The most horrid, disgusting, and dangerous facility I have ever entered in my corporeal life. I've walked into bathrooms more sanitary than this place. The service is what I would imagine Hell's Kitchen to look like. I would rather have been cooked and served by the chefs than eat the "Penland" quality food again. However the arcade games were top tier and the exit was an experience like no other. I have ate at Cici pizza on a few different times and their pizza is good, Hawaii, Barbecue, Surpreme pizza, Veggie pizza and cinnamon rolls and their sweet tea are all really good and their buffet never stays full threw out the days and nights they stay packed full of customers, and their managers are really nice and friendly and caring if you work their they will send you home with their pizza foods to make sure you don't go hungry they are very thoughtful of their customers and employees, I recommend this place to anyone to eat and it's cheap it's a good deal read more

This was the worst experience at a cicis I've ever had. There were no pizza selection and the crew did not put out the pizza as fast at everyone expected. The pizza when put out have been grabbed or taken as fast as a mentally disabled mom with a short hair cut asking for the manager when a black employee helps her out. I belive the employees did not like there job since all I saw was three people just giggling and laughing at the back while this Hispanic man was working his ass off. At first look at the pizza, it was so depressing. Literally it was depressing. I wanted to say something but most of them were wearing airpods. One had a durag. The pizza( when I could grave one) was very odd. Had many different toppings despite being just one topping. A cheese pizza slice had only one olive on the side. A pepperoni slice had a chunk of chicken on the middle. My flatbread was burnt and tasted like cardboard. When I wanted to have a drink of a nice cool coke to wash this horrible meal I found out that the ice machine did not work. I was devastated. The drink was the only thing that actually tasted what it supposed to do. Everytime I wanted another slice dispite the horrible selection but hey, I payed for this horrible meal. When one whole pizza came out it was a war zone. The place were the two supposed pizza lines were was packed of hungry people when they saw my Hispanic brother put out a pizza. I named that place "no mans land" with all the people gathering, running for the slices. Adults and kids just hungry for the slice of an ordinary cheese pizza. I can still hear the screams. Came here on my lunch hour by myself. I came around 4pm so certainly not a rush hour or anything, but they struggled to keep the buffet stocked. At one point there was only one partial pizza on both sides and for dessert, just a few squares of old brownie. I didn't want to order a whole pizza for myself, and figure it'd take too long anyway, so I just waited for WHATEVER they put out. Slowly but surely they got out a few. As two of the employees roamed and chatted with customers instead of being behind the counter pumping out pizzas. We just moved back to Waco and were in the area so we stopped at this location. We stood at the counter for 10 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. I walked around the buffet area and saw one woman and a young kid - she was telling him how to mop the floors. They both made eye contact with me but didn't acknowledge they saw me. So I looked over the buffet hoping that someone would come to the front - the pasta was dry and old, what there was of pizza looked to be old and only 2 kinds on the buffet. The brownies were spread all over the buffet area - like people had picked thru them. The tables were all dirty with used dishes, chairs all over and food on the floor. Now here's my question to the franchisor - why, for the love of humanity would you franchise a restaurant, pay all those fees and not give a care about how your business looks ?? I am a food service manager and if that were my restaurant, I would be ashamed of myself. If the health department came in, you'd be out of business. Just some advice, if you're willing to listen - read these reviews and take them to heart - change managers, hire staff that care about their job (even if that mean paying them better),clean up the building and get your business in order. I was very disappointed in my experience at this location at Cici's. I arrived at the store at 8:00 pm and was told that they will not be adding any pasta to the buffet. The store closes at 10:00 pm. So I am so confused to why they start to put everything up 2 hours before closing time. They did not bother making any fresh pizza. The dessert pizza ran out and they said "no" to making anymore. Keep in mind, this happened 2 hours before closing time. I am not sure if there was any management present because all I saw were kids working there that were talking on their cell phones, laughing loudly and sagging their pants the entire time. It seems like nobody took their job serious at all. I hope the owner takes some action to fix this because at one time, this Cicis Pizza location was one of the finest places in Waco. But, it has become one of the most mismanaged places in Waco. It was so unbelievable how there was no new pizza put out and I was actually told "no" to making anymore. The buffet was almost bare and yet they were still going to be opened for another 2 hours. In addition, they already put all of the chairs up on top of all the tables except for about eight boths that were closely put together. I understand if they do that 15 minutes before closing, but not 2 hours before hand. When I go to a restaurant, I like to have some choice to where I sit and not be confined to only a small space. And nobody was cleaning. Instead they were all partying in the back and playing on their cellphones. There was no purpose to have the chairs up this early. Again, hopefully the owner reevaluates what is going on at this location and makes some changes. The whole time I was there eating, I was in total shock to how the employees were acting and lack of food on the buffet. Workers were not working just playing around the whole time while the buffet line was really dirty and disgusting, could have been wiped down while they were "playing" around. Came in here yesterday because my kids wanted pizza. When we walk in, everyone in the back was running around looking busy but nothing was getting done. Pizza on buffet was cold and there wasn't any new pizza being put out and we waited there for like 15 minutes. When we asked for a refund the black guy in the back was very rude saying stuff to us despite us being calm. We will not be going there again. This place lacks good management and leadership as most people working in there looked very young and inexperienced. If I could give them half a star I would but luckily for them they get one because they did give us a refund. read more

Do you like greeters who mumble incoherently and won't make eye contact or smile? Then this is the place for you! This fine establishment has it all: pasta that's been on the buffet so long that it's hardened to a crisp, food and trash on the floor, lots of unbussed tables, and that charming atmosphere one can usually only find in the waiting room of a free clinic. I also like that they didn't waste any effort on ensuring that there was variety on the buffet, because who needs it? Speaking of needing things-when you arrive, don't be shocked by there only being 6 total slices of pizza on the buffet with no plates in sight. It's just their fun, quirky way of showing how much they care. It was a nice touch as well that they completely skipped setting out a lot of the items that they advertised would be on the buffet. I've frequented various CiCi's in multiple states and in general appreciate the friendliness of staff and the food is good for the price. But, this CiCi's is the exception. By far the worst in regard to food and service that I've experienced. Also, it's pretty dirty throughout. The men's restroom was disgusting. The food selection was sparse, so I requested a supreme. While waiting I had some of the selection that was already available and regretted doing so. The supreme took probably 30 minutes and when it came, it was actually decent. I wish I can give this place 0 stars. It was that bad. AVOID THIS NIGHTMARE! My girlfriend and I were literally charged for water. Although the manager gave us free buffet passes for our next meal, I doubt I will ever use them. There was a horrible selection of pizza, pasta and other dishes. If there was any food available, it was cold or hanging off the pan clinging for life. There were many tables full of plates and dishes from previous customers that were not cleaned off the entire time we were there. I have been here twice in the last month and both times the restaurant was disgusting! Tables were not wiped down there was food and trash on the floor that my feet were sticking too because it appeared it had not been mopped in a while. The food was ok and the service was ok. They really need to get someone in there to get that place together. It needs a good cleaning and the staff needs to be doing more than playing on their phones when they should be cleaning tables or mopping the awful floors!
