We checked out Circa for our anniversary. When we arrived, our waiter Michael greeted us with champagne and their corn bread and sweet butter. We ordered the cowboy ribeye in coffee rub chili butter with a wedge salad, and I had the pork chop in cilantro lime creama with wood fired broccolini. We split everything. It was all amazing. Incredible experience! The wait staff was friendly and did a fantastic job with service and recommendations. We got the gnocchi appetizer and it was a flavor explosion and the ribeye steak with the cowboy butter was incredible. We will be going back! We had reservations and I'd recommend doing that, by the time we left it was packed with a wait (well deserved because of the food and dinning experience.) it can get noisy/loud at times, but it was fantastic! read more

Our date night spot. Delicious farm to table food with tasty drinks to complement it. It's by far my favorite restaurant in the area. Easily the best in Spring Hill and Thompson's Station. I would put it's food up against any restaurant in Franklin. We are lucky to have such an amazing spot right here in Thompson's Station. A fun experience is to go to Company Distilling right next door for a drink first (sometimes they have live music), then head over to Circa for dinner. read more

I really appreciate people in Circa. We have a special experience here today. Our car stuck on the wood of the parking area in the rainy day. We guys couldn't make it and felt depressed. Because it is late in the evening, and we gonna have a 4hour journey after that. The boss with people in the restaurant figure out the situation patiently . He called his friend with a trunk. Our review is purely for brunch as that is all we have tried. We came Sunday morning when not much of the brunch crowd had gotten there yet. Service was not exceptional and food was average. The chorizo hash had very little chorizo and both people at our table that ordered this meal could hardly find any chorizo in it. The omelette meal was an average omelette, but the potatoes on the side were great! Biscuits were good, crispy outside and soft inside, gravy was very good but very little amount was given. Bloody Mary's were ordered spicy but tasted mostly of tomato juice. Overall, we will be looking for another brunch spot. Maybe we will come try dinner. read more

So I'm torn on this review but at the end of the day taste is what made the experience what it was. Ambiance was excellent. Very clean and inviting. Staff was friendly and the service was excellent. We were excited for the happy hour. My problem was that I was handed the menu and then after attempting to order something off the grill I was told they weren't serving it at that time if day. Then why was I given a menu and then told I couldn't order off 2/3rds of it. Fine, I asked for a simple burger instead. I was then told that this couldn't be done either. There were literally 10 customers in the whole place at this time with ample staff able to take care of them. What started with a promise of a great meal turned into some good drinks at happy hour prices and small portions of bland appetisers. Here's my recommendation for setting expectations. Don't give the full menu if you can't accommodate it. Print what you have on the happy hour menu so customers aren't disappointed when they have to change their order 3x. Again, I enjoyed the ambiance and service but as we all know it all comes down to flavor and these apps didn't deliver. I don't know if we will be back to give it another shot and get the food we actually wanted. read more

What a little GEM this place is! From the look, atmosphere, the food, the service - just perfection! Circa hosted our corporate event for 2 days, and made everything so easy! Delicious frittata for breakfast, the whole place set up to accommodate our meeting during the day. Eddie and Stef and their team were so attentive to everyone, and moved like ninjas between the tables to clean up, replenish waters, and get us anything we needed without disrupting the flow of the meeting. Lunch was delicious! Everyone loved the kale salad and the hot chicken sandwich, and the burger - even the biggest burger snobs out there - will love this one! They moved things around for dinner and the cocktail hour and made sure we got to interact and enjoy ourselves. The chicken entree was out of this world! If I could have that for dinner EVERY night, I would! Do yourselves a favor and stop by if you are in the area. Thank me later! read more

We had heard great things about Circa and it did not disappoint. Being away from the crowds and traffic in Thompson Station makes it a really nice night out. They have a fun cocktail menu and lots of interesting and different dishes to choose from. All 4 of us loved our dishes, savory, delicious and a perfect portion. A smaller place with patio and inside seating. The atmosphere is casual but we chose to dress up for a special birthday dinner. Circa is always great. We showed up for an early Sunday dinner and while disappointed the kitchen was not fully open, we made up for it by ordering small plates that ended up being filling enough. The surf and turf is delicious. 2 Shrimp tails, some grilled vegetables and a slab of smoked pork belly make this a very sharable treat. We also shared the Gnocchi drizzled with Pesto. Again a very generous helping that would be a meal in itself. Paired with Yazoo Nomad Ale...perfect! I'm rating Circa 4 stars but its a strong 4 stars. Def. worthwhile and recommended. Great service from both the hostess and the server. Very cute restaurant - a little loud - but nice layout and good ambience. Extensive and unique cocktail/Beverage list including some cocktails I hadn't thought of combining those ingredients together. The salads were tasty and well constructed. We had the duck and a steak with side of corn. All good but the steak was slightly overcooked from what I ordered but ok enough not to send it back. Didn't dig into the dessert list. Sunday evening, after an exhausting day by the pool, I didn't want to cook & we didn't really want anything heavy. My wife and I go here all the time as it is only 5 minutes from our house. That said, Circa is undoubtedly the only restaurant in this area that would justify a commute from Nashville if we didn't live here. Amazing spot for a date night, or just dinner in general. We had dinner on New Year's Eve with another couple last year, and the food never disappoints. The Ribeye is my favorite here, and is absolutely in the top 1 or 2 ribeyes that I've ever had. In fact it's so good, it is difficult trying anything else. We like how the menu changes seasonally while keeping the staples available, and there's a good selection for the kids, as well. Also got the green chili wontons. Cooked just right. A hint of zing but very tasty. Wife got the caprese salad. Whole tomato sliced into edges with mozzarella in between and great tasting dressing. Ventured down south to Spring Hill to meet some friends and give this place a try. We were definitely impressed. Got there early and managed to get in some happy hour drinks - always a win! Dinner we had the BBQ shrimp to start. It was spicy, the sauce was the real star. Had to order extra bread to sop it all up and shovel it into our mouths. I had the chicken sandwich for dinner and it was slightly over cooked. A little too charred for my taste. Fries were obviously fresh but a little limp. My husband's short rib was outstanding! Outstanding Food and Service Our second visit to Circa and once again it was outstanding. Our close friends joined my wife and I for our regular get together. We started with the fried green tomatoes and smoked pork belly, both of which were not only excellent, but different (and better) than we expected. The fried green tomatoes reminded me of a cross between caprese and Nashville chicken (without all the heat). The smoked pork belly had the perfect amount of smoke and flavor without too much fat. We tried the Cajun Shrimp and Grits, the BBQ Braised Short Ribs and the Beef Tenderloin. All three were excellent as well. Shout out to David for the great service.
