I went to Churchkey's last year in May, and yes it's been a long coming since I've reviewed this place. My two friends and I came the day we were going to graduate from high school and had an amazing time. When you enter, it feels fresh and modern. The tables are comfortably close to one another, and the bar (thing idk what it's called okay, dudes) has a lot of choices for 21+ people (again, it's only been a year still not 21 so...moving on). The vibe doesn't feel busy, or anxious but just chill, y'kno. The employees are happy to help if you're confused with the menu, or want more water, etc. My friends and I ordered pizzas which we all enjoyed with tator tots (which is different than what most restaurants would have). Overall, happy staff, interesting choices on the menu (yet so delicious), and epic experience. Came here with a group of 9 of us on a Sunday and we were able to get seated right away. We did have to wait quite a bit for our food but it wasn't too bad. I got the Yum Yum Wings and a side of tater tots. The wings came in a set of 5, but they were HUGE. It was an interesting and delicious flavor if you like savory with a little bit of sweet and spicy kick. There was also some chunks of fried garlic to garnish and that was a great touch! This would be a 3.5 star if I could-- 4 Stars for the place/food, 2 Stars for the service. Great place to take a date and meet up for happy hour. They have a great beer/drink menu, outdoor area with music, and screens for gameday. Foodwise, we had ordered the brunch specials-- chorizo and potato pizza, Plaid hash (brisket with sweet potato, peppers, and eggs), and waffle. The chorizo pizza was solid, although they did go pretty crazy with the olive oil. The chorizo wasn't too spicy and the potatoes gave a nice texture, although I'd recommend a solid texture like corn to it. Plaid hash was solid and the brisket was nice and tender. Waffle was nothing special but was cooked well. Drink-wise they have a very solid beer menu (even have 2015 Bourbon County Stout bottled for $25). They also have a large variety of cocktails and solid whiskeys. Now for the service... we were seated right away but never had a waitress come to our table after waiting for 15 minutes. The host that sat us down eventually took our orders. My sister had ordered a Wasabi Bloody Mary only to have a Michelada brought to our table. When we asked if the drink was a Michelada instead of a Bloody Mary, the waitress said she "thinks" it was. hmmm... When they switched out her drink for a Bloody Mary, it came back extreeemely salty. My sis drinks Dirty Martini's on the regular and even she thought it was unbearable. All in all, I would recommend this place and hope that they work out the operational kinks since it is still pretty new. read more

We stopped going to Commonwealth a long time ago because as soon as the "guy" showed up, their customer service went south & food was not the same. We were told it's because since the show aired, they can't keep up w/ business as it exploded. I get that. But, never forget who was there in the beginning when you started. Their customer service is horrible, especially from Amanda. I was told that from other people as well. But I always form my own opinion. Asked on a freezing, cold, rainy, winter night to turn heater up & close garage style window/door as I was with my daughter & we were shivering in our knee high Hunter boots w/long socks on underneath, she said she couldn't because the "bigger" party that was sitting by this door didn't want it closed. The table next to us was cold too & asked to close it. She said no. I messaged the owners. Amanda responded. Really?? You were the one who refused to close it!! Sorry, you already couldn't help us. I asked her to have owners contact me(the ones who had the time to talk in the beginning when no one knew their name) no one EVER bothered to respond. We have not been back since. Used to be our favorite spot 2-3 times a week ( no lie) Will NOT support a local business w/ bad customer service when you get so popular you forget who was there from the beginning. :( fast forward: Very odd to walk in to Churchkey for first time & no one acknowledges you. Do we order first? Sit down? Wait to be seated? Ugh. No acknowledgement, recognized owner.. walked over to him. Found out he is same owner & employees as Commonwealth.When I recognized him (the owner) I told him I contacted him for my previous concerns at Commonwealth over a year ago...he didn't seem to care. In fact he said" oh, she's here too, right now behind the bar" he apologized for being slammed and dining area being dirty... thank you, I get that. However, you have sooo many employees including Amanda that you pointed out just standing behind the bar doing nothing, come on! Nonetheless, we stayed. Service was awesome this time from our gentlemen waiter. Pizza, ehh.. would rather eat Vinnie's at Chefs of New York. Went with an open mind regardless of the negative reviews by friends. Nice and clean. The service workflow is confusing and half baked. It took the hostess a while to see us. Others who got there after us received service before us. The food overall was...rushed. There is nothing artisan about the pizzas. The dough is really chewy. At times I found myself wresting with the crust like a dog with a leather chew toy. There were 14 small pieces of "sausage" on the entire pie. Some pieces didn't have any(see picture). The tots poutine was a travesty. The best part about it.. the store bought fried tots. The gravy was congealed and salty. The cheese was not melted. I don't think it was even mozzarella. It tasted more like milk curds, which can be tasty but not in this combination. I recommend the owner revisit his vision. Would I come back.... I think I'm gonna pass on this one unless the quality and flavor of the food is improved. read more

