I couldn't tell you the last time I came to Chuck E Cheese and boy was it different. I knew they got rid of the stage where Chuck E and his friends played in a bad but now they have LED projector screens everywhere playing music videos and things. While we were there for about 5 hours, the Chuck costume only came out once and we were lucky enough to already be near his entrance area. The play area was fun for my toddler - I thought he'd get tired after doing all the rides in the first hour, but he proved me wrong and continued to be interested in the space. We paid the additional fee to have access to the obstacle course and trampoline areas so he had fun running in and out of those attractions in between playing games. His favorite activity was definitely the trampoline. We ordered a pizza while we were there and it was pretty flavorful we ate the whole thing between the two of us as it was a small (not personal, but small). With the additional fees and food I ended up spending about $75 here which I didn't expect it to be so much, but my kid had fun and it was a good time. We will definitely come back. I think they have a deal (maybe only for summer) to get a season pass and you get either unlimited play tokens for an hour or something similar and maybe one food item (don't quote me on that) but if you did their deal that might be a good bargain.

    Favorite ride.

The food was great service was wonderful. Jocelyn was very helpful during our first visit taking our Grandson. She answered all of my questions and helped me through the process of getting socks and directing me around. She is a great help. The atmosphere is great. We will be back!! Thank you Joceyln for all your help.

Came here for my grandsons 4th birthday. Sadly, we will not be returning to this Chuck E location (Yorba Linda). I am disappointed with the employees and management. As we were eating, a young kid got sick in the dining area. We all felt bad for the mom and the kid of course. Staff were standing around looking at the mom without bothering to ask if she/they needed help. Although my husband initially got up to help, there wasn't much he could do as the mom was already walking her child to the restroom. The workers didn't bother to clean the area. Instead, the mom returned and began cleaning up the area herself, while her child maybe 10yr. old remained in the restroom. Employees failed to step in and clean it up so she could attend to her child. They were huddled up, watching her and walking around with a bag and a cloth but failed to assist. While the mom was cleaning up, employees all disappeared leaving the front entrance/exit area unattended as well as the front desk. Meanwhile, employees would randomly appear to serve themselves plates at the salad bar and management appeared to be leaving for the night without initially approaching the mom. A manager on her way out appeared to be telling the employees what to do to "sanitize" the area. The manager briefly approached the mom on her way out. Two employees came out to "attempt to clean" the area but failed to do so. They sprayed the area with a solution and walked away. Then proceeded to leave the bottle on the counter within reach of children; it stayed there until we left. Needless to say, employees need to be adequately trained for situations like this. It's a kids place and vomit, accidents are bound to happen. Although the mom was being nice and respectful by cleaning up, management or employees should've offered to help. Rant over! As for the food, we ordered pizza, salad bar and an appetizer samplerit was "ok" the salad was the highlight and clearly by the way the employees were serving themselves, they thought so too.

They say this is the best CEC. I wouldnt know but little Nora explained it was alot bigger and more games. All the kids seemed to be in good behavior. After 12 it gets crazy in here lol Chuck e could have been a little better imo but this party is with 5yos so it doesnt matter much i guess.

Huge screen added to the wall in the party corner.

Well it's finally happened; the stage is entirely gone now. My favorite part of Chuck E Cheese is gone, and my kid is sad about it too. Several of the games weren't working. We "paid" for one game (the Milk Jugs game) and it started counting down how many balls were left in play but it never dispensed any so we didn't get to play our 2nd round. It worked the first try then the 2nd it didn't work. Bummer. Pizza was hot and fresh as usual. Staff was friendly enough but they seemed overloaded probably because of parties. We bought a personal size pizza, 30 play credits, and a Chuck E kids cup and spent $40, which is a bit steep. Removed one star from my previous review for the stage being gone. Now it's just large white walls with character panels and a big screen that plays videos. It's lost its charm. We used to make a special trip all the way to this location because of the animatronics! Now that they are gone we will have to stick to a local location.

If you've been a mom long enough and have thrown enough parties at different places--or on your own--you will truly appreciate Lei and her team. I told my husband this was the first time I had a true "Jesus take the wheel" feeling where I could actually let someone else take care of everything. Usually as a mom, you're taking photos, setting up plates, arranging food, lighting candles, and herding children. I DIDN'T DO ANY OF IT and I am SO SO SO grateful!!! Yes, I still woke up at 2am making sure the car was packed and checking everything off my list, but once we arrived, I didn't have to worry about a single thing during the actual party. Thank you, Lei and team! Everything was exactly as stated in the emails and texts. NOTHING was forgotten. We got the Treasure Package, so we had an hour in the Aquarium Room, an hour in the Beach Ball Room, and then lunch for an hour. My son had the best 6th birthday party, and all of his friends had an amazing time too! The team was thoughtful, kind, organized, and communicated clearly throughout the entire party. The setup was beautiful, and not having to clean up afterward was AMAZING. If you want true white glove service, come to Seascapes. They will not disappoint.

