safety of others as well as their shop very seriously. Co-founder Ben also provided some muscle when I was unable to bend the metal myself. In just over 2 hours I had sanded, measured, re-measured, bent , hammered and welded together a really cool one of a kind 5-sided barn star. It was definitely something different to do and it was a really cool and fun experience. 5 stars !
