I did pickup so that needs to be taken into acct. I ordered the Asian salad with salmon, added avocado and extra dressing. I asked to include plastic wear and they did that as well as a stack of nicer napkins. If you spend a lot of time in hotels these things are important! The salad was good, the salmon was very well done (crispy) but fine and tasty. I'm so glad I got the extra dressing, it can be hard to order online, but the salad wouldn't have been as good without it. The only 4 stars was because of the avocado, is it actually their fault? Debatable. I paid $2 extra and I t was cut into really small pieces so I almost didn't notice it and they were super hard! If I ate there I'm sure they would have taken it off. But overall salad was really good and ready when I got there! read more

Went back to BJs after enjoying our last trip for the monkey bread, but man was it a different experience this time. The ambiance was alright for a family outing, but that's where it ends. The service was pretty bad. Constantly had to ask for water refills, took her 15mins to come back and tell a person their beer wasn't available, and never asked if we needed anything after the food was delivered. The food was lack luster. I asked for extra cheese on my pizza and I paid for it, but this was the poorest case of extra cheese I have seen. Another person got a pizza and they barely had any toppings, so maybe it's just sad how little they put into their pizzas that are supposed to be "overhauled and better than ever". Stick to just the pizookies, the food is meh. read more

Always a tried and true - the Sunday prime rib with soup or salad, two sides, and a Pazooki (we had the Dubai - yum!) never fail to satisfy. Cooked as requested for the prime rib. Server was conscious without hovering. The kitchen was a little heavy-handed on the pepper used in the grilled vegetables for our taste, but they were still a decent eat. read more

Food was really good. Wanted prime rib which menu says they start serving at 4 but was informed it would be 430 or later. Hostess, Vanessa, was the rudest person I've ever encountered at this BJ's. read more

We have gone to BJ's a few times for JUST pizookies and have not gotten good service anytime. There was a specific waitress who didn't ask us for drinks, and then threw our straws on the table. When I asked for more water, she rolled her eyes. When she brought out our "refills" she only filled the cups half way. read more

Wow, I've been to many BJs and this is by far the worst. First off, spent $100 for horrible food. Didn't get my drink, probably dashers fault. My wings came with no sauce, fine I'll use bbq sauce from fridge... my eggrolls were definitely undercooked and bottom was soggy, greasy, and mushy. And then my favorite entree which is the cherry glazed salmon was EXTREMELY over salted... I mean it was so bad I couldn't even eat it. I'm new to Waco but I've had BJs at several locations so I can compare. For the amount of money you spend here I expect better quality, much much better. What a disappointment and waste of my money. read more

Popular location, Saturday night after the Baylor Bears win over BYU, we decided to eat at the bar. Very attentive And professional staff, excellent bartender. We had the salmon, steak and a burger at the table all cooked and seasoned perfectly, great sides and served quickly. I know this is a chain and provides the same great food and service everywhere. I will be back! read more

BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse - Excellent Draft selection at the bar. - New American Near Me - Waco, Texas

I love popping in here on the weekends. Environment is usually not too loud or obnoxious. I like the dark (but not too dark) ambiance. Bar is spacious and had a pretty solid selection of drinks. Food is decent. I like the wings. The bartender, Anthony is awesome and a pleasure to have working behind the bar. Always informative of what's on tap and what's best. He's the man. Highly recommended. read more

Awesome desserts and appetizers. However, the staff is usually slow to clear tables, give refills, or check in. we often find ourselves waiting a while to ask for sauces or the check. The prime rib dip is absolutely horrible though. It even smells bad. Stick to pasta, pizza, wings, and burgers. Overall, this place is pretty expensive for what it offers. read more

Second time I've invited my wife for lunch. She works at Dillards. Twice I have found it empty of customers whether lunch or dinner. Service is good although I feel bad for the servers that have to serve that terrible food on behalf of the fast food cooks. Ambiance is good. Management needs to take it cooks to the casi di Brazil or the longhorn grill to learn how to cook. Prices are way too high for the food that is served. read more

Hostess was rude the food is ok, nothing to write home about, will never go back there again.

