1st time visit to C&B. Will give it 3 stars and that's pushing it. Live nearby & always wanted to try C&B to see what was all about, read the online reviews prior to going. 4 star reviews overall. Except for 4-star atmosphere inside (really nice/quaint/romantic/nice setting), the food & service were 2-3 stars tops. Probly the service was 1-2 stars with food being 2-3 at best. I can cook better pasta at home than what I ate tonite. Service was terribly slowww & pasta dishes decent-to-good but nothing to write home about. Bread & olive oil brought to table was best thing. Had the tiramisu-in-a-cup for dessert. Sounded great from menu description but as they're featuring a "summer" version of the tiramisu, it was more like berry pie than tiramisu (came with strawberries, blackberries, choc sprinkles, & wh. creme, but with very few traditional bread/lady fingers inside). Don't think I'll be back. Only reasons would be: 1) for the atmoshpere alone, & 2) only if friends dragged me there. And for the hefty price tag, NO WAY will I be back for the "Meh" food quality & lack-luster service received!! Sorry, C&B, my friends & I tried to appreciate you but you unfortunately let us down for the most part. Better luck next time. read more

I wasn't super impressed with this place. I felt that the menu was kinda limited with vegetarian options. I shared a pizza, which was ok. The ambience and our waitress were super nice, though. read more

Nice place. Nothing that special. Wife has salmon pasta said it was good and tasty. I had the spaghetti meat sauce that was good but my bad for spending $19 for that. We were there for the company with two other couples. It was too loud for all of us to hear each other - maybe two couples but across a table for six just too hard. Yes the bread is awesome. And the staff was well trained the manager attentive. Chef came out very nice (my friend had met the owner prior$. So I'm sad to give the place a 'meh but it's just not amazing for an $80 night. read more

Went here for Thanksgiving dinner. Food was good but the way they did the plates had bit to be desired. Had you pick 4 sides. Wasn't clear if that was for each person or the table. But when they did serve food, everything came together on 1 plate, meat and all 4 sides. Sides need to come on side plate so can take what we want and, even more important, many don't like when food runs altogether, esp hot and cold (Cranberry Sauce with all else). read more

Being Italian, I am just a big fan of Italian food. This place is my favorite. Very good portions. The chicken parmesan sandwich is to die for. Good staff. read more

Excellent food and very good service. I come here frequently for lunch and each time it's always been very high quality food and a place I can count on to bring clients and employees. Most recently the wait staff had a complete mess up and each thought the other was waiting our table and it caused us to awkwardly try and figure out who was supposed to wait on us and after overhearing some Rock Paper Scissors type of conversation, we finally got a waiter. That wasn't impressive. However the food was great as always. I just think the staff needs some tweaking in their polish. read more

New manager and wait staff puts Cibo back on our list! Excellent wine list, refreshed menu, and Chef Linda was making pizza. We had a great night! read more

Good solid Italian food, imaginative menu, good service, affordable wine list. Large birthday party and everybody left happy. Far exceeded expectations. Definitely will return. read more

We walked into this lively restaurant nicely decorated and immediately got seated in a nice booth. The bar was lively & also like the option of sitting @ the chef's table of this open kitchen. A great, vast cocktail menu. I tried the Mississippi Mule-a take off of the Moscow Mule made w/Cathead Vodka, from MS. It was served in a chilled copper mug. My partner had a dirty martini. We shared the Caprese salad. This was a perfect starter. Fresh tomatoes, carmelized onions, and mozzarella with balsamic vinegar on greens. My husband had the clam/pasta special & I tried the pineapple-jalapeno, speck pizza. The wood-fire pizza was perfect too...great flavors & thin, slightly burned crust! My husband enjoyed his pasta. Our waiter was great too. And 2 other plusses. The chef came out to our table as well as a manager....This shows they know how to reach their customers. Impressive and we'll be back! read more

I did not feel welcome the minute I walked in. I arrived here at 9:30 pm on a Friday and sat at the bar to grab a quick dinner. When I sat down the manager made a point to let the bartender know that the restaurant was closing at 10:00pm right in front of me. He also ordered Food 101 and ate it at the bar. I felt glances from the staff that we were intruding and they wanted to hurry up and leave. The bartender was AMAZING though. read more

Went back to Cibo e Beve and am happy to report it was just as good as the first time. We were lucky enough to get Nathan again as our server- just like the first time he was a highlight of our visit- so friendly and personable! I had to order that Caesar salad again because it is just too good to pass up. We also tried the pasta with spicy vodka sauce and shrimp and the short rib and both were outstanding. Will keep going back- just wish I lived closer! read more

