This is the manager of Austin's & The Warehouse who wouldn't allow me a Black man to enter neither club RACISM MUST STOP
Tlo R.

I'm visiting waco for the first time ever . I asked a friend to show me downtown Waco for a little nightcap Walked to this place called Austin's It seemed very friendly. The door man told me it's 18 to get in & 21 to drink .I said kool but the door man said i had on sweats & i couldn't come in. I said hey dude i have a pair of Jean's in my car no problem to change .the door guy said find ok . So my friend & I walked back to my car so I could change. Ok I changed pants & went back to Austin's but when we got the door the doorman told me that his manager said not to let me in because I looked to Hood !!!!!!. So after he says this I say excuse u but what is exactly is to Hood because I did what you told me to do in order for me to enter & he repeated that his boss told him not to let us in So i asked him to get his manager . The hold time the guy was standing right in the door acting like he was on his phone. My friend wanted to just leave but I said no we're being discriminated on & I wanna talk to the manager. So the guy gets the manager & I ask him what's the problem with us enter this establishment & the manager says all of a sudden that it was a private party going on ......yeah right So I say dude where is the sign to let people know this To make a long story short I just told the manager I'LL RESPECT YOUR MIND MORE IF U JUST SAY YOU DON'T WANT US IN THERE BECAUSE WE'RE BLACK & he had nothing to say So we left & went directly nxt door to the Warehouse & before I had a chance to pull out my ID here comes the racist manger running up to the door to say there's a private party here to Now I'm new here & this is the way Waco treat all blacks in the city . I took a picture of the Manager but I don't think Yelp will allow me to post it It's 2020 & we still have racism right in our face & this is truly sad To all young blacks in Waco please visit Austin's & The Warehouse to show them that blacks in America can make u or break you That's all I have to say

The vibe is very laid back and chill. The food was really good, we had a couple kids meals (cheeseburgers), a BYOB and I got the Gosh Jam It Burger and added Fried Onions, Bacon and Chipotle Sauce. The burger was yummy and the flavors blended well! We also enjoyed an order of fried pickles at the table along with samples of their free flavored pickles not pictured. All in all we enjoyed ourselves, the crowd was lively and the kids said this is their new favorite burger place so we will be back again!

The place is really dark on the inside so I would have preferred more light. I thought the service…read morewas really good from the time of ordering until walking out. I ordered the fried pickles and I thought they would come out as an appetizer, but they were put next to the burger as a side so I was disappointed in that. The fried pickles were way too thick for my liking although they were breaded well. What's neat about this place is the variety of different flavored pickles that they have in the corner for you to eat. I really did like that!! There's a bar in the center of the floor and although I didn't get anything from the bar, I did like the setup. The burger itself was okay. Not spectacular, but not the worst. Would I eat here again? I think I would.

We came to Waco to pick up my daughter from Baylor, and our group was looking for a good dinner…read morespot. Pizza by the river sounded perfect! After reading some mixed reviews, I was a little nervous about trying this place, but since my daughter had been here before, we decided to give it a shot -- and I'm so glad we did. The restaurant was very busy that night, and the staff let us know upfront that our pizza could take up to an hour. To our surprise, it arrived in only about 30 minutes, which we really appreciated. The view of the river was absolutely incredible and made the whole experience amazing during the golden hour. While the pizza wasn't the best I've ever had, it was still good and definitely hit the spot. The atmosphere, scenery, and honest communication from the staff made for a really enjoyable evening.

This was a pretty average pizza place overall. I went in expecting a little better quality,…read moreespecially based on what I'd heard. My first impression wasn't great because the restaurant could use a more thorough cleaning. There were several open tables when we arrived, but all of them were still dirty and hadn't been cleared off yet, so we had to wait before we could sit down. As for the pizza, it's decent, but nothing particularly memorable. One thing they do get right is the ranch dressing, it was actually really good. That said, they bring out so much of it that it almost feels like they're encouraging you to cover up the flavor of the pizza. We also ordered some appetizers. Unfortunately, the fried mac and cheese bites were disappointing. The filling tasted very similar to boxed Kraft mac and cheese that had simply been breaded and deep-fried. I wouldn't order those again. One highlight is the outdoor patio overlooking the river. It's a great place to relax, enjoy the fresh air, and have a few beers with your pizza. Overall, this place has potential. If they focused more on cleanliness and improved the quality of some of the food, it could be a much better experience.