I also liked how social it was for children. Kids were playing together, sharing, and exploring as a group, which made the experience even better. My only concern wasn't the museum itself--it was the behavior of some parents. During our visit, we had several encounters where parents allowed their children to take toys that my kids were actively playing with. In one instance, a parent even encouraged their child to take an item my child was using instead of redirecting them or teaching them to wait their turn. That made the experience less enjoyable. The most uncomfortable part of our visit happened in the arts and crafts area. A man who was there with his family repeatedly stared at my sister, our children, and me in a way that felt unwelcome. We also observed him taking apart other children's art projects so his own children could use the materials. While my sister and I were cleaning up our table, his behavior became increasingly unsettling. At one point, a pair of scissors landed on our table where our children were sitting after he tossed them in that direction. He also walked past us several times, continued staring, and kicked a chair as he passed. I want to be clear that none of these concerns reflect the museum itself. The staff and exhibits were great, and I would still recommend the museum to families. I just hope parents remember that shared spaces work best when everyone models kindness, respect, and consideration for others so all children can have a positive experience.

This year, I wanted to do something different and give myself a break from all the planning, setup, cleanup, and stress. I chose Kids Empire after attending another birthday party here that was so well done. I expected to have that same experience, but unfortunately, ours was the complete opposite. We hosted our daughter's 5th birthday on Thursday, July 11, with about 40 guests. I dropped off our balloons, cake, and drinks ahead of time and was told I didn't need to arrive early because everything would be set up. Thankfully, I did anyway because almost nothing had been put out except the tablecloths, cups, and Kids Empire's drinks. I ended up setting everything up myself. The biggest concern was safety. Both restrooms were closed due to plumbing issues, forcing our guests to walk to Target just to use the restroom. Meanwhile, the back exit door was left wide open for the plumber with no employee monitoring it. Parents from my party stood by the door because we were worried children could accidentally walk outside. When we expressed our concerns, the only response was, "It's open for the plumber." Our party package included seven pizzas, but Kids Empire forgot to order them. We didn't find out until we asked where they were around 6:30. The pizzas didn't arrive until 7:40--after our party had ended--so I ended up giving away full pizza boxes for families to take home. We were also told the dragon mascot would come out, but instead of interacting with the kids, it was only a rushed photo before we were hurried along. I will say the local manager was kind, empathetic, and did everything she could to help. Tried offering free passes to come back. She followed up with me and escalated everything to the regional manager. Unfortunately, the overall handling of the situation still left me disappointed. When the regional manager took away the passes to come back. I chose to have the party here so I could relax and enjoy my daughter's special day instead of worrying about the details. Instead, I found myself handling many of the things I paid the venue to take care of while dealing with issues that should never happen at a children's party. Sadly, I can't recommend hosting a birthday party here. Many parents at our party told me it was their first time visiting Kids Empire, and after everything they witnessed, several said they wouldn't be coming back. Unfortunately, I won't be referring anyone here either.

The Brea location has more seating than other locations I've been to, which makes it a bit more forgiving if you try to do a walk-in. Reservations are made online and cost $5/person, which goes towards your total. From a large palette, you choose five colors. Sometimes if a friend and I want to use the same color, we'll just put it on one person's plate, which ends up giving us more color options overall! There's also a guide on each table with tips for different ceramic painting techniques. There's a cup of various styles and sizes of paintbrushes, and you can also request for a thin bottle for writing or detail-work. You get two hours to paint, but I've never felt rushed with either picking my piece or during the actual painting process. The staff here are always so attentive, courteous, and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. I've noticed that when it gets super busy and you need a paint refill and someone hasn't come by, don't be afraid to raise your hand or walk over to someone, everyone is super friendly. They have a great selection of pottery, and you just pay the price of your piece plus the flat studio fee. The space is clean, and I love that they also offer outdoor seating. Since it's right in the middle of downtown Brea, it's fun to people watch and enjoy the vibe outside on a warm day. They'll occasionally have special events or deals too, like student nights with a discounted studio fee. We have hosted multiple birthdays for our kids here and cannot recommend them enough. The prices are a bit cheaper on weekdays for the same experience and since the party is only a couple of hours, we are usually able to get great attendance for a simple weekday party at an affordable price. You're allowed to bring in your own snacks and they sell pizza/beverage packages. I love that flexibility to bring healthy snacks but also give kids what they really want: pizza. They call you a few days beforehand to confirm details and answer questions. Then when you arrive they handle all the setup of the decorations and banners and gift bags and cake (they ask for nothing frozen) while you go ENJOY YOUR PARTY. To me, this is the huge advantage of hosting your party at a venue and at this venue in particular. The ability to enjoy the party without stressing the details is priceless, and they do such a wonderful job with the presentation. They even asked me to come approve the setup before everyone came in. Then while you're enjoying your time with the kids, they have a photographer snapping quality pictures of all the kids at the party. They climb in the bounce houses and through the play stations snapping amazing candid and posed pictures and play them for you when you're enjoying the pizza and snacks. The flash drive of images, including group photos in front of the ginormous inflatable slide, isn't even crazy expensive. It was like $25, or something like that. The photographer's time and effort was 100% worth the price and gave a lovely memento of the day that I could share with other parents. In short, this place is amazing and affordable and so much fun.