I did enjoy Cibo. We have been twice now and while I wasn't super interested in going back after the first time (not that it was bad, just not memorable) I was sold when I saw they had a fair number a gluten free options, including lasagne- seriously, lasagne! I loved it and would highly recommend it, and the only disappointment was that though they had made an effort for gluten free main fare there wasn't any GF dessert other than maybe ice cream. I also had the burrata which was delicious and rich, and the cesar salad which had a poached egg on it- nice touch. The bar has been hit and miss for me, sometimes they have great suggestions other times not so much but that could be related to how busy they are. Too bad they stopped the brunch, I was excited to try it. Overall, I would likely go back but I am not necessarily in a rush. read more

This is the cutest restaurant. Although it is very small the menu packs a big punch. When u go try to sit where you have a view of the kitchen. Their cibo meatballs are the best in the world. Their pasta is freshly made. My favorite pastas are the sausage ragu and the lobster francese. This is also one of the few places in the city that prepares grouper right. For dessert you can't go wrong with anything at all the cheesecake, donuts, tiramisu ... It's all yummy. It does tend to get loud at times and parking is difficult because there are only a few spaces in the front of the restaurant. Oh, I forgot about the bread. You need a least a whole loaf to yourself! read more

Had to come here for a business meeting and I had never heard of this place before. I liked the setting and the food was pretty good. This is a place I recommend if you are going on a date or something to that extent. And the prices were pretty good as well. I had the creamy chicken marinara and plan to come back. read more

Great atmosphere and EXCELLENT service(Thank You Jacob)! The pumpkin ravioli with white sage sauce was amazing!!! The tiramisu was delicious! read more

Great place - love the atmosphere and the food. Only 4 stars because I didn't get what I ordered - but it was delicious nonetheless. Another person had the steak and was very good. Service was good throughout. read more

Ok food but took very long to come out plus they forget an order for one person so he had watch us eat. In order to make up, the owner treated us to free dessert. read more

Great food, great service. A little pricey even for lunch but consistently good food. Also, have been here twice and never have had to wait for a table, so that's been nice. Nicely decorated inside as well/ read more

Don't get the Brie Nutella Pannini! The Caprese salad was delicious and the Carbonara was delicious.

The food and atmosphere were amazing! Went with a group of girls, and every single one of them loved their food. I do think the prices are a bit pricey, but not too far off compared to others. They have seasonal menus, so I would suggest checking their menu on their website before visiting. The service was fine. When they get busy, I can see how service starts to lack in some areas. Nothing that would keep me away though. read more

Stopped by last night with the family. Busy place, very nice atmosphere. We didn't have reservations so we sat at a table in bar area. Had the cheese platter, very good. The cherries that come with it were insane! Dinners were ok. My mother-in-law had the lasagna, great flavor but the center was cold. i had the lobster spaghetti, pretty good but a little too spicy. My wife had the Tagliatelle Carbonara and totally loved it. All and all, we're happy to have discovered this place and will be back to give it another try. read more

BEST. CALAMARI. EVER. Came here last Tuesday and loved everything about the visit. Great food, fantastic wines, wonderful service. Highly recommend! read more

Great food and wine selections. The meatballs are like Nona made We sit at the bar and the service is friendly and wonderful.

Second time dining at this restaurant and have found the food to be consistently good, The baked pear and meatballs are must try starters. Pork chop, pizzas and melt in your mouth short rib on sweet potato were all winners! The atmosphere is always busy with others diners yet your still able to talk and enjoy those your with. A great addition to Sandy Springs! I will most certainly recommend and return! read more

Try the any of be mule drinks and the salads for a light meal. The cocktail menu is a must!

William was our server and he was amazing! Food was great! If you like poached eggs this is the place for you because everything comes with one! Bread is a little subpar, however the experience and service was perfect! read more

Great lunch. Portion was a bit email. But overall good delish! Great for Company / Client meeting. Waitstaff was very attentive. Wouk def recommend. CLASSY..UPSCALE TRENDY. read more

It's hit or miss here, depending on what you order. My crabcakes were tasty. However, the lobster pasta was incredibly spicy and there was no warning on the menu, no reference to it being hot. Another person at our table ordered a sausage pasta and, it too, was incredibly spicy with no warning. The lasagna was tasty. However, for an Italian restaurant, they did not have enough traditional Italian dishes. read more

Not impressed. Ordered the lasagna it was two layers with no meat. Hate to say it ... . The lasagna at the butcher shop next door is hands down way better and its frozen and less money. I thought maybe its just mine but my boyfriends veal marsala was not that impressive either. . I was just sadly disappointed for such a simple classic Italian dish to be served so badly. Unfortunately i don't think ill return. read more

