Absolutely 10/10 recommend this place. My fiancé and I had the marinated airline chicken and asparagus as a side. The chicken was absolutely incredible. I would claim it is the best chicken I have ever had. The skin was crispy and layered with a lemon basil vinaigrette. The chicken was tender, flavourful and juicy. The asparagus paired with it was fresh and well salted. The service slightly lacked but it was understandable due to the business of the restaurant while we were there over the weekend. The ambiance of the restaurant is similar to every other sit down restaurant, nothing special about it. read more

I really wanted to like this place since it so close to home but it was just pretty average. The cocktails were average at best so next time I will stick with wine. The app which according to the menu was medium rare was closer to medium well but had a nice flavor. I got trout which was supposed to have a lemon caper sauce but not a caper to be seen and it was barely warmer than room temp. Hubby enjoyed his pork chop but the side of crispy red potatoes were greasier than they were crispy. They were so heavy we passed on the desert which to be honest was very limited (as were their sides). It was a real shame because it's a cute little restaurant and very popular with the locals. Wow! Y'all were not kidding. Went there on a Sunday night and ordered more food than we should have. Boy o boy was it great. The 'garlic' pretzels as an appetizer, the 'hot chicken sandwich' to share at the table, and the mac and brisket... MOUTH WATERING AS I WRITE THIS. They even had wine from Paso Robles (best California wine area there is imo). Waiters were excellent! Only one complaint. We wanted a booth and were told they are reserved for larger parties. Thompson's Station's best restaurant by a long shot. We love it and come often. Great menu and great cocktails. We've had great experiences every time. It's a touch loud (some acoustic treatment would be nice) and the takeout bags are essentially just grocery bags. Having the thing you take with you when you're done being no better than cheap Chinese takeout leaves something to be desired. Everything else is great so still 5 stars!! read more

Best meal we have had since moving to Spring Hill. They had a very nice continental menu with gourmet entrees. Presentation was excellent. And best of all, you get all this for a fair price. We first tried Circa in the summer of 2022. We loved the food, the vibe, and the service. So we came back with friends the week before Christmas 2022. These two experiences were very different and I'm not sure we will be going back. On our first visit, the food was high quality and perfectly prepared. On our second visit, the food seemed more like greasy bar food. Some of our food was cold (the fried green tomatoes) and some was over cooked and burned (the relleno). Additionally, the vibe was about the same, but our server seemed less than capable. All in all, we were disappointed given our first experience. read more

WOW! We came here for a nicer family dinner and were not disappointed. We had reservations and we sat down right away. Our waitress was very attentive and gave great recommendations! My mother in law loved the old fashioned. The wine that I got was great as well. The waitress recommended the Cauliflower Cheesecake. It's not something we would usually order but it was incredible! One of my favorite restaurants for a special occasion. This is a destination restaurant. You've got to be a great restaurant to be successful in a location with ZERO natural traffic. Circa is located in what I guess you could call "downtown" Thompson Station. "Downtown" being 2-3 buildings - one of which is the old train station. Highly recommend the Bone-in Pork Chop - it's a regular on the menu. The menu changes with the seasons as many dishes utilize what is grown locally and in-season. Check out the Sunday brunch. Earlier is better so you don't feel stuffed into space as the restaurant has limited space. The wait staff are spot on; cordial and attentive ALWAYS. We have been here numerous times for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, and never disappointed. I consider myself a customer service snob; I expect quality and they deliver every time. Very unfortunate first time visiting Circa. We went at the strong recommendation of a friend, made a reservation, and were five minutes early. We proceeded to have to wait for 35 min for a table. This was after a table was open, a booth which was requested, but the manager told us he was intentionally holding it for someone else and we had to wait despite being there for 20 min ahead of the party behind us. The excuse we were given was that two tables would open at any minute and yet we did not sit down until 7:35. Then the management thought it was appropriate to offer us one free appetizer... sad that this was considered appropriate for a first time guest, celebrating a birthday...and even after further complaints they reluctantly and rather rudely offered something we did not even order. We will never be back and I will be sure to let everyone know to not expect much from Circa's management as they clearly don't know how to manage basic reservation flow nor how to make even the basic attempt to make repeat customers. read more

We loved the cornbread and the pretzel app was delicious! We came for my birthday and had a great time. I got one of their specialty cocktails which was unique and delicious. The salmon was tasty and the chicken sandwich my husband had was good. We ordered the fingerling potato side and our girls ordered off the kid menu. Server was attentive and the atmosphere is cozy. Not my cup of tea. I was really excited to try this place but we waited for 20 minutes before someone took our drink order. Another 15 minutes went by without receiving the drink, so we left. They were not full. It was around 6:30 on a weeknight. The staff was kind but if it takes more than 35 minutes to get a drink then something is wrong. The people around us seem to be enjoying the food they were eating. The only other thing I would say is that I was expecting more of a fine dining ambience (dim lights with candles on the table) based on the description. But it felt more like a bar at closing time. This is a hidden gem located in Thompson's Station. They have a well thought out menu. The food is very good. The service has always been outstanding. It is an old building (possibly a house) that has been converted to an upscale restaurant. It sits across from the railroad. I haven't researched the history but the area seems to be an old train station location. I've visited multiple times for various meals (brunch and dinner). I would definitely recommend that they be added to your "must try" locations if you find yourself in the area. read more
