I've been going to Baja Fresh since I was a kid but haven't been in years, so this was quite nostalgic to me. The food was pretty good. I got the chicken fajitas. Everything tasted fresh from the pico de gallo to the chicken itself. Only complaint is that the chicken was overcooked a bit. The plate also came with guac, sour cream, fajitas, flour tortillas, and chips. The flour tortillas were clearly not made it house but what can you expect from a chain restaurant. The tortilla chip quality had also gone down. Texture was weird and they kinda tasted old. Everything else though was really good. Their all u can grab salsa bar was just as amazing as I remember. Service was good for a fast casual chain restaurant. Wish they created a bit more conservation. No complaints though. The place was also kinda cool. Nothing has changed since my childhood (born in 2001). Same old-timey vibes with checkered floors and vintage decor. Some might say it feels out-dated or not good looking/"trashy" but I personally really liked that style. All in all it was a great throwback to my childhood. Everything was pretty good. DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY ON THEIR WEBSITE!!! I ordered food for delivery directly from the Baja Fresh website from the Fairfax Town Center location. It changed my card and showed that it was waiting to be picked up by the delivery driver. The Baja Fresh website said the delivery would be done by Uber. The Baja Fresh website tracker never moved past "pick up in progress" and the food never came. I called the restaurant and the person on the phone told me to call Uber. He said it was my problem because they don't deliver. He refused to give me a refund. Uber has no record of the purchase because I ordered through the Baja Fresh website. I can't get any assistance or refund from Uber for an order that did not go through their website. Baja Fresh basically stole $42.78 from me. I have been a long time customer of Baja Fresh but I will NEVER go back to that location. read more

It's a decent place. My opinion is the burritos are the best. Get one with cheese on top. You'll definitely be full. As for the bowls and tacos here, they are okay. Nothing too exciting, but they are fine for lunch. Good location. It's in Fairfax Town Center, in the back across from the movie theater. Employees are very nice and efficient. Ok, so I've actually never been to baja! My my is a school bus driver and always gets little gifts and stuff for the holidays from her students. Someone gave her a gift card and well-- she knows I'm currently employeed at a non profit, in social work no less- so ya girls a little tight on the money. Got it to go because I got off work a little early & wanted to eat in the comfort of my own home. So when I pulled this thing out to eat I was FLOORED by how freakin big it was. If I had known in advance I would have saved it for next week (spending the card) because who knows that when you can make one meal last two days, it's a very good thing. It was pretty good. The pork was great! The only thing that made me sad is I should've just eaten it there. The nacho cheese hardened pretty fast :( SO, the experience was a great one! It's been a couple of years since my last visit. The dining room was clean and the staff friendly. The salsa bar is still very good and was stocked fresh. The pricing has gone up considerably with tacos over $5 and chips and guacamole over $8. We spent $43 for the two of us. The fish and shrimp tacos were a little too wet but the steak taco remains very good. I would probably come more often if it weren't for the price. read more

I did have questions however about some of their menu items, and I felt that whoever the female employee was with glasses was short and not helpful at all. She was not nice. If this employee was at all decent, I probably would have ordered the steak taco combo with the corn flour tortilla. I got the impression that she didn't want to help me, really more focused on joking with her co-worker. Her coworker kept calling her "negra" which is a slur in Spanish. The good thing about dining in is the salsa bar. Different salas are available from sweet to spicy level. Pickled jalapeños are sliced into a bite size. I ordered several dishes but my main dish was Grilled Shrimp Chile Lime Salad. First of all, I couldn't believe their size for $9.99. Very generous amount of salad and I liked their quality of grilled shrimp. I would go there again. I liked their quality of ingredients. It was fresh and well cooked in baja style. I've always eaten my Baja Ultimo Steak, no sour cream or cheese substituted with Guacamole. Years of the same old thing. Today, I tried their Chipotle Chicken Salad with guacamole dressing (on the side) got one of their plastic forks and went to town... Their plastic fork couldn't hold the guacamole as I watched in disbelief the slice would back itself off the fork each time this landing on my lap or on the floor. The salad was well made with a variety of ingredients, however the lettuce was cut so big it was 3-4" long pieces and felt I was eating an umbrella! Cut the salad smaller! Get better forks! I personally prefer Chipotle and Qdoba bowls more, but everyone has their own style/taste. Their Burrito Bowls have a lot more veggies in them compared to Chipotle/Qdoba.. and not really much rice. So it all depends on your preference. I really enjoyed their salsas though. They had about 6-8 different types of salsas. What I also found that was unique was while waiting for our TAKEOUT order, they gave us a tray and some chips to dip into salsa while we wait. At Chipotle, you have to PAY for chips and dip. This deceased BUG was in the rice in my taco combo platter. My family and I order carry out from this location every single weekend. Thankfully, I saw the deceased insect embedded in my rice before I ate more then one bite, but unfortunately my parents and 3 year old child had finished their meals (which all included rice) before I noticed. I called the restaurant to let them know and the gentleman on the phone truly seem unbothered by this atrocity. He told me repeatedly to "call Grubhub, they'll refund you." Great service by the cashiers, they are all extremely nice. I come here a lot when I get off work on friday. I drive 30 minutes at least off my route to eat their tortas. Best tortas you could ever have. I personally think the food at this location is better than chipotle or Moe's. They got a cook that I think makes the difference every Friday I come he's here and I remember him from their old sterling location. He's (in my opinion) the reason why their food has improve so much. The guy goes by "picolino" or that's what at least I hear the crew call him. If you're unfamiliar with the chain, Baja Fresh is a phenomenal alternative to the better-known Chipotle. I've been eating at this restaurant for six years and have never been disappointed--or left hungry--once! The menu is full of delicious options with plenty of vegetarian and healthy options for the careful eater, but nothing beats their enormous, big-as-your-forearm burritos and cheesy quesadillas. This place is SUPER CHEAP!! I got a bowl and a burrito for 14$! Both dishes were big enough to have leftovers. I really like this place because it's super cheap relatively healthy, and so easy to get. I like how they give you the free chips and the side bar with the sauces. I will definitely be coming back! I also really like how the tostada bowl is huge!