First time I came to this restaurant it was with my aunt and her coworkers on their lunch break . I didn't even know this place existed until I got a text saying meet at "churchkeys". (Welp Siri looks like it's just the two of us until then ) once I arrived I noticed the bar and back room . The set up is quite unique . You'll definitely stop for a second and just appreciate the architecture (well at least I did) lol . Ohkay let's talk about food , that's what we are all here for right ?? I had the BONANZA BURGER ! Now if you love a good kick to your burger you'd definitely love this one . Topped with house made BBQ sauce , bacon , ched cheese , jalapeños and onion rings this burger will have your mouth watering just by looking at it . It just sounds good doesn't it ?? The jalapeños will definitely sneak up on you but it will all be worth it . (Well I at least hope so ) Don't forget to order the tots ! They are extremely crispy and delicious! I will definitely be checking out this place again !! I didn't drink the first time I went but I saw they have a great selection of brews . That must be something I'll have to dig into !! Delish pizza and beer- yes please! Was so happy the opportunity came up to try this new restaurant! AND it went great! No delay in service, or screw ups with orders or lack of seating... all typical bloopers that happen to new restaurants. Getting seated is the only confusing part. Just so you know, you seat yourself and your waitress that's assigned to your table will take your order. A little different than the way Commonwealth operates. Then, like a regular restaurant, you pay at the end. Huge beer list with a nice variety of options. We could not pass up trying a couple pizzas for our party of 4. We settled on the 'go-to' and the 'Quattro.' Both so unique and individually delicious. I am looking forward to he next time I can order these pies. Definitely my new favorite pizza place in town. We also ordered the Buffalo wings. I liked the BBQ better than the regular. Regular had some heat and I am weak-sauce when it comes to spicy food. I know my husband appreciated the ample seating and large plasma tvs... quite an upgrade compared to the sister dive, Commonwealth. Also, there's a kids menu so bring the well-behaved little ones. This was my first time at Churchkey and I enjoyed it very much. Myself and two other friends visited on a Friday evening. Good thing we were there before 6:30pm because the place was hopping! Despite the busy crowds, the service was excellent. Our server was very professional, helpful and friendly! I have really enjoyed my experiences here at Churchkey. They have really nice waitresses and waiters. Great Beer selection. Love the Churchkey glasses. My personal recommendation is the High Water Campfire Stout Nitro beer. Great Pizzas, love "the Yardbird!" Nice open place, kinda hidden. We sat at the bar and were promptly given menu's and a carafe of water with two cups. After awhile the blonde that worked at the bar asked what we wanted. 02/06/2019. Eden was our server. Loved the ambiance. Tried the Seoul Bowl. Brown rice with roasted broccoli and roasted cauliflower. Fried egg, kimchi, green onions and Korean BBQ sauce. Only problem? Not enough food! This dish screamed for more rice to fill the bowl. Taste? Fantastic! Service? Fantastic! Give me another couple of veggies and more rice to fill that bowl. Missed 5 stars by 1/4 bowl. Going back again to try other menu items. Oh, I'll bet the outside area is great in the spring and summer. Love Churchkey! Great atmosphere, great food, great cocktails, and great service. We spend approximately 2 1/2 hours here with a group of friends and had the best time! Charlie was our server and he was amazing! Everyone loved their food and the cocktails were fantastic! I recommend the Death by Cab...YUM! Came here at an odd time (around 3) for a late lunch. The atmosphere was nice and our server was great. The food was amazing! We got honey sriracha cauliflower wings...truly the star of the show. Pizza was great too. Reasonable priced, delicious, great atmosphere, what more can you ask for? Went to lunch here today. I've come here several times over the last few years. To be honest the only reason I keep coming back is because I really like their egg and bacon pizza. I haven't tried very many of the alcoholic drinks here, ordered the Pina Colada and I didn't enjoy it at all. They do take a long time to seat you and get your food out weather it's busy or not. Cheese was not melty & flavors were not hitting any taste buds with high notes. The place was not even close to being full so cooks were not back logged.
