Small deli like spot with some seating but mostly for to go orders. I haven't had any actually crispy pork that's crispy and not like very hard pork skin, but this place it was a nice thin crispy skin!! The bbq pork is also just dripping in flavor and tender. They give you plenty of pancakes for the Peking duck. You know how some places stir fry things and it's not all evenly coated? Not here! The beef chowfun is evenly spread out sauce and tender beef. So is the pork fried rice. 100% satisfied belly.

Offal bento (marinated pig ears, intestine, stomach) came with a side of crispy and oily cabbage and white rice. The offal's seasoning may be a little strong for some. The steamed white rice was good and what you expect. Chef Lau's Peking pork chops (sauced version) is good. It does have a lot of pieces that have bones (big and small) that need to be removed as you are eating. There are some pieces where there are less bones. I ordered for takeout, so the sauce (thin, sour and sweet) came in an 8 ounce container. The pork chop meat was tender and meaty. The batter was crispy and wasn't too thick or thin. The honey bbq was a little dry this time, even though it was freshly sliced like usual.

Good place to get quick, cheap, and casual Chinese food! You order at the counter and the food comes in a take out container. Good portion sizes, lots of flavor. The roasted pork was more fatty than I'd like but good. I'd come back!

Definitely order Peking duck, roast pork and pork belly ( get there early) ! Beef chow fun & seafood medley chow mein is excellent too. Very authentic and excellent! We all love the thin hand made crepes with the Peking duck - excellent taste & delicacy. Pork belly was exceptional with incredible crispy skin. Definitely going back for more ... 30 minutes drive to get there / it was worth the drive but wish I live 5 min away We ate our roast duck & ribs already

Great food for the price with generous portions, and everything tasted really good. The staff were very friendly, and our food came out quickly, which we appreciated. The only downside was that it felt a bit stuffy inside, and the dining area could use some attention--our table and the condiments weren't very clean. Overall, still a good value and an enjoyable meal.

My wife and I will be visiting our oldest daughter in Baltimore next week. She missed Chinese BBQ or roasted pork belly and ask us to freeze some and to fly the pork belly with us to her. There is no real Chinese/Cantonese BBQ shack in greater Baltimore area. We were in the area and decided to try Chung Wang. The pork belly ratio of fat to meat was on point. The skin was nicely crunchy. The pork belly needed a little more seasoning. The owner and employees were friendly. The cost per pound was a higher than our favorite shack in Houston Chinatown. But this shack is much closer to our residence and much easier to get to. Overall, we were satisfied and will return to try other BBQ and foods.

When you're not in the mood to cook at home and want a hearty meal, look no further than Chung Wang for some Cantonese BBQ. The customer service is quick, friendly and the entree prices are decent. We got two bento's to-go: Roast Duck over Rice ($12.99) and Soy Sauce Chicken over Rice ($10.99). The meat is about 1/8 of a bird, a full bed of steamed rice, and a pint of sautéed cabbage. Make sure you ask for the minced ginger and chili oil to use as condiments in addition to their slightly sweet soy sauce. The restaurant is more of a takeout spot, as the seating is a bit limited. If you have rice and sides at home, just order some barbecued meats by the pound, a 1/2 or whole chicken/duck, and have a wonderful family feast!

How does this place stay in business? The crispy pork we ordered tonight was overdone and hard to eat. The meat was so tough and leathery. You can't sell this stuff. This slab should have been discarded before serving it to customers.

#13 rice with roasted duck, roast pig and bbq pork.

Solid 4 stars for a to go rice box and 3 meats (duck, roast pig and bbq pork) Plenty of rice and cabbage with flavorful meat. Yum. Classic and simple. Small seating area. Perfect setup for simple good Chinese bbq meats and rice. Service was friendly and nice.

Nestled in a cozy corner of Katy Asian Town, Chung Wang BBQ is a gem for lovers of authentic Cantonese barbecue. The star of the show is undoubtedly the barbecue meats, each carefully prepared to perfection. Whether it's the succulent char siu with its caramelized glaze or the crispy-skinned roast duck boasting tender, flavorful meat, every bite is a symphony of taste and texture. The aroma alone is enough to whet your appetite. Beyond the delicious barbecue offerings, they also offer a selection of traditional Cantonese sides and accompaniments. We tried their Yuan Chow fried rice and absolutely loved the wok flavor in it! The owners are delightful and accommodating with our questions.

Solid place for char siu pork - got a16 and I enjoyed it throughly - a tad salty at times, but cannot complain. Next time, I'd get the char siu only! Beef chow fun is salty and pad see ew (-esque) Cheers!

My sister in law enjoying the soup dumplings, she says it's the best she's ever had!

The meat is always so tender and delicious, we drive 40 mins weekly for a taste! For your first time here we recommend getting one of the plates with all the types of meat so you can know which types you like the most. We were introduced to Chung Wang at the Asia Society's annual Night Market, and feel so lucky ever since.

The restaurant is small and can be loud, but it's what I expect from a small Cantonese restaurant. The service was a little slow. However, they were apologetic because it was a busy night. The wonton soup tasted good! Simple, but clean flavors and not too salty. The Peking duck however, was a let down. The duck was cut very oddly, all chopped up instead of nice thin slices as you can see in the photo. The skin wasn't crispy either. Hopefully, it was just an off night for them.

Heads up though, the XO wok fried cod is more like stir fry, but we still wanted to try it. Waiter said salt & pepper seafood dish would be more crispy. Portuguese egg tarts (3pc) were pretty good; could be more crispy. Looking forward to trying their other dishes in the future.

My experience here at the Katy store fell short of my memory, but objectively the dim sum was still good, if more expensive than I would have liked. I came around 11a on a Sunday and practically had the place to myself. Service was prompt, but it felt like I had three different people tending to me. That sounds great but it was uncoordinated so I felt like I was repeating myself. The restaurant is clean with lots of natural light. Overall I enjoyed my meal but the dim sum here falls short of the stuff in Hong Kong. And while it is good here, it's not so good that I would drive out of my way to go here again as there are plenty of dim sum spots across Houston. As I dug deeper, I read Jando's glowing review word-for-word and found myself salivating. Well, I ventured out to S. I had read before that they used to be closed on Tuesdays and Saturdays, but now they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but open for dinner on Saturdays. (See my photos.) Anyhow, we walked in and found the place homey. Nothing fancy - just a nice, clean, homey Malaysian restaurant. Not too big, and not too small. We placed our order of roti canai, stir fried flat rice noodles, seafood sizzling tofu, and topped it off with a Malaysian milk tea. Oh my - we were satisfied and stuffed as a party of 2. We ended up boxing up almost 40% of the meal. The roti was near perfection - crispy, hot, flaky. The dipping sauce was perfectly seasoned with the right amount of heat. It included chunks of chicken and potato. You must absolutely order this one. I love me some stir fried flat rice noodles so we got that one with chicken. Overall, it was excellent. Portions were a tad smaller than I would like for the price. Also it could use a little bit of hot sauce so we asked for a side of sriracha which they gladly and quickly brought. The sizzling tofu - OMG so good. I can't even explain it. I just love it so much and the portions are huge. I'm not sure what the vegetable flavor would taste like but we tried the seafood one and have no regrets. Lastly the milk tea was just because we felt like splurging and it was also a great decision. The tea flavor itself is deep and the overall drink is very nice. We got it iced. And an honorable mention - we ran into Uncle Chin (at least we assume it was Uncle Chin) and told him his food was amazing. I think he really appreciated it. He seems like a super nice guy and I want his business to do really well. If that wasn't Uncle Chin then we talked to a random person and raved about the food...