Oh my goodness! BJ's food was fantabulous! The service was great and the atmosphere was awesome! I got a steak and a yummy baked potato! My hubby had some kind of pulled pork and he truly loved it! The little rolls that came with the kids meals were sooo good too! Next time, we will have to order some of those for ourselves. The kids meal was a very healthy amount of chicken tenders and fries! My adult daughter got a great scampi pasta meal that I had the pleasure of tasting as well. It was absolutely delicious! The service was excellent. This restaurant appeared to be clean and tidy! The waitress was wearing a mask and I'm pretty sure she had gloves on too! Next time we go to BJ's, I've heard that we must try their dessert with the warm cookie and ice cream! I cannot wait! read more

My wife and I went to BJs for lunch today. We had decent food and my wife had a fabulous Expresso Martini. If you go to this restaurant, I would strongly suggest you ask for a server named Elena. We don't go here that often, but the last two times, months apart, we were graced to have Elena as our server. She is top of the line and one of the friendliest servers we have ever had anywhere. Tip her well! read more

I went here for the second time, and I was not disappointed the first time I went here I had the original wings which was crafted by a cook named Jacob. This being my second time I asked Jacob still worked here but he was on pasta tonight so I decided to order the deep dish ziti and it did not disappoint. It reminded me of the way mother used to cook it back in the old country it was so amazing with flavor And wonderful presentation that I decided to order a second one to go once again Jacob astonished me with his cooking skills and I will be back for a third time. In my opinion, Jacob may be the greatest cook of all time. I'm shocked this Bjs does not have a Michelin star. read more

The service and food were fairly good. The safety of the restaurant, not so much. Our back window was broken our luggage and all of our valuables were gone. Spent the evening with the local PD in the parking lot (who were amazing). I would not go back because their cameras were broken and we lost over $20,000 of our daughter's chemotherapy drugs. If you choose to go, you may enjoy your evening with the local PD. So, it's a No for me! read more

Great food. Big selection. Service was great. Typical BJ's restaurant as far as ambiance goes.

Jason Scott Adkins was our waiter, originally it was supposed to be some other waiter that just made us wait without greeting us or even drinks. He goes by Scott, anyways. Scott was awesome! Took good care of us, amazing personality, great attitude, he was actually a waiter that enjoyed his job/serving others/and HELPING. Instead of a someone with no personality/horrible attitude/and one's that just want to go home and not be here serving customers. I've come to this location many many times in the last 3 years, table sitting 5-12 people randomly. OVERALL TODAY WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!! THANK YOU SCOTT!! We will be back requesting you!! All other servers need to take a lesson from him, make your customers happy and be sure everything is fresh like today. You're the man Scott! read more

I ate here several years ago and really enjoyed it. But when my daughter suggested we eat here while we were in town I was a bit confused by the low reviews. And I still am because we had a great evening. We were seated by the manager who made us feel welcomed. And although we were a large group and the place was quite busy the service was impeccable. We had a variety of drinks including the sangria flight and everyone enjoyed them. I had the Grand Cru, a Belgian Style Ale which, having lived in Belgium for 3 years, I can say was spot on. We started with the calamari as an appetizer and I had the Spicy Peanut Chicken. Delicious! We finished with dessert which was a great end to a wonderful meal. read more

We came to eat on Easter Sunday about 5:00 pm. Served by a waitress who wished she wasn't there. She did an okay job but not friendly. We ordered burgers and our hamburger buns were dry. Tired and hungry so we didn't say anything. I've been to BJs in OKC. This one doesn't live up to standards. read more

Not sure why the overall 3 rating ... we had a fine experience! Colton served and he was attentive, gracious, punctual. All the things you want from a great server without nagging or being obtrusive. 4 in our party; 2 split a good salad, grandson have a chicken sandwich which he declared 'great'. I had a Jalapeño burger which was cooked to perfection, absolute perfection! Tasty too. Not sure what you're looking for that BJ's can't provide but 3 ratings? Really? You likely should be spanked..... just sayin' read more

Food and service was outstanding. Quality and taste was excellent. Recommend this restaurant..

