We were disappointed to discover that this Topgolf only has one story. My friend dubbed it "Bottomgolf." Nevertheless, we had a blast. There were quite a few interesting games to select from. We reserved two bays on Tuesday to get the half off deal, but there was an issue booking online with the discount. My friend called customer service, who said she could get the discount applied in person. Upon arrival, we had to talk to various employees before finally talking to the manager to resolve the issue. I am not sure why this process was such a hassle, but the manager apologized and gave my friend a free mini golf voucher. We ordered plenty of good, greasy stomach ache-inducing food. We ordered the chicken katsu sliders, which were pretty good, although they could have had more sauce. We also ordered the cheese fries and cheesy macaroni bites, which were tasty. For dessert, we had the cookie crumble sundae, which was mostly standard vanilla ice cream with some whipped cream and a little bit of cookie crumble. I would have liked more cookie in there. For a venue that's supposed to be focused on fun and hospitality, I had a truly disappointing experience at Top Golf in Waco today. I went in with high expectations for my son's 15th Birthday, but the management was shockingly unaccommodating. The issue arose when we requested to add an additional bay next to our already 3 Bay Party reservation especially since there were plenty of open bays with no wait. When I tried to address my concerns with the General manager, Hugo, the experience only got worse. He claimed the bay we wanted was reserved for 4 PM. However, when I followed up with the group that eventually took that bay at 5 PM, they told me they were walk-ins who had not made a reservation. So, not only did Hugo refuse to accommodate a simple request, he also blatantly lied about the reservation. His dismissive and arrogant attitude, made it clear he had no interest in resolving the issue. His ego seemed to take precedence over ensuring a positive customer experience. Instead of listening, he acted as though any feedback was beneath him. That said, I do want to acknowledge our Event Bay Host, Jordan, who was as sweet as she could be. Despite the management issues with Hugo, Jordan went above and beyond to ensure our experience was as positive as possible. Her kindness and professionalism really stood out, and she deserves a lot of credit for making the best out of a bad situation. While Jordan was wonderful, the poor management and lack of flexibility from Hugo have left a lasting negative impression. I expected better from Topgolf and won't be returning anytime soon. My husband also spends thousands of dollars here to host events for his work staff and he too will no longer do business with the Top Golf in Waco. read more

We came here for a birthday party. The facility is exceptional and the food is exquisite. They had an Angry Birds top golf for the kids and a little 9 hole mini golf. The restrooms are very clean and stocked, which helps so much with little kids. The only thing we didn't care for was the music was a little loud, but we know apparently some people love that. Welp this is about to be a long review... this location has been open for almost a year and this was my first time at this location. I've been to a lot of Top Golf locations and this one is by far my least favorite. At first I was excited to have a Top Golf in Waco instead of having to drive to Austin but after my experience last night with close friends I'm more than willing to make that drive to Austin. The only reason they are get 2 is because our waitress Elaina was AMAZING! It was a Saturday evening/night so I expected the place to be busy and service to be lacking a little but not Elaina. Her customer service skills are great, she's very personable and definitely knows how to manage her emotions in a fast paced, high volume environment. And they had great music. I left singing at the end of the night "Wanna be baller, shot caller... twenty inch blades on the Impala". Our friend and her brother were having an adult birthday party here at Top Golf. Their mother planned out everything, sent out invites, and called this location in advance to make sure they could accommodate everyone. We got there at 3pm and they somehow had no clue of the birthday and informed us that it would be a 2 hour wait. A little frustrating but oh well I'm used to that type of wait when you go to Top Golf so I wasn't stressed. While we are waiting we decided to sit, hang out and get appetizers/drinks. Their outside seating is nice. You can play mini golf, jenga, cornhole or just chill. At one point my wife wanted a drink so she went inside to the bar. After about 5 minutes she came back Sprite-less with an irritated look on her face. She told me she sat at the bar and TWO bartenders made eye contact but never asked what she wanted and the female bartender kept attending to only the men. I thought maybe my wife was being a little dramatic but I decided to walk in and get it for her. As soon as walked in immediately noticed that the bar was not busy at all and I saw the two bartenders behind the bar. I stood there for maybe 15 seconds before being asked for my order. Paid for the drink and returned to my wife who was even more annoyed that I got it so quickly. Fast forward and our golf bays were ready. Our group had about 15 adults, 3 kids under 7 y/o and a baby. Let me remind you they originally called in advance (24 hrs) to see if Top Golf could accommodate and were told they could. They originally thought they needed three golf bays but decided just to get two for all of us. You would think they would put us next to each other. NOPE! They put a group of us in the middle and the other group about ten bays over. Need I remind you it's a birthday party. We were told that they were booked out and could not move our group together. Miraculously 10 minutes of of us playing a section that could accommodate our group opened up. I thought maybe they would move us so we could be together but nope they didn't. They said they didn't know how to do something in the system to switch us to that new area and give smaller groups sizes our golf bays. At this point we're all over it and just making lemonade out of these lemons. Around 6pm some people from our group started to leave so we decided to just consolidate our group down to one bay. So we could all be together and so another group could get an earlier chance to start their reservations. At this point we have 10 adults, a 5 yr old and a 3 month baby. Time passes we're all getting tired and ready to go. Our waitress was sent over by the manager, Anissa, and told us that "we were already told already that we had too many people at our bay and that we would need to get another bay". First off no one ever came over and told us that and secondly 5 of the people in our group were not golfing due to either being pregnant, not interested in doing it, taking care of a newborn or being an actual newborn. UN-BE-LIEVABLE!! At that point I was over it and ready to go. As we were paying the person that originally called to make the reservations for her adult-children told us that she requested TWICE privately with a manager that she wanted staff to surprise her kids and announce to everyone at Top Golf that it was their birthday. The managers can't say they don't do anything like that their at Top Golf because I saw them do it three different times for other groups that were their for a birthday party and one of the birthdays was for a 21 year old. Overall, I had a shitty experience. Food and drinks were good like always at a Top Golf and our waitress (Elaina) was incredible. The rest of the customer service was horrendous. I'd rather spend the gas driving almost an hour to Austin to play Top Golf instead of driving 25 minutes to Waco. I'm sure the Top Golf corporate office doesn't care because regardless they would be getting my money despite whatever location I go to but they need to make management changes at the Waco location. read more

