My wife and I had been to this restaurant on prior occasion although didn't realize it until we arrived. We were promptly seated for dinner and my wife asked for a ginger beer to which the server indicated he didn't think they served ginger beer. My wife indicated that it's on the menu so the server lost instant credibility by saying they didn't have it, and didn't bother to say he would go check. The server brought chips and salsa which we thought were ok. The chips were really thin and the salsa was runny to the point I got it all over the table. Despite asking the server for napkins, he didn't bring any after 10 mins of waiting. I ended up going to the kitchen and asking if I could have napkins and brought them back to the table myself. Totally ridiculous that a customer has to serve themself. Restaurant cleanliness appeared to be problematic with napkins and debris on the floor, and tables that took 30 mins to get cleaned after patrons left. My wife had fajitas and thought they were good. I had a burrito that had a very thick tortilla to the point I felt like I was eating bread. Some of the steak in the burrito was medium-rare despite not being asked for my preference of how I wanted it cooked. You would think that would be well done in this instance. Needless to say, my wife said we're not returning and I'm not going to fight her over it. I don't recall our first experience being this way but the service and food have definitely changed for the worst.

The ambiance and food are ok. The problem is the service. It was mediocre. I felt like I was bothering. Just polite enough so I don't say they weren't. The first time we went I felt meh about it. I still feel that way. So many good Mexican restaurants I don't think we would come back to this one. It's more like a 2. Experience but I have to give credit to the food being decent so a 3 it is.

The service here is great and is probably be the best thing about this restaurant. Servers were very attentive and I think even the manager came over and checked on us. The drinks (margaritas) aren't bad either although we went for the cinco de mayo promo and it was unclear what was actually the size of the drink that was promoted on their social medias. The food is subpar and not that good so I probably wouldn't come back for the food and that's what's bringing the rating of this down. They do give you complementary chips and salsa but the salsa is very spicy so if you don't like that then to are stuck with the homemade sauce

3.5 overall, accommodating a large party on couple hours notice. Give benefit of doubt on service given 25+ people. Relatively small menu, above average prices; "large" line margarita (1.5/5 stars) was a 12oz plastic glass for $12. "Taco salad" was a basic green salad w chicken (1.5/5 stars, $14) -- not conventional shell bowl with spices and flavor. Steak burrito itself was big but rice and beans were cold and cheese wasn't melted (2.5/5 stars, $16). Plenty of parking. Decor was Americana auto. Gender specific restrooms hidden in back corner.

The restaurant is very well decorated, I loved the vibe overall. Our waitress was nice, and came to check up on us several times. Food took a little bit of time to come out, but then again it was Mother's Day. The complimentary chips/salsa/queso held us over as we waited for our food. The Chuychanga was very tasty, my new favorite item on the menu. The Tex-Mex Chicken Burrito Bowl was decent, and the Chicken Fajitas were also pretty standard as well. I did appreciate that the portions were large. Would visit again!

What a great place for Sunday lunch with a friend! Hadn't been here in years, but met a friend for lunch. Service was excellent & our waiter kept checking in with us as we were busy devouring chips and salsa rather than looking at the menu. Ordered the raspberry margarita and wow, what a delicious treat. Raspberry may be my new favorite margarita flavor. The chicken chimichanga was so filling (along with the chips and queso), so I took more than 1/2 of it home. It was just as tasty when I reheated it the next day. Love the decor, it's very festive and fun.

I returned and had another great meal, the Comida Deluxe. Cheese enchiladas (they added diced onion inside by request, thanks), chicken flautas, steak taco with fixings. Neat thing is I got all this for a few bucks more than a Big Mac meal. Managers Geoff and Lacy were all over the place talking care of diners. Keep up the good work. I'll be back again.

The vent in the ceiling.

This is the location 11219 Lee Hwy Fairfax, VA 22030 United States Been here several times. Food and service have gone downhill. Also not a clean place. They apparently don't look up. Here's a picture of just one of the air vents in the ceiling right above a table where people sit under eating. If it's this disgusting in the dinning room, imagine how disgusting it is where they cook.

Chuy's used to be my SPOT back in them good ole college days! It's so great to know that they are still the bomb.com! The service was excellent and the food was oh so divine! Absolutely no complaints. Chips was fresh, salsa had a kick, green dipping sauce was a drug, and my enchiladas was mouth watering good. Definitely will include this back into my rotation when I have the craving.

The taco salad had under cooked chicken and overcooked chicken all in one. Yuck! This place has rapidly gone downhill.