Went to Bjs 12/06/24, the service was horrible and had to tell the waitress 5 times to please bring my salad. She obviously had a very bad attitude and I didn't get my salad until my main plate came out. I ordered the sirloin with shrimp, my steak was completely raw, couldn't eat it at all. Plate was supposed to come with BBQ sauce and never received it. I will not be going back at all. Horrible customer service. read more

Gotta tell you. I love BJ's...Alehouse. USUALLY... I'm gonna blame the waitress on this one. We had a steak and 2 hamburgers...with fries. It was a long wait...then the food came out. NO fries. Not cooked...wait...WHAT? not cooked? (APOLOGIES FROM THE MANAGER) who didn't come out. Ok. But we were gifted a pazooki. (Little consolation) Fries came out after we ate the burgers. Not piping hot like "just out of the fryer"! I get MADE TO ORDER fries from McDonald's! But I wasn't in the drive thru! I was at BJ's in Waco. We paid the bill and left...don't know what else to tell you...(sigh) read more

Thanks Kristen for the great service! Always happy to see you! You make BJ's the place to be on any afternoon! We appreciate you.

if i could do 0 stars i would, i wanted to take my wife on a new years date so we both decided to try something new like "BJ's" . we go in and had to sit our self's down because the hosts told us they had already cleaned one side of the restaurant. i ordered a burger that came with "unlimited fries" upon finishing my fries , the manger approached me and told me i couldn't share my fries with my hot wife. will never go back and i will definitely tell anyone i can to not go to waco bj's read more

Location is great... the service is pretty good. The staff is fast & friendly. The Pizza is great but the other menu items are not so great. I have tried 4 other items besides pizza and they all were not good. The AVOCADO EGG ROLLS were very bad. The "wonton wrap" was not a true wanton. It was dry & tasteless and more like bread. Definitely not thin & crispy... which makes me sad because I love these at Cheesecake Factory. So if you want pizza, it's good but if your wanting anything else it's probably not a good place to go to. read more

Anthony Always takes great care of us! He is always polite and makes sure we have everything we need.

Was genuinely surprised. Never been to BJ's before but I always had that thought in my mind that it was on the same level as Applebees, where the food is fairly awful. In this case, however, I was very impressed. The service at this location in Waco was very kind and respectful. We ordered the Simple Beginnings platter for the table, but since they started making it a little late, they decided to make it free for us, which was nice of them. For a larger group (We had 4), I would definitely recommend the platter because you get to try all of the main appetizers in one order. The Avocado Egg Rolls were easily my favorite - they even had the dipping sauce. The avocado was fresh and the other ingredients were quite tasty as well. The mozzarella sticks were decent too but the cheese dried up pretty quickly. I think everyone avoided the Spinach Artichoke dip for some reason - it wasn't bad, just not worth eating when we had so much other food. For an entree, I ordered the jalapeño burger with a veggie patty - you can replace any of the burgers with a veggie patty. Nothing amazing, but definitely tasty and filling. I didn't finish the side of fries at all; they were good, but got soggy pretty quickly. Also got a beer, specifically stout, on tap to go with the burger and it was a great complement As per supposed tradition, we got the BJ Pizookie for dessert, but in this case we got the Pizookie trio which is 3 smaller pizookies so you can try different flavors. And that was easily the best part. We got the chocolate chip, triple chocolate, and monkey bread. All 3 were good, but I like the simple flavors and chocolate chip was easily my favorite. The other two were great as well. If you're looking for an easy, quick, relatively cheap meal in Waco, look no further than BJ's. read more

Worst service ever. First, we never got utensils. I had to ask for them. Our server, will call her "Rhonda"never did she once come to our table to see how we were doing. Never got or asked if we needed refills on our drinks. No condiments were brought to our table. I spent $140. I could at least gotten a courtesy of acknowledgement that we were there by our server. Very upsetting and disappointing. The place wasn't busy at all. Rhonda would wait on other tables but ignored mine. I will never go back to this place again. Extremely disappointed. read more