We have been here a couple of times with medical professionals. Sadly when we have asked to separate golf bay charges from food/ beverage, we were told "no, can't do that." Why not, we aren't asking for discounts? Hugo seemed like a nice guy, but no idea how to work with customer. Other Top Golf places in DFW have no problem separating food charges from entertainment. The golf games and drinks are good. The shrimp is great and nachos good. Sorry we won't be back. In medical, we can lose our jobs if we expense entertainment. This was explained upfront. read more

Only problem was that it was SUPER expensive and at one point we asked for a *basket* of fries, and were served a tiny plate of fries for $4.50. But other than that the food was good and I always love to eat here when I go. BUT, here's the biggest issue, I got stung by a bee here. Straight up stung in the arm golfing and I don't know how it happened. Literally started crying it hurt so bad, but I digress. Also, my sister tried to get in through the tight, cramped space in between the table and couch, and spilled a glass of water all over my brother's pants, soaking his sweats in cold ice water, making the mood pretty glum. Worst top golf I have ever been to. They use fake golf balls that do not fly the normal pattern of a golf ball. The holes are not like a normal top golf, they are just different colored turf. This is just a lame golf range. Go hit balls somewhere else. I wanted to hit golf balls not wiffle balls. read more

While visiting Waco, we tried TG two nights. The first night our bartender had our tabs so mixed up it was impossible to sort out and she had an attitude in response to us being frustrated and attempting to sort things out. The second night there was training in the area where customers would sit outside. We couldn't have more than eight people at the tee area (we had ten) and it was very cold outside. How about doing training NOT during business hours!? We complained and we were met with more questions about what would you do, rather than making it right. Won't be back!! First off, I would like to say Top Golf as a general business is fantastic, and for years I have thoroughly enjoyed going, in fact I had my 16th at the Centennial Top golf in 2017. This visit was for my roommate and I to have a belayed celebration of my 22nd birthday. My roommate, having a California ID, got a drink with no problem. The bartender, a taller gentleman with long curly hair and a gotee, however, first looked at my ID, which is the new 2022 Colorado ID, and gave it back, taking my order and returning to the bar. He later returns and ask for my ID once more, and then proceeds to have it for 5 minutes, having multiple other employees inspect, after returning my ID he states with confidence and conviction "I will not be giving you your drink because that is a fake ID". I then proceed to offer him two alternate forms of Identification, my Colorado Douglas County Concealed Carry License, and my University BearID profile, both of which state my DOB, of course matching my State Issued ID, neither of which he gives the time of day. He immediately states, without looking at my alternate IDs, that he will send the manger to talk with me. No server or bartender came to our table to check on or bring our order, my roommate had to go to the bar to ask for a new server. The manager, after waiting 20 minutes, never makes an appearance at our table, therefore, I go up to the bar and ask to speak with the manager. The manager was very short and rude with me, stating "you don't need one beer to have fun with your friends, if you looked 30 it would be different." I tried to understand why my ID was not taken, as this is the first instance, Colorado IDs are renowned for being very precise with measures that prevent counterfeit. She states that the emblem at bottom right hand corner of the ID does not fit their handout, which I then suggested was not properly updated, she assured me that it was. I again try and show my two alternate forms of identification, she, as the bartender, did not choose to look. She states that she cannot make the bar tender serve me because it would be him that would get in trouble, which I understand, if I was indeed was underage. I hope this review finds the right people, to make sure that nobody else's event and night is ruined at such an expensive establishment. read more

I have NEVER written a negative review for establishment before. But this, this service was so bad. The "waiter" was the bartender with curly blond ish hair. He came to our table and only asked for half of our tables drink orders and then abruptly left. The next time he came back which was like ten minutes later he only addressed the other half of the table and then abruptly left again. He forgot to put in half our order. It took 30 MINUTES to get a water 30 MINUTES. Golf bays were good and clean the waiting staff was ok at best, the bus crew or whoever cleans up on the outside area is horrible! Bottles and empty glasses are everywhere! Weeds are growing all over the mini golf course and it seems like no one cares about the area! read more

Went to TopGolf with plan's to hit some range balls. Friendly staff explained their rates, I chose their $25 for one hour, which I thought high. I gave my credit card to the cashier for the charge and she asked for my phone number, which I declined to give her. She said she would need my number to continue. I asked why do you need it? She gave some limp answer about should they need to contact me for a opening slot at the range. This was a Monday afternoon and the parking lot was mostly empty. Bottom line they would not let me hit balls unless I gave them my phone number, so I declined left and drove 5 minutes to Cottonwood golf course paid $10 for a large bucket and spent an enjoyable hour practicing. Will not be going to TopGolf again, who knows next time they may want your SS number and drivers license, Ridiculous. read more

Kensie was our "server" who kindly took our orders for drinks, and asked if we wanted appetizers, to which my cousin requested chicken tenders and fries. She took the order and said they would be right out. Great! We wait for about half an hour to 45 minutes, and we ask Kensie where the food is. She said her iPad died while submitting the order...hard to believe but oooookay. We wait a little longer and it's STILL not out.
