Sloane's is the cutest place and my new favorite Waco cocktail bar. It's a tiny space, but that makes it intimate and cute. There is a heavy retro vibe with neon signage, old movies being projected on the wall, and old radios scattered on tables. The table is given goldfish crackers upon seating, which is the best thing to ever happen to me. We also always had water glasses without asking. The drinks are super cute and Instagramable if that's your thing. They have unique vintage glasses and metal straws. Even the shots come with cute garnishes. I think the drinks were less pricy than I've seen at other cocktail bars, which I appreciated. Our server, Austin, was the best and anticipated all of our needs. He had great recommendations and was super helpful. I'm not sure if the table side service is just for covid, but it was nice. They close fairly early for a bar, so start at Sloane's! read more

Disappointing Birthday Experience I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my recent experience at Sloans. My friends and I decided to celebrate my birthday there, expecting a fun night out. Instead, we were met with an unexpected and shocking level of rudeness from the bar staff. As soon as we arrived, the atmosphere felt off. They tried to kick my of age friend out of the bar for not having her ID. Along with this, they profusely pressured us to order drinks. I hope the management addresses this issue because this bar has potential-- but the staff needs to learn a thing or two about kindness and customer service. Until then, I won't be returning. Well I probably will because the vibe rocks but staff needs to step it up in the kindness department. Tori is amazing though, love that bartender. read more

Sloane's is the cutest little cocktail lounge that made me think just for a second that I wished I lived in Waco. Their holiday decor was so darling and the ambiance was perfect for a girls night out. Its dark and intimate while also being fun and interesting. The cocktails weren't insanely expensive and were very good, and strong. I definitely only needed one but hey I saved money! The best part was without a doubt the complimentary goldfish table snack. Im notoriously a bit dramatic but having goldfish on hand while drinking a cocktail changed my life. Definitely will be returning to Sloane's the next time I am in Waco. read more

We had the most odd experience at Sloans last night and honestly they have the worst drinks (super sugary). We were a party of 7 (all middle aged people; 45-53 years old). All professionals and business owners. We were there for almost 4 hours and got "cut off" from drinking. We had 3 gentlemen drink 6 (1 ounce whiskey pours) each in a 4 hour period. That is less than 2 drinks (1 ounce pours) per hour. I had 1 and a half drinks in that same 4 hour period (couldn't even finish the second one because honestly it was that bad). 2 ladies had 2 drinks in the 4 hour period and 1 gentleman in our party did not have a drop of alcohol. The waitress told us we were "cut off because she "felt" we had too much to drink already". WHAT?!?! She said we could talk to the owner if we wanted to and we said of course we would like to. The "owner" walked over and I politely asked what the problem was. She was immediately defensive and responded with "my server feels you have had enough to drink and I trust my servers judgement". Not for nothing but the server looked like she was 12 years old and couldn't even answer questions regarding their own drink menu. Yet this "businesswoman" trusted her servers "judgement" that we had too much to drink. Are you kidding me? She went on to say that we were being too loud and she could hear us all the way from the bathroom. First of all, my living room is bigger than this place and if we were too loud, it was because we literally were struggling to hear each other over the music, after all this is a bar, not a library. Terrible service, mediocre drinks, if you are a middle-aged professional/business owner, take your hard earned money somewhere else! This place is a joke! We will never return nor do we recommend this place to anyone. ZERO stars! read more

Love the vibe here! It was my first time coming to Sloane's and I loved it. It's a small space, but it's cute. Great for a girls night out. I felt so safe & welcomed here. I got a French 75 and the Purple Rain. Both drinks were so good! They freshly squeeze the lemon juice. You can tell they care about the quality of their drinks and the ingredients that go into it. Bartenders were so nice and they gave us goldfish crackers as a snack. read more

Sloans has, on two visits, become our favorite place in Waco to hang out. The bartenders are very friendly and knowledgeable, prices are reasonable, but the atmosphere is the real reason this is one of our favorites. First, they are always playing incredible music and clips from great movies. It's a great volume, very active but not so loud you have to shout. The bartenders are very attentive, sweet, and come to your tables with water, drinks, and goldfish. The drinks are incredibly creative and well crafted. We love Sloanes!! read more

My first time here was Friday, Sept. 17. I've recently been exploring Waco's options for bars-ain't much it offers. However, this place, this place is a gem. The drinks are fairly priced, the atmosphere is chill but provides a nice ambience (not too loud), the bartenders are epic (Elijah is pretty cool), and they provide complimentary Goldfish! I'd rate this place 8/10 (only for what's next), and definitely recommend it. The only downside is that I came back a week later, twice in the same evening, and it was at max capacity (it's a small room), so my friend and I were turned away both times. Sloane's is my comfort place! It's cozy inside and is a good spot to go to during their happy hour(the lighting is so pretty in there at that time w their cool glass corner) and a fun environment at night. They've also been incredibly respectful of covid restrictions and have made Sloane's a safe space to be(even with this whole pandemic going on)! Their drinks are INCREDIBLE. I've tried to make their cocktails at home and it's just never as good as it is there. Their staff is extremely inviting and friendly. They always make sure their customers are taken care of(cocktail recommendations, goldfish as a little snack, and water so you stay hydrated). I highly recommend Sloane's if you're looking for a unique bar to go to in Waco(that makes you feel like you aren't even in Waco). A great date spot and perfect place to grab a drink with some friends. My favorite drink is the Day Off(and the Baby Aspirin for nights I don't feel like drinking alcohol(ps they have a NA menu))!
