Made the traditional way, perfectly crispy, and somehow not greasy at all. Just clean, balanced, old-school tacos done right. On Taco Tuesday, they're $2.99 each, which honestly feels like stealing in today's world. The restaurant itself is clean, well-kept, and welcoming, and the service is on point friendly, fast, and clearly proud of what they serve. You can tell this place runs like a well-oiled machine. The menu has a ton of items I'm already planning to come back for, especially the huge burrito (I saw one go by and immediately regretted my order... next time). I haven't had a chance to try Chuck's until most recently when I was in the Upland neighborhood. It is three doors down from Circle K. Great little place serving amazing tacos and burritos! Inside space is clean with good seating. No outside seating. Restrooms in the back (key required). Menu had a great selection of tacos, burritos, and muchies. I wanted to try a little of everything from fried shrimp soft to grilled fish soft to chicken soft and hard to potato plus a refreshing orange bang to rinse it all down. And that's exactly what I ordered! OMG... every single taco was SO DELICIOUS with good amount of protein along with the freshest ingredients! The hard taco's crunch was different compared to other hard tacos that I have tried. I can't pinpoint it, but it's a solid good crunch. If I had to pick the TOP TACO, it would be the chicken soft taco hands down. Lots of flavorful and tender chicken chunks with my favorite condiments, cilantro and onions. That's all you need. SO YUMMY! Orange bang was good, but a tad sweet to start with. I had to add ice to dilute it just a bit... then it was perfect! Young lady staff was super friendly and nice. Food came out timely. Prices were reasonable. Free parking is available right up front of the restaurant. I can't wait to come back here to get more of their delicious chicken tacos and then some. Chucks SUCKS! Why you ask? Well, because there service, fees and attitude is poor. I usually order from them on Uber eats and this time I called ahead and ordered and then picked up thinking I would save a few bucks .. nope. 2 breakfast burritos (which are whatever by the way) I get charged almost a dollar extra for using a debit card and then on top of it I ask for one little more green salsa after spending $22+ and he said he has to charge me!! The best chile relleno I've ever had! No joke. My hairstylist recommended Chuck's Taco. She said the Chile relleno's are really good! And she wasn't wrong. They are amazing. I did get a little worried when I checked the reviews. Seems like many bad reviews from people complaining about the price mostly. And a few bad experiences with the food. But I decided to trust my hairdresser (I mean I trust her with the hair on my head, so why wouldn't I trust her with food! Lol). Ordered the Chile relleno to go and a large soda. And it was tasty even via take out! So yummy. The rice, beans and sauce were a perfect compliment to the Chile relleno! It was really saucy! But yummy. And the soda was great to wash it all down. I have had tacos and burritos here. I am surprised I had not given this place some Yelp Love yet. My best sister and friend ordered the Fiesta platter for me. She called and said, "Hurry and go get the order, I already put it in for you." Luckily, I was heading that direction towards Chuck's as I did a quick iced coffee run before this! I like all the specials they have on the outside windows. There are lots of great food deals and a good menu inside by the cashier. The Fiesta platter was excellent and still is. There are so many appetizers!!! This included nachos, with sour cream, cheese, beans, and guacamole. I suggest you take everything out and eat this first as the nachos could get soggy real quick. Mine stayed good! Other items included 2 chimichangas, 8 mini taquitos, and 4 quesadilla triangles, as well as 3 mild red salsas. This meal had some weight to it and for about 22 bucks with all the cost, fees, tip, etc...so worth it!!! I walked an hour and a half earlier and probably should walk again tonight, lol! Our first time at Chuck's Tacos. We have been wanting to go here for years, and are now so disappointed in ourselves that we waited so long. We really enjoyed the food. The tacos were killer, the frijoles were amazing and the arroz was delicious! I am a sucker for potato tacos and this one did not disappoint. Chucks Tacos has become my go-to Mexican takeout. I went on a random late night for the first time last year, and have been a customer ever since! It's a little place with very reasonably priced Everyday Combos. That's what got me into the door that first time. The Everyday Combos aren't huge in serving; I never have leftovers. It might be considered a snack for some, but it's literally just enough for me! What I've Ordered: Chicken Soft Taco (Everyday Combo): I can't complain! The chicken is nicely seasoned and I get just enough onions and cilantro. The rice and beans are PACKED with flavor! I'd have to say the refried beans are some of the best I've ever had. Asasda Soft Taco: The asada is a little tough (maybe overcooked?), but good flavor. Chicken Hard Taco: The taco shell is tough. It tastes good, but not worth how much you have to work chewing it. Cheese Enchilada (Everyday Combo): Sometimes the corn tortilla is just right, sometimes it's not soft enough, but it's still one of my favorites! I love the enchilada sauce- it's a bit runny, but that doesn't bother me. Their salsa is pretty good! They're very strict with how many you are allowed to get though.. one is never (and will never be) enough for me. Hot Salsa - it's HOT, don't get this one unless you LOVE super spicy. Mild Salsa - My favorite! Perfect flavor and perfect spice level! Green Salsa - bland; I've only had it once. Overall, I like this place a lot, and so happy I gave it a try! Honestly, depending on what day you go there, it is a hit or miss. We started going there because we live close by and they've been in business for a long time. We love authentic Mexican food. We started out with the Carnitas and Asada tacos and they were great. Then when we expanded the menu to breakfast burritos and chili rellenos etc the food was way too salty.