Excellent Food, Drinks and Service Went to Cibo this past weekend with my wife as a quick getaway from the kids. We have been to Food 101 and have heard great things. Cibo did not disappoint!! First off, the staff was wonder full. Very attentive without going over the line to naggy. The setup in the restaurant is great. We were able to enjoy our conversation even while the restaurant filled up around us. Next time we will bring another couple or two so that we can take advantage of the cool booths and corner tables. The drinks were fantastic. The wine list is extensive but its the bar menu that got me. I had the Chatham County Line - This is a bourbon based drink that is infused with Pecans and has a Hickory Smoke added. Never had or heard about this before. I will definitely have these again. I give the food 5-stars as well. Everything from the bread, our Meatballs and Calamari appetizers to desert were great. Already planning to come back with friends. read more

Very good food and drinks. Love that they have traditional and modern style meals. Lobster pasta was kind of bland. Mushroom pizza was great. The carbonara was good not great. Fun drink menu and good wine list. I love the casual atmosphere for an upscale restaurant. Definitely will be returning when in the area! read more

Nicole from NYC rocks. She best server I've had in a very very long time here! Thank you!!!

We ordered through Eat 24 hoping for the best. The food took an hour and twenty minutes, it was cold, and we ordered two pasta entrees and got no bread or anything with it. We spent $65 and it wasn't worth half of that. Very disappointed and will not be ordering from here again. read more

very nice place, pizzas are very very good. We went there a friday night with 2 kids of 3 years old and everybody was super nice with us. I highly recommend the place. read more

Cibo is the newest restaurant on the block, and I think the best yet! The atmosphere is classy and intimate, the food is simple and refined with amazingly well-developed flavor, and the drinks... mmmm. PS: They make the most fantastic manhattan I have ever had. read more

This place rocks. I went the second night they were open and it was already good. I've been 4 times now and virtually everything has been fantastic. Braised lamb belly with polenta is my favorite dish, great polenta. Tuna crudo, gorgonzola stuffed figs, short ribs, quail, and numerous other dishes. Prices are good, food quality is excellent and a comfortable small space. Pizza and pasta are pretty good for sure but all the other stuff is even more interesting. I love the cooking style with roots in Italy but certainly a modern American sensibility to the approach. read more

I wanted to love this place. I love Italian food, I love wine and I love this side of Atlanta. My husband and I have been in town for 5 months now and decided to give this joint a shot. I ordered the Brisket Cannelloni, and he ordered the wild mushroom risotto. My Cannelloni was meat filled and rather heavy, I was hoping for more of a filling featuring fluffy ricotta and brisket instead of a dense log of shredded meat. My husband's risotto to be fair was okay. The rice grains were cooked well but the overall consistency of the dish was too dry. The mushrooms were mini portabella type chopped in quarters and cooked with the rice. Nothing screamed wild or at least exotic like oyster, Chanterelles or porchini. I had hoped for a sauteed mushroom to add condensed flavor, I suppose that is what the plate lacked, real deep mushroom flavor. The use of truffle to compensate was overpowering and I had wished it was notated on the menu that the risotto had truffle essence/oil/salt etc. Some people enjoy that funky earthy flavor and others do not. I had 2 glasses of Italian Pinot and my husband a glass of Cali white. We asked for the dessert menu and the waitress spouted it off hinting at her favorite, a gelato pie with bacon infused Oreo crust. It was disappointing at best, we sent it back. The pecan gelato had that gritty feeling like it had been defrosted and refrozen.... not appetizing I daresay. Overall I can say I won't be returning, the food was not worth the money spent, I'd rather spend the money on great wine and cook at home. read more

This was our second visit as we were celebrating my wifes birthday. Once again we had a fantastic experience. Jacob was our server and was knowledgable, attentive and very peronable. We highy reccommend CIbo e Beve and will return soon! read more

Great décor, good food, abysmal service! I had lunch at Cibo e Beve yesterday, as I had heard good things about the new neighborhood Italian restaurant. There were only three tables occupied during my entire visit, but the lone waiter delivered very poor service. He actually joined another table and drank wine with them instead of serving my table and the other table! I had finished my salad before the glass of wine I had ordered arrived. I eventually gave up on trying to order a coffee after the meal, as I couldn't get the waiter's attention. Bread, drinks, meal, desert, etc. were very poorly timed by the waiter who clearly had very little experience in that role. The food, however, was wonderful! I will try this place again after they have had more time to settle in and train the wait staff. read more
