Came here last week for the first time ever. My fiancee and I came for a wedding planning meeting with our neighbors and we were blown away. It's a small place but the ambiance is very welcoming. The staff were incredible and all provided amazing service and went above and beyond. The food was delicious. We all had a margarita and table side guacamole. We also had the molcajete which was amazing and delicious. We were hoping to try the flan or a dessert there however we were way too full after but next time we will try it. One of the Best Mexican food I have tasted carne asada was in point and marinated 9.5/10 the enchiladas plate on point 9.4/10 the nachos appetizers super good 9.5/10 . This place is right next to my hair salon. My hairstylist recommended it while I was getting my hair done. She was very sweet and ordered it for me, since I had gunk in my hair, was under the heat lamp, and couldn't do it myself. lol The food was done super quick. And it was nice and hot. Perks of ordering for pickup and being right next door haha I ordered the cheese enchiladas combination that comes with rice and beans. The cheese enchiladas have lots of cheese. I loved the rice that came with it. The beans were just okay. The chips were not fresh, and the salsa is a chunky non-spicy salsa. Overall, pretty decent Mexican food. Washed it all down with a soda and I was in food heaven. Boy was I hungry from sitting there getting my hair done all day lol The pricing seems to be average for Mexican food. read more

We've been coming for years no problem. Today I asked for nopales con huevo rice and beens. The nopales were burned. They tasted awful. I told the waiter. He said sorry can we give you something else. I declined. The burnt flavor was still in my mouth. I told him I would eat the beans and rice. When the bill came he charge us $10 for rice and beans. He said he discounted us $5! What an insult! What bothered me most was that he took their mistake very lightly. We will never be back. read more

The food here is freaking amazing. I go here at least five times a month which means almost every week and the owners are very welcoming and super nice. They treat you very well, It feels like family. The food never disappoints, the margaritas are to die for. Jose and Arlene are the owners and they are super fantastic. Maria is great as well and we love Jose the server. They make the guacamole fresh right in front of you. Not a good first impression, but I'd definitely give it another try. I ordered what I thought was the Costa Azul plate and got some shrimp with onions, bell peppers and some kinda tomato sauce. "Definitely not Costa Azul" . Maybe it was my fault for not reading the menu as they call Costa Azul something else? It's a traditional Mexican dish, Costa Azul = Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. Google it! The ambience was chill, they had the dodger game on and there were a couple of large groups which made it feel lively. Besides getting the wrong plate, at 8:30 exactly it was clean up time! Almost that uncomfortable feeling you get when someone is trying to get you to leave. Moving tables, chairs and vacuuming the floor. Not cool when you're trying to enjoy your meal. Sunday night and when you think it's all over, we came into this authentic Mexican restaurant! Greeted by our server Ghianella! Her vibe made the whole experience worthwhile! This is an absolute diamond Lin the rough.. To find this quality in a "strip center" restaurant is somewhat unique.. I had the Taco Salad which they call a tostada salad and my wife has taquitos.. Was looking for a sale day party tray authentic Mexican food for my moms birthday celebration (some last minute changes in schedule/plan) and this place was one of the few places that offered same day pick up. The service over the phone was great, being that they were already very busy. Jose answered all my questions and did make my sale day pick up happen by the time I needed. Food was great! Definitely exceeded my expectations of what the food might have tasted ( we have never eaten here) but we took a chance and glad we went with this place... most especially because it was right off the 210fwy. So since this was a phone order, we didn't get the ambiance experience of the place... but my brother picked it up and said it looked like a cute little authentic Mexican place. Upon arriving he said the service was prompt and great! I would love to be back and eat at the spot. Would recommend. Also... on their website it looks like you can also hire a taco man. I am Azusa-raised, lived in Baldwin Park for over a decade, and worked in ELA for five years. I have lived a life of what is arguably some of the best darn Mexican food you can find. I was surrounded by it. I was spoiled. Moved to north Rancho a little over a year ago and was absolutely shook by the lack of authentic spots. Even tried el Pollo Loco just for a mediocre fix... the chicken has the consistency of tuna. Met a guy at another local spot to see if their fish tacos were it. They were not. Tried a few other places. No flavor. No taste, no spice, just no love. And then I came here. Parking is a shared lot & I will cross the entire expanse of concrete on triple digit days to get my to-go order from here. Camarones a la diabla do NOT disappoint. Served with rice, beans, homemade flour tortillas, salad, & chips & salsa even in to-go orders, the portions are generous and the price (just over $21 total; I tip it up to $25 even on take out) is justified. The staff is friendly and attentive & the environment is clean. Seating at center tables or booths along the edges. I even took one of my childhood friends there recently. She hates everything. I cringe taking her places because I always have to tip extra to make up for her judgmental behavior. She loved it, too. Salsa is more like pico but still flavorful.