The Combination platter of Paneer Enchilada and Potato Spinach and Cheese Taquito along with an a la carte Caulilflower taco was a great way to sample the menu! The Paneer Kathi roll is hands-down the best kati roll I've had! The Paneer Enchilada hit the spot with a creamy cheesy Tikka sauce while the the Spinach Cheese Potato Masala Taquito had a spicy kick! The Mexican rice was great for mopping up the sauce and absorbing the spiciness. It was a bummer the Cauliflower Taco wasn't an option for the Combination Platter of 3 (only the meat tacos were an option). I'm glad I ordered it a la carte for $8 - it was worth it! The crispy Cauliflower had a sweet and tangy sauce stuffed in 2 thin tortillas. Interestingly enough, all 3 items - the Enchilada, Taquito and taco had completely different sauces and flavors. The Happy Hour from 3-6:30pm Mon-Fri has good deals - try the Kathi Paneer roll! The roll is a generous size with tender scrumptious paneer stuffed in warm cheesy tortilla. I'll opt out of the jalapenos/chili next time. it added a spicy kick! The Masala Fries were like Indian version of spicy Disco fries. They were fun to try, but they were soggy from all of the sauce and a bit too spicy. I wish the sauces came on the side. The $8 flavored Margarita on happy hour is a great deal. I enjoy the Guava Margarita. The complementary chips were fine and a bit salty, nothing really special (I wouldn't fill up on them). The giant Watermelon Pina Colada Mocktail was very sweet and tasted like watermelon cotton candy slushie. My daughter loved it! I wasn't a fan of the Classic Margarita, Mezcal Passion fruit Margarita, or the Sangria on happy hour, the flavors weren't quite balanced out. The drinks were very tangy flavor and I wish the sangria was a bit sweeter and had a heavy flavor from the Triple Sec. I threw up outside the restaurant after drinking the Mezcal Passion fruit Margarita. Note - the restaurant doesn't take online or phone reservations for parties under 10, but I didn't wait long (10 min) for a party of 5 for Saturday lunch at 1pm (3 of 5 had to be there). Excited to come back to satisfy my cravings for the Paneer Enchiladas and Paneer Kathi Roll and Guava Margarita on happy hour!

There are some parking spots right in front, although not many. There is a decent amount of seating, but it would be tight if you had a large party. My partner did note that the bathrooms weren't that great. You immediately get served complementary chips and salsa. They were pretty basic, but not bad. We ordered the following: + Papusas (Pork and Cheese & Loroco and Cheese) - Decent, although I prefer the Loroco (an edible flower bud). + Pollo à la Primavera (chicken dish) - Yummy, especially the sauce which mixes well with their hot/spicy sauce too! I could do without the salad dressing. + Camarones con Calabeza (shrimp dish) - Same as above! Note they leave the tails on. + Natural Juices (Mango and Maranon) - So refreshing! I loved the Maranon (cashew apple) was a wonderful burst of tropical sweetness with a subtle nutty taste. I appreciate that for the pupusas they had the foresight to provide my partner and I two plates so we could sphere the papusas. The portion sizes of the entrees were great for the price. It did take a while for the staff to swing by so that we could get boxes and the check. Note that credit cards and mobile pay are accepted. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back again to try more items on their menu.

Parking was easy with a large garage right next to the restaurant, which made it especially convenient before heading to a show nearby. When we walked in, the bar was packed with people watching the game, and it had a fun, lively atmosphere. It definitely looked like a great place to catch a sporting event. The service was excellent from start to finish. The owner even came over to introduce himself, which was a really nice touch and made us feel welcome. The chips and salsa were good, just what you'd hope for at a quality Mexican restaurant. We ordered the shrimp fajitas, regular fajitas, and a couple of quesadillas from the kids menu. Even though the menu says it's for kids 8 and under, they were happy to let our slightly older kids order from it. It was a fantastic value, although I'd recommend it more for kids around 12 and under based on the portion sizes. Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful, but the standout was definitely the homemade tortillas. They were outstanding. I also asked for a hot sauce, and they brought out a fresh green sauce that completely elevated the meal. I'm not sure exactly what was in it, but it was incredible. Great food, friendly service, easy parking, and a welcoming atmosphere. We'd definitely come back and would highly recommend Rango's to anyone looking for excellent Mexican food in Virginia.

But after our first visit, we were impressed enough with the food that we came back soon after to try more of the menu! We also tried the carne asada, which came covered in a brown gravy--not exactly what we expected to see on our steak! We were hesitant at first, but once we took a bite, we realized it was actually very tasty. Definitely not what we expected based on how it looked. The margarita was okay. On our return visit, we ordered the steak and shrimp, and wow--the flavor was absolutely delicious! The steak had an amazing flavor. We also tried the steak with onions, which comes topped with plenty of sautéed onions. It was very good, but the skirt steak with shrimp is still our favorite. The customer service has been consistently good, and we really enjoy their fresh, tasty chips and salsa. The chips are crisp and flavorful, and the salsa is delicious.
